The Highland Hotel Strathpeffer holds a certain charm linking back to the Victorian era. A sweeping staircase with beautiful stained glass windows pleading down to a baronial sized lounge and reception wood panels on all the walls. The dining room is equally well decorated and the food is good with generous portions and the service is excellent. The bedrooms on the third floor had all very recently been decorated and the view from our window overlooking the delightful little spa town and nearby Ben Wyvis was a bonus. However the mattresses on the beds are tired and about ready to be replaced. Coffee tea and milk are supplied and more can be had from the reception desk. This was the third time I had stayed at the Highland Hotel which says it all.
