Had a great experience at first but the last few months have shown me how terrible this poker site is. Really poor players get rewarded so stay away
Avoid the bots
Hadn’t read the reviews until after i have cashed out and uninstalled the App and I can now confirm the site is rigged in the favour of bad players.
It happens in poker; you can get called by a donkey with A rag vs KK and they can luck out but bad beat hands after hand in the favour of bad players is demoralising. The final straw for me was being called all in pre flop by 94 against my 88 (on the bubble both short stacks) and him hitting a 9 on the river. These kind of hands consistently happen on this poor site and I’m writing whilst I’m ahead and won’t be back.

Not been here for a while and after 50 hands i can remember why..... Poker sites are always under fire for the deals and can often feel targeted as a player.
This site is very frustrating after playing poker online and offline for over twenty years (both are very different experiences).
Most of the time your dealt a hand like 6 2 off suited and cant do very much with this deal, then you have a decent pocket and you can guarantee the river will deal out the best card for the donkey. You can have a set or even a straight but the person gambling it all with nothing wins every time on the river and this is the constant.
I dont play online to get rich but to pass the time and play on numerous sites, this is the worst site tilting and it seems some of the players know how to work this too their advantage and wine with a 3 2 off suited or such like every time.
There are other sites who's algorhtyms are not quite as aggressive, online poker will always have an element of doubted trust (as someone who is familair with API's etc i know how this all works) But when your constantly losing to the worst hand post river you have to wonder how this is so consistent and why....
I will let you make apply your own theory to keep the review in line with conditions, I cam here due the dollar being weak but actually playing the dollar elsewhere proves to a much better playing experience. The sites with little population have to be aggressive with their algo's to make their profits hence it why it feels more aggressive as opposed to other global sites with ten times the population and less need to manipulate to deal to increase profits.
Remember the site needs you to play but they dont want to pay you in the long run.... you do the maths ;)
The software and game flow is great but little tables as people who play here invest small and dont stah for long.......for obvious reasons ;)

After a month thought I’d give it another chance, nope! Players chasing seem to get rewarded, maybes sky likes their money more? Are they putting more in? To many flushes - had a player call with 10/8 because they were suited - and guess what? Flush turns up. Chasing a run? Sky will oblige

Worst poker site ive ever played on…
Worst poker site ive ever played on ...i will As or a high hand 90% of time will get called with weak hands n get beat
Eg ..tonight i had AQ went all in got called with pairs of 3s..flop comes A Q 2 NEXT 2 CARDS 4 THEN A 5...really got lost sky u need to be investigated quick i for one will be reporting ur bot players...enter one torney at a time yet on heads up 10 of the games got same player ...how your getting away with it..oh i know how cos of who you are ...cheating scumbags
Other sites are better.
First of all, I am biased, I am down £1000. I am a decent player. In person and on poker stars I consistently make profit, some losses but on the whole, very much a profit. Like I said, I am good, no professional by any standard but good, better than 95% of people.
I do not want to say it’s rigged because obviously it’s a mixture of skill and luck but what I will say, is that poker consists of one deck of cards. Therefore, it should be impossible for two of the exact same card to come up. Except that happened to me and when reported to sky and photographic evidence shown, they stated it was an error and the wrong symbol showed up… This was days ago and millions of people have played and they have errors like that after years? That should make you question things.
Also, any real poker player knows that sky poker shows better hands than real poker to keep people interested. The amount of Royal and straight flushes, flush’s, 4 of a kind is just absurd and therefore it makes the experience different to real poker and other better sites. It tricks you into thinking you have a good hand to put more money down but everybody has a better hand then usual because they want you to make more money.
Lastly, there are some players which are on the higher value tables all the time (blinds of 2 and 4 +) Daily. Eg.chucksnuts. Again I do not want to make accusations but this player in particular goes all in and raises with awful cards and wins almost every time. There is skill and luck involved in poker but this player has gone all in with 2’s and 3’s of different suites and won against pocket K’s. The amount of times I have seen this player so this and make 1000’s is absurd and completely unrealistic.
This is just my observations so take it with a pinch of salt. Observe yourself and make your own observations. My advice, if you insist on playing on this site, stick to low value. Anything above 50p big blind, go to a more reliable site, or even better a real casino.

Everyday experience of mind blowing beats, but hey that's poker. But tonight has done it for me, BB sitter who has been out for 3 rounds I'm in SB call all in to take his blind, BOOM he magically appears with AK and throws my 2 hours of hard work out the window. Never again with sky poker and I'm changing to another account completely.

