Neal from From simple car and van rental Torquay made car rental simple, quick and easy. This meant I could make the best of a holiday with my niece. Turn left out of the train station and there they are. Price very fair too. I would definitely use them again. They get my recommendation. Thanks Neal!

Such a wonderful service from start to finish. The hire car was immaculate and a joy to drive! Communication was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to family and friends without a shadow of doubt.

I returned the car on a Friday morning during business hours though no-one was around, with no damage to the vehicle. A week later I received an email bill for 125 pounds for damage, which I immediately questioned in response. I received no reply to my email or a follow-up phone message.
The following week I did get a response, which contained an apology for the failure of their systems (automated reply and human reading of their emails) to contact me previously, and with before-and-after photographs showing a small scratch on the front bumper I had not noticed.
So on the whole, a mixed experience. I will use the company again as their past service at Torquay station has been very good. I will try to be sure that I return cars at times when their office is staffed!

Easy booking, pick up and collection at the station very straightforward very courteous and cheerful service.

Updated: Booked a van at short notice for a local furniture move. This was all done in person at the Torquay Station depot. Easy to use service and a fair price for the day's hire. I only needed the van for a couple of hours in reality so picked up at 11am and back by 3pm. Online booking was easy and quick, some documentation required on pickup but no issues. I paid a little more to reduce the excess but worth it to my mind. I previously knocked off a star purely because it took 10 days for the deposit amount of £250 to be removed from my credit card. However I'm happy with the explanation given which meant that the problem lies with Barclaycard. All in all I would recommend this company and I will definately use them again in the future.

Excellent service and information on pick up and return of the car. This was the first time that I had rented an electric vehicle and comprehensive information was given about the operation of the vehicle.

Personal delivery and collection of hire car at Totnes station was exactly what I wanted. It made my travel to and from Devon by train the obvious choice .a stress free and relaxed journey
