Simple Practice has made lots of improvements lately but gosh do they feel expensive. The platform isn’t bad though.

The platform is simple, easy to use, and well supported. The features are very flexible, and allow clinicians to utilize a wide variety of styles and approaches to keep good documentation of their work. A well deserved 5 star review.
The Simple Practice software package made it incredibly easy to start my private practice.
The integration of the various components (e.g., registration, scheduling, billing, EMR, messaging) greatly reduced the amount of work needed to run my practice.
The user-software interface is intuitive and easy to follow.
The reminders to complete important task are very helpful and keep me on top of the logistical aspects of practice.
Clients have been very happy with the portal for managing appointments, billing, forms and communication.
As my first payment and notes system as I begin my career, I really appreciate the ease of use and tutorials for SimplePractice. Most of my clinic colleagues use this platform as well, and recommend it to others. Makes my life easier with all these admin tasks we have to handle as clinicians.
It's very easy to use and they have an amazing support team that will usually respond within the hour regarding any questions with their platform.
I love how information and scheduling is so cleanly and efficiently synchronized on Simple Practice, and that there are varying levels of integration one can choose including a public profile for scheduling. The widget from my personal site to my schedule is effective and makes it more likely that clients will schedule themselves. My only challenge is that while having the video invite and connection in the schedule is highly convenient for telehealth, the virtual background option isn’t yet as sophisticated as Zoom’s so I couldn’t use it because I looked a bit like an alien. Aside from that, each layer of what it offers has worked perfectly for me.
I've been using Simple Practice for several months now to manage my private practice as a family therapist and it is so easy to use and intuitive. I appreciate having all of my practice management needs (billing, scheduling, telehealth, marketing, communication) all integrated seamlessly into a single platform. I work with a lot of couples and it is so helpful to have a platform that allows me to enter clients as couples and have each partner involved in the communication and scheduling. Paperless intakes and autopay cut down on so much of the administrative load. I no longer dread logging into my EHR platform as I did when I worked in an agency setting. My clients have also found SP to be easy to work with and often reach out to me through the secure messaging as an easy way to be in contact about appointments. I considered other platforms initially that were less expensive than SP but the value and ease of use of SP are worth the price. No regrets.
I have been using Simple Practice for scheduling and progress notes for a few years at a group practice. I recently started a solo practice, and I am now also using the billing and professional website features. The dashboard/technology is very user-friendly and intuitive. And when I do have questions, I have found customer service to respond quickly to help address my needs. I also enjoy taking the Simple Practice trainings offered, including the Ask a Biller/Ask an Accountant free series. I highly recommend Simple Practice as your electronic medical record/billing system.
Simple practice is well designed and easy to understand and use.
It has been very easy to navigate and easy for teletherapy practices to manage patients. I wish intake documents were vetted by lawyers.
I have been remarkably impressed with SimplePractice! It is going to be a staple in my practice for years to come without a doubt. It is convenient, intuitive, customizable, and sleek. I love how much it offers from continuing education credits, to the mobile app, scheduling widget, and more and more. I am grateful I found this tool and tell every clinician I know that SimplePractice is the way to go! Thank you!
My two wishes for the platform are: 1. Having a waiting room/admit feature in the tele-health. This is very much needed for smooth transitions into session. 2. Group Therapy. I love leading groups and would love to see a feature that can accommodate this.
Simple practice does everything I need and EHR to do for a very reasonable price. I could be paying someone to do what simple practice does but I would be out a lot more money. It is super user friendly and has made running my practice very simple.
SimplePractice has been great with support on how to best use their platform. I was able to call and speak with someone last week and they easily answered my questions around submitting my first insurance claim. They went above and beyond with helping me adjust a few other things in my settings as well.
I'm still adjusting to using SimplePractice (and comparing it to other EMR's that I've used), but overall it's going well. There are a few things I wish were different (like the client messaging system, manually sending reminders to complete forms, character limits in client messages, inability to format text (bold/underline, etc), and not being able to add tables to my chart notes), but overall the support side of SimplePractice has exceeded my expectations.
Simple Practice has offered me an easy way to upstart my independent practice. I was able to connect my URL with the site easily and the web design - well, it was so easy, I did it in just 2 hours. I appreciate that it's simple to take notes, bill, and invoice - and auto reminders for clients are also helpful. The only hitch is billing doesn't allow you to add tax.
Simple Practice is very user friendly and intuitive. The fact that credit card payments are integrated makes it very easy. I also appreciate having all of the forms available, as well as that I can customize, if needed. Lastly, the couple of times that I needed assistance, customer service was great.
As a new therapist, Simple Practice has made it easy for me to book clients, reschedule appointments, and to make sure invoices are paid. While it’s more expensive than other options, I’ve also been grateful for its ease of use. One suggestion I would make would be around Simple Practice’s telehealth model. I wish there was a way for video sessions to work through a browser instead of needing clients to download a separate app. Overall, though, I’m a very content customer :)
Simple practice gave me the ease and confidence to start my private practice because it was so easy to use and took away a lot of concerns I had on how to start one!
Simple Practice makes running my counseling practice so much easier. The interface is user friendly and intuitive. The only thing that bothers me is the cost and the percentage they take from running payments. I think that everything should be all inclusive, without the percentage that is taken for running a client's card. I also think there are cheaper practice websites that accomplish what Simple Practice does, but I am too lazy to switch over everything. If Simple Practice was a bit cheaper and did not charge a credit card fee, I would give this review 5 stars.
SimplePractice provides every feature I need, on an easy-to-use interface with seamless integrations for me and my clients. The reminders, Help Center articles, newsletter emails, webinars, and more all combine to add value and make SimplePractice feel extra supportive for a solo clinician like myself. I'm a very satisfied and loyal customer who lets all my therapist friends know about the ease of SimplePractice!
This is an amazing program that has contributed to the success of my private practice. I always get help when needed!
