refunded me money then took it back???

tried to order a bed + delivery from then november 25th 2025. i paid, but they sent the money back which was confusing to both me and my legal guardian. we couldnt find a bank statement either that explained where the money came from and we had to just conclude that i have savings if it turns out the money was sent back by mistake.

the website doesnt mention during purchase that when you pay they return the money while the item is in production, then they take the money from you a second time, which by the way is an insane practice i have never seen in any other store. i had to go searching through their website to find out that they do that and it wasnt actually a cancelled order

i got an order confirmation that said itd take about 6 weeks until i got my item, which wouldve been around the 23rd to 29th of december, but i recieved no updates in the weeks before or after.
i then sent them an email the 12th of january saying that i ordered a bed but had recieved no updates of delivery or even if it was finished, and they had given me my money back (important detail) when i ordered it so i was assuming it wasnt even produced and would be canceling my order
they reached out and confirmed the order had been canceled and i would be refunded

i then RECIEVED money into my bank account, with NO bank statement telling me where it came from, and then a few days later took the money back, leaving my account in minus, also with no bank statment telling me where it had gone
i get that the refunded money wasnt mine, im fine with that, i moved it into savings when i got it just to make sure i still had it if there had been an error, but i still find it appaling that they hadnt paid enough attention to my email to notice that I ALREADY HAD THE MONEY. i did not need to recieve a refund! i had already been given the money back in full!
its also VERY worrysome to me that the money went in and out of my account with NO bank statments and that theres no way for me to check that they actually only took the money i had initially recieved

ive also bought a couch from them, it was delayed and when i arrived to talk to them about delivery they said it hadnt been paid. this confused me as my legal guardian had been the one to pay for it, and he probably thought he had just forgotten to pay when ordering, because he seemed surprised it wasnt paid for

i really dislike their payment nonsense, it should be possible to pay for an item and be done with it, then get informed when the item is in production, when its done, and when it will be delivered and if its delayed. within a reasonable space of time.

I ordered 2 wardrobes and a table

I ordered 2 wardrobes and a table. The table never arrived and fortunately I was able to cancel the order. The packages containing the wardrobes were in a terrible condition and most o them weredestroyed on the inside. Although I called several times trying to explain what happened, sent several emails and tried to return the products using the online form, no one ever answered to my inquiries. It took forever to actually find a person on the phone who was open and willing to help me. After insisting several days, I managed to get my money back. I learned my lesson the hard way and that is to stay away from this store.

Shockingly bad - Avoid at all costs

So we ordered a sofa , waited 8 weeks for delivery. Paid extra for the luxury of them delivering it, as its not something you can just pack in the boot of the car. One man and a van turn up and tell me they only deliver to the kerb. The packaging even states it should be carried by 2 people.

Eventually get the sofa indoors and the frame has been snapped in 2 , which wasn't visible behind the packaging. Not only that the whole construction of the sofa is so poor, probably worse than any I've seen. Now this sofa was expensive, you expect quality. I'd expect better quality if I'd purchased from Temu!

Have emailed customer support as you can't contact them by phone (how convenient!) and they do not reply! Its been 10 days and no response.

Avoid this company like the plague, they are the worst of the worst. Dont be fooled by their nice stores and expensive (low quality) items.

We've contacted the consumer rights council and I think everyone with similar experiences should do too.

P.S we also ordered a bed last year and the same thing happened- arrived broken due to poor quality fixings. We assumed it to be a one off - clearly it wasn't. Although we did get help as we purchased in the store. Seems if you buy online they wont help, as they can just hide and ignore you.

Impossible to get in touch with…

Impossible to get in touch with customer service if something is wrong. No calls going though.

Get delivery time and date in writing. Not sure if it will help since no one is performing customer support, but I wish we’d done.

Orderet sofa 25.10.24

Orderet sofa 25.10.24, with expected delivery time 10-12 weeks, today is 04.03.2025 18 weeks since, last contact i managed to reach told me that expected delivery is end of march, beginning of april (waiting time then double 22-23 weeks) or i can cancel my order according to them. Well not the best experience so far, and the last one for sure in this company, hopefully i will finally get what i ordered ( already paid 60% of total price at the day of purchase). The worst part that i have sold my old sofa from a living room before Christmas, since expected to get the new one, kinda trying to enjoy empty space in my living room.
The offer to cancel sounds ridiculous after waiting so long.
That was the first time im complaining online, please fix your issues 😊

Wish there was an option to give 0 stars. It's been over a month since we have received our chairs without felts and they have not yet sent us the missing felts. Calls are not answered, mails are ignored. Very bad customer service, worst I would say. Very unprofessional people with no sense of responsibility.

