I emailed about an inquiry and I received a swift detailed answer to my question from someone called Gwen. This is something that is to be commended as in the past, other companies have taking eons to respond back to me and the response is often unsatisfactory.

Simple site - deceptive payment
Simple site - make sure you read into the terms and conditions. After the first £1 payment, the next month you pay a 3 month subscription at once.
Don't bother complaining to customer service that the fees are not obvious. You get a patronising response as though the operator somehow feels better than you although I can't see why.

Opened FREE website with them about a…
Opened FREE website with them about a month ago . Now I learn from a Client that the Site is gone . Not even a Courtesy Email . When I emailed them, they indicated that I violated the Terms of Service by putting in an Affiliate link . I emailed back indicating that the a site was simply an explanation of a Mortgage Program and there was no affiliate links but they insisted there was . Bottom line is that they don't want a Free Site. They were hoping that I would just move on and didn't expect me to question them . Definitely not a good impression !

On the contrary we offer all our user the possibility to open a free website, for unlimited time, to try out our service before deciding to upgrade or simply keep using it for free, for as long as they wish. We have thousands of users on our basic free subscription, who have been so for many years and we do punish them for staying on our free plan.
In fact we promote it! As SimpleSite's philosphy is to try and give as many people the change to get online, simple and fast :)
However we do expect our users to uphold to our standards of accepted content on our websites. As I'm sure you're aware there are many people out there who take advantage of our service by using it to promote unsollicited, scrupulous or damaging content. Our content team is always actively checking our websites, to avoid this from happening.
As SimpleSite offers a template through which users can choose to host their content, it is also only fair to say that SimpleSite gets to determine what content is or isn't allowed on our platform. Most content crosses the line very clearly, such as pornographic content, while other content, less obvious, is a grey area that can be argued depending on that person's point of view.
SimpleSite is unjudgemental towards people's views, opinions and what they wish to share online, but we do have a very strict black and white policy when it comes to content that is related to money marketing schemes, affiliates, betting or unrealistic promises.
We're very sorry, but whilst your intentions may be good, Simplesite refrains from hosting website with content that is related to or has the potential of turning into content that may damage our reputation, and as stated in our Terms & Conditions we withhold the right to censor a website at any time. A website is not a storage for your content and it is always advised to keep a backup of your content.
Finally, please note that we do send email notifications regarding the deletion of your website, but that this may have landed in your spam or promotion inbox.
Again, we are very sorry we had to take this measure, and as our customer support has already informed you, you are always more than welcome to create a new website, for free, for unlimited time, within our T&C. We are always more than happy to advise or help you in the matter.
