We can't rave highly enough for the quality and speed of service, as well as the quality of the item we ordered - a spare wheel cover, vinyl, using a photo taken with my mobile phone. You couldn't wish for anything better and we highly recommend The Sign Maker.

Such a helpful company, great communication. My ledger stone order was very difficult as the church had very strict regulations which had to be approved constantly. The workshop and designer were absolutely brilliant. The approved end result was just perfect. I cried when I eventually saw it. Can't rate them highly enough. Highly recommend.

I was buying a directional sign on behalf of an inner city primary school. The cost was just short of £1,000. The item was sent during a school holiday and so not checked by me until the school reopened. 7 of the 8 finger signs were in good order, one was poorly packaged and scratched/dented. After requesting a replacement of 1 out of the 8 finger signs, I was told that I should have opened the item within 12 hours and informed them immediately and so all they could do was offer me a new finger sign with 50% off the original cost. When I laid out my statutory rights to a refund or replacement within the required timescales in law (not their own made up rules) they caved in and sent a new one. Not before sending emails which were the most passive aggressive I have ever received from a company. I have never dealt with customer service like it in the past 20 years of working here. AVOID at all costs is my advice, particularly if you are a school or large organisation who will not always be able to "check the item immediately and reply within 12 hours" The comical part is that they still insist that all of their terms and conditions are legally correct and that their approach to customer service is justified.

I rang Jackie at The Sign Maker when I was worried and distressed. It was brilliant to speak to such a lovely, helpful and knowledgeable team. The sign arrived bang on time, looking great.

Quality and Craftmanship of memorial crosses is for sure a 5*
Delivery and Packing: 5*
Communication: A few scary moments there, where lack of communication is so bad , that it reflects negatively on the business.
Value for money: 4.5*
Shame the crosses do not go one more size up as the large is more like a small.

Not the fastest, but what do I know about how long it takes to make them?!

My mum and dad needed a clearer house sign to help out of hours carers find the house. I picked a slate sign with white text and it was manufactured promptly and sent for delivery. DPD messed up the delivery but the sign maker team chased everything up and sorted re delivery so that it was received in time for Christmas.

My experience has pluses and minuses. The pluses are the quality of the signs I have received so far are very good and as described. The minuses are:
1. They are quite expensive
2. Order taking and manufacturing seem to be separate so follow up is disjointed
3. You really need to double check the drafts for mistakes in spelling, punctuation etc. They get it right in the end but it is a bit laborious.
4. They are slow and miss delivery dates