Sky poker is the best poker site I have…
Sky poker is the best poker site I have played on, and I have played on many. Once you have got used to 6 handed games it's almost impossible to go back to 9 or 10 handed. People say the graphics are no good but I disagree. There is no clutter and fancy gadgets it is just basic and easy to use when multi tabling. I sometimes play pokerstars and 888. But get really bored with the huge fields and 9 handed games mean you can't play as many hands. As far as I am concerned, Sky Poker is the best of the lot.

I play on sky but it is rigged to fk 1 hand me trips and 2 full houses me least chips all in Jj kid top chips Jj you no what happened then table disappears and there is never no explanation I no you can have bad beats but if there trying to get numbers down on torneys they give you and hand but if someone calls with more chips your out if someone watched they wouldn’t believe chip leader it’s what ever they need on river

Never seen so many bad beats in my life, I raise pre flop, flop and turn with pocket tens, no 7 2 9 board, 6 turn, I raise, he goes all in on turn, I call, he shows pocket 4s and hits his two outer on the river, absolute shambles

Don`t bother. Waste of time and money. Website keeps crashing, game is void and no refund of stake as they say "not our fault"
Ten years playing at SkyPoker.
Whilst I'm feeling in a "leave-a-review" frame of mind I thought I do one about SkyPoker . . .
I've been using the site for over ten years, since before it changed hands and the site had a cable TV channel and when there was a highly entertaining "Area 51" section of the forum where all of the conspiracy theories could be posted and discussed. Some of the threads were comical, and included my own contributions to some of the points made. Is it any more "corrupt" or "rigged" than any of the other sites I've played on? I haven't found that to be the case.
From a point of my playing style, I use to play the low level cash tables as part of my "apprenticeship", and the facility to be able to download your initial hand, playing records and profit & loss figures was a huge benefit (although I'm not sure you can still do it now). The numbers showed where I needed to plug leaks in my game. However, over an analysis of c75,000 hands it was clear that my results were in the red, almost entirely due to the effect of the 5% rake - which if you calculate it as a proportion of the profit you make on a winning hand, and not the amount that goes into the pot, can be a lot more than 5%. I tended to play pretty tight (ie folding my initial hand more than 80% of the time) but still, around once in every 200 hands (half a percent of the time) or so, I'd run into someone who "just got lucky" (usually with a 11-1+ prospect on the river) and I'd be cleaned out and have to suck up the spike effect on my overall results. Eventually I came to the conclusion that for me cash games were just too volatile and as the variance fairy wasn't a blood relative.
I now play low level DYMs where the variance is lower (you only have to be in the top three of the initial six players to cash out) and my last deposit to Sky was over 18 months ago - I've been running on that, and making the odd footie or GG bet from it, every since. I should admit that I've stopped taking the poker thing quite as seriously as I once did, and now only play for pennies - largely due to the fact that I resented handing over £££s to "lucky Frank Spencers" (a term used in a forum exchange I once read).
With regard to the underlying software and service, I too have seen some completely jaw-dropping turnups, and if you were playing with strangers in a room above a pub you'd certainly be justified in thinking you were being turned over and should reach for your gun - one was so impressive that I actually popped open a spreadsheet to calculate the probability of it happening, and it worked out at over 100K-1; something that sits at more than 4.4 standard deviations. Hmmm? When I've queried such things on the forum board I've received the usual line around "our RNG is independently certified bla bla bla" but I doubt there's anyone involved with the management or admin of the site that has a scooby around how the technology that powers it all hangs together. The output from an RNG seed may indeed be as random as it's possible to be, but there's nothing to stop any developer at the software house that provides the platform from manipulating that output in any way that they wish. Despite this I've always been skeptical of claims that the site is fundamentally rigged as so many claim, and it's a fair point that in over 20 years since online poker became popular there's never been a single case of a disgruntled employee of an online site or software house, anywhere in the world, publicly spilling the beans around gaffed software being used. I appreciate there have been security screw-ups on some sites during that time.
For other stuff, the UI hasn't been a problem for me (albeit it hasn't altered in over 10 years) and is clean and easy to navigate, although the goodies in the way of free entry into some tournies is now nowhere near as generous as it once was - years ago if you clocked up 50 bonus points in a month you got some free entries but now you need to clock that up each week.
Overall then, I've found the SkyJoker site (as it's known by many regular, and no doubt losing, players) to be just another site offering the usual range of game variants (cash, SnGs, tournies) to tempt punters who fancy their chances. And just like most other sites, with the exception of a very few hard nosed regulars, it's going to be the site owners that are the ultimate winners - there's no variance on the rake or entry fees payable.
