This app is great

This app is great , I have used it a few times and they get straight back to you , I’m in the process of getting one mole checked as they suggested I see a doctor . Customer service is great too . Highly recommend

I think it's a waste of money

I think it's a waste of money. They kept saying I have a low risk mole despite it clearly evolving over the years and later diagnosed as melanoma.

Achieve peace of mind

When you discover an unusual mark or blemish on your skin, it can be an agonising wait between its discovery and its diagnosis. The SkinVision App will reduce the wait, reduce your anxiety, and give you peace of mind. My family and I have used it on several occasions to identify Basal Cell Carcinoma and thankfully harmless blemishes. Reassuringly, you will receive support, guidance, and follow-up from the SkinVision team. Once armed with the SkinVision warnings and information, I received successful treatment from my local health centre.

Great App and great customer support

I’d been monitoring a mole on my thigh and used the Skin Vision App twice before to check this mole. This year my husband noticed it had changed so I used the App once again. This time the report came back as ‘needs to be checked’ so I knew I needed to see a dermatologist. It did turn out to be a Melanoma but was caught early thanks to Skin Vision. It’s all removed now and no spread of cells. I cannot recommend Skin Vision highly enough and recommend them to as many people as I can. They are always very helpful and quick to respond. I’ll definitely be using them in the future :)

Very poor customer service

I have been using the app for quite a while and just renewed my annual membership. SkinVision have usually been very good at responding to emails and helping with any issues however something has clearly changed. I have sent numerous emails about the same issue and to date have only received automated responses. Today I sent a final complaint email but still no response. I am now going to contact them to refund my annual fee and will look elsewhere for a company who treats their customers with more respect.

Perfect for what I needed

Perfect for what I needed. I was told by the doctor looked funny and could be skin cancer / melanoma for two moles.
Refered yet took a month for the biopsy so out of my mind with worry and had a lovely holiday so used skin vision before rather than my life go on hold and gave me peace of mind as low risk still worried but it helped a lot, also had another mole they didn’t remove that caused me endless worry.
It was getting it removed regardless but needed a second opinion to ease my mind and also test the app. Impressed both times and will use again on my surrounding moles.
Just got a letter today it’s fine.
No one is 100% right but it has to go hand in hand with doctors and on this occasion the app was right and the narrative was completely correct.

here 's what happended ...

Be aware that if you select the single spot what could happen ( I did happen to me! ) is that , as a result of the analysis, you should go to a dermahologist for a visit and you are not etitled to a refund for the money you paid !! it's just a waste of money..

Used them once

Used them once. No concern but then kept on getting reminders. I emailed asking them to remove me from all their mailing list. They refused. They said I had to log in to my account. Having deleted the app, that was impossible.

I have a lesion on my lower lip…

I have a lesion on my lower lip that has been a concern of mine for a while. It started as a freckle ( or so I thought ) and has now turned into a black/blue lump a bit like a blood blister. I downloaded the app after no luck at getting a drs app. The app takes you through step by step instructions so you can easily take the photo of the marks you’re concerned about. The app has stated that my lump is high risk, they came to that conclusion after my photo had been compared to other photos of skin cancer that had been stored in their data base. I took the information that the app gave me to the dr who got me in as emergency app. My dr has taken his own pictures and sent them off to dermatologist, the dermatologist wants to see me within 2 weeks. This app isn’t designed to give you a diagnosis but to help you manage your suspicious moles, lumps and bumps without hassling the GP. It’s helped me and actually got me an appointment quicker with my DR/GP! The app also has details on skin cancers the different types and what to check for. Also has info on the non cancerous marks lumps and bumps including freckles. A small charge too to get some piece of mind.

Great app,lousy panel…

The app recognised my mole as suspicious.
My excision biopsy concurred.
Melanoma insitu.
However the skinvision review panel disagreed and said mole not suspicious yet.
AI app 5*, Dermatology panel NIL.

Useless!

Really difficult to know if it is reliable…

Really difficult to know if their system works. As I am unable to get an appointment via the NHS I tried the skin vision app', which worked ok, and the result was "negative". However, it is worrying that the assessment, for which you pay, is an algorithm and the image is not viewed by a person. £7.00 for a few seconds processing time...In addition, peer-reviewed publications certainly question the reliability of SkinVision and similar apps.

Not professional. Very disappointing.

Waiting too long for an NHS appointment and worried I may have a cancer/melanoma, I downloaded this app. It is more hassle than it was worth!!

On the app is the specialised camera, photos taken of my cancer growth within a circle on the app, trying to get that right is almost impossible. There is a paid version on the app at £3.99 a photo. A family member took two photos of two areas of my body, face and hands, and I was told the photographs were too blurred, eventhough they were taken on an Apple phone of course, so should be no problem at all.
I was told to take two more photographs and they will be free of charge. So took 2 normal photographs on my sisters phone and sent them, only to be told they were not allowed but they will keep my money that I paid (which proves that there are no doctors thereafter all). I've now got to work on that to get that back.

So, wasting what worked out to be a week taking and sending photos and waiting for a result, and a threat to be charged for nothing. It's not just another app that's a waste of time to download, its wasted waiting time too. Plus references I did read, most often either said the test was negative but they had cancer, or the test was positive but they didn't.