Disappointing and irresponsible

I’m amazed this company hasn’t gone bankrupt yet! Their customer service is absolutely terrible. A month ago, we purchased spisestoler, and two of them came with the wrong legs. Despite emailing three times and visiting the Alnabru center four times, we still haven’t received any resolution or updates. Truly disappointing!

I would rather give Skeidar 0stars. Very bad customer service, nobody cares about the customer after the payment is done. There are 10s of problems that Skeidar has caused her but the most annoying problem right now is that our products are incomplete and we are yet to receive the rest of the parts. Nobody replies to emails, feels like nobody cares. Worst experience of my life.

I have ordered chairs since October…

I have ordered chairs since October (now it’s soon end of December) online at Skeidar. They have never responded on the emails. I have called the store in Stavanger they can’t even find the order cause it’s been online. This feels like a scam. I never expected that I would have experienced that in Norway , always shopping online no problems, shipping at a Skeidar store in Stavanger no problem but online it’s a ridiculous situation. I want my money back and a response now.

NO existing customer support!

When I contacted Skeidar after Postnord managed to lose a carpet I had bought a few weeks ago. I heard absolutely nothing even though the autmatic respons said that they would be in touch witihn 48 hours.... it has been a week...And not a single respons. I also tried theyr messenger/facebookpage and no luck... So I guess I am 800 kr poorer and no carpet. Update :They promised to send a new one, but … nope, they didnt, even after repeated mails

Very very creepy

Very very creepy, they blocked me on their website on all my devices.
there was a sofa for sale with the price of 12000, which I tried to buy it with partials payment over 36 months payment, which has been rejected when I applied. So I applied after about one month on their supporting bank, and I got a full cover the price 12000 to pay over 36 months and when I tried to buy I saw the sales was finished and price was 23000, so I did not buy, next thing I saw " you are blocked by Skeidar"

Chairs falling apart!

I bought 8 dining chairs (Town) from Skeidar at Alnabru. They look nice, and the price was approx 2900 each. After weeks approx 10 weeks of waiting they arrived. Due to corona-regulations, the chairs were almost not in use, and we were surprised as they after few weeks got unstable, and came loose in the gluing. Skeidar sent a sympatic guy to repair the chairs, but after re-gluing again, after few weeks they came loose. Skeidar then offered us a new delivery of the chairs, which we received by the end of last summer. Once more, chairs came loose in the glue, so much that they feel unsafe to use. The seat of the chair I use daily for my meals, is also getting flat and uncomfortable to sit on.
We are a couple in the seventies, and are not "dancing on the chairs."

Skeidar has offered me once again to change the chairs, but I have actually reached the conclusion that these chairs are of an extreme poor quality. I mailed Skeidar reclamation department some two weeks ago, as I feel it is time to solve this problem once and for all. Have not heard from them since then.

My conclusions are: Do not buy Town chairs from Skeidar.
Skeidar seems uninterested in solving our problem, so in addition to loosing confidence in Town chairs, I am also loosing confidence in Skeidar

I can not recommend Skeidar, nor Town chairs.

Bought a sofa more than 10weeks ago and after this long waiting time when I sent complain form they answered that there is no compensation and they still dont know when the sofa arrives!They did not bother to write sorry for delay!!!OMG this is the worse service I have ever seen in my life!I am really frustrated and dissapointed after more than 10weeks living with sofa and getting such a reply from skeidar!!!! I am really angry

Have shopped for around 22000 NOK (sofa…

Have shopped for around 22000 NOK (sofa + sofa table) from Skeidar Alnabru, sales promised delivery in 11 weeks, on week 11 I get to know that the sofa has arrived at shop but the sofa table will take another 6 weeks and I had to cancel the sofa table and asked them just to deliver the sofa.

So finally I got the sofa delivered today and they came with completely different legs than what I bought them with.

The legs delivered with sofa are 10 cm in height whereas the module required legs with 4,5 cm in height.
Making it uncomfortably high. An utter disappointment, you can’t even sit properly after spending 22000 NOK and waiting 11 weeks ???

[Update] : I spoke to sales today to express my issues with the order and the lady says this is a mistake by their supplier and they can not do anything, they can ask the supplier to send the correct legs.

Meaning Skeidar does not even verify the order before sending it to customer.

The worst part is that they don't think they are at fault with both delay and incorrect order, instead I was told that I was extremely unlucky that it happened to me.

Seriously do I need to check my horoscope before buying from Skeidar ???
