Being conscious of the ODB port plug in device makes you constantly moderate your driving until it become second nature. The reports sent out are very useful to show your progress.
The only gripe is the scoring around breaking. It doesn't matter how good a driver you, occasionally, you will have to break suddenly to avoid a collision.

Great company, decent prices.
I’ve been using this company for 3 years and can say that the customer service is great. I have a business car insurance and the discount promised at renewal was more than I was expecting. If you don’t mind having a “black box” with your insurance and if your driving is good on a daily then you will appreciate the price of the premium.

Drive well and save money
I’ve recently renewed my insurance with Smartdriver because the renewal price was the cheapest. I really like having the “black box” as it confirms that I’m driving sensibly and it means that for the second year running, I’ve received a 40% reduction on the cost of my insurance. I haven’t needed to make a claim so I can’t comment on how they deal with claims. However, I have never struggled to contact them and they seem to be very fair. Highly recommended.
