Great day, ignore the pre-reading, watch some lectures on youtube instead

Great day, quite intensive, lots of information to process for a beginner.
I found the suggested pre-reading to be of little value. It was dull, high in useless terminology (the whole point of the RPA system they are teaching is that it simplifies the terminology) and lacking in Plain English.
The speakers were enthusiastic and fun, leaders in their field.

A great course to increase my confidence in diagnosing skin lesions. Lots packed in to the two days and well facilitated. Great venue at Goldsmith’s London.

I enjoyed this course have had no dermatoscopy experience previously. The course is very methodical.
The dermagene dermatoscope to fit on the mobile phones is not particularly useful.
As the books on sale about dermatoscopy were reasonably priced, reading them before the course would have been very useful, therefore they could be included in the course fees. The summary from the book was however helpful pre cites reading.

Lead by GPs and aimed at the…

Lead by GPs and aimed at the non-dermatologist, they lead you through a sensible and helpful approach to dermatoscope that does not assume you know everything already.
They went through 2 pathways for identifying lesions, one with pigment and one without. They showed multiple images to get us spotting benign and malignant lesions by pattern recognition and break down of structures.
The only slight niggle was they did not go through any mnemonics to help memorise the clues.
The venue was good with nice food and facilities.

International Certificate of Dermatoscopy and Skin Cancer Medicine (London)

Very informative symposium held over two consecutive days, which has greatly enhanced my clinical knowledge and will improve my confidence to use the dermatoscope for the early diagnosis of skin cancers and recognition of benign skin lesions, in General Practice.
The speakers, experts in their field, were excellent and entertaining.
I would recommend the symposium as it does cover a large amount of clinically useful information about dermatoscopy that I had no knowledge of beforehand.
