Took a bike for a test ride a week ago

Took a bike for a test ride a week ago, walked out with the keys to my new bike today!!

Called and spoke to Josh about taking a bike for a test, he was so warm and friendly I popped down the following day! Josh basically said go ride and decide if you like it or not, just be back for closing at 5pm!
I clearly loved it so much I bought it that day.. Josh made the finance and arrangements for preparing it ready for the road so easy (decent cuppa coffee too!) and when it would be ready etc. Leo was a huge help and I thank him very much..
Collection day I asked to be Friday rather than Saturday and the guys said no problem, and as promised it was sat ready to ride away.. Josh went through everything and got me to practice just to check I was happy with settings and how to manoeuvre around the technology, amazing! I was introduced to the service department who were so friendly and booked my first service..
The shop is easy to get to and full with new and used bikes, and all different makes too. Service department is full of bits and bobs that us bikers love to pick through too, and everyone is friendly, genuine bikers working for bikers!
I highly recommend them and their services +++++A

Bought a car from here 2 months ago and…

Bought a car from here 2 months ago and I would suggest go elsewhere. Didn’t come with a V5c to transfer over to me or paperwork for services done, even though the advert stated full service history. For 2 months I have been asking for the service docs and for 2 months being fobbed off with yes we will send it. I haven’t been able to tax the vehicle because the incompetence of this dealer not sending the V5C form. Plus the car had done 1000 more miles than stated in the advert and now the brake warning light has come on. Stay away there’s better dealers not these cowboys who mess you about.

My advice to anybody that's thinking of…

My advice to anybody that's thinking of a purchase from s.m.c bikes is (DON'T DO IT) terrible company. I purchased a bike from them which was sold to me in a faulty condition and they did nothing to help. I had a engineer come out and do a report on the bike and I was advised not to ride it, but s.m.c bikes still wanted me to ride the bike to them which could have easily caused harm to my self or others. They have done nothing to help with the vehicle that they sold to me with faults. Honestly do not purchase from these guys because they are terrible and just don't care about the customer. Full of smiles when they are selling you a vehicle but as soon as you have a problem (which is their fault) they couldn't care less.

Sales.Recently bought a second hand Triumph…

Recently bought a second hand Triumph tiger 1050.
Was dealt with by Will who was a very nice guy to deal.
From point of sale to delivery, the experience was nothing but positive.
Even the delivery guy who unfortunately I can't remember his name was very pleasant and informative .
Very happy with whole procedure and would not hesitate to use them again.

- [ ] Delivery I can’t really fault apart from the other two items I’d paid for out of the deposit wasn’t delivered with the bike so had a 1 1/4 round trip to collect them wasn’t even offered a discount as it was there mistake costing my time and fuel
- [ ] Battery not charging
- [ ] Made phone call around 0915 picked hike up an hour later top marks
- [ ] Justify over a week later bike almost sorted turned out to be a faulty battery “just my damn luck”.
- [ ] Arranging delivery, spoke to a guy in service he wanted to charge me £50 to have it redelivered when it only cost me £20 the first time “wasn’t happy and made it known”.
- [ ] Hung up and spoke to sales which in turn backed me up with the delivery saying I shouldn’t have to pay anything when I’d only had the bike a day.
- [ ] Bike in for the for it’s first service on the 19th November, very kindly got it in the same day. Everything checked but was a little put off when i was told the filter didn’t need changing as it was an oil strainer. So I’ve looked into it a bit more via Sinnis group and the terrain 125 Euro 5 model has a filter so now I’m worried that that other stuff has been missed or hasn’t been checked. I was also told i would be fine using E10 fuel in my 72 reg Sinnis after i’d mentioned it to a sale representative at the store.

Probably the best dealer in UK

I can honestly say after buying new bikes over the last 25 years that these are the best dealer to buy from. Josh has been absolutely fantastic. Always gets back to you even when they are closed. I’ve just had a brilliant experience and I’ll definitely will be buying from them again. Thanks again Josh 👍👍👍

From a very dissatisfied customer.
I took my pcx scooter to SMC for MOT and service, there was a noise on my scooter and I asked if this could be investigated and looked into the probable cause of this.
My husband called them to find out what was happening to be told that they had dismantled the gear box,replaced the bearings without any discussion. I was unhappy as i had asked them to investigate the noise not to strip down the full gearbox or do any work without prior agreement. Then was told that it wasn't the bearings and my scooter required some more bearings. My scooter was with SMC for 5 weeks with no communication. When I finally collected my scooter I was given a hefty bill to pay for work that wasn't agreed and what was done without my prior consent.
My experience with SMC showed lack of communication, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and work being undertaken that was not agreed or consented to . I personally WILL NOT BE USING SMC in the future due to my experience.

SPOT ON. RECOMMENDED

Some negative reviews on here but having bought a used Ducati earlier in the year ive found the bike to be excellent, the staff to be eager to chat and help even on days when you dont buy anything, the service department to be excellant and go the extra mile and the whole team especially the manager to have a very customer focused approach and overall the experience to be spot on,

Worst bike dealer I’ve ever had the…

Worst bike dealer I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with.
Sold me a Ducati that wasn’t even launched and took my deposit saying I’d be at the front of the queue.
They are dishonest and when you go in showroom the can’t be bothered to deal with you.
Oh and when you complain they give it the come over we will have a coffee and bacon sandwich. Then when you turn up. They make out it was never offered.
Come on guys it’s a sandwich and a rank coffee.
Just about taking your money this set of cowboys.
I’ll never step back in the shop again.

Avoid

I wanted to buy a brand new motorcycle, i emailed them if they had it in stock, no reply. Next day i drove down there and they were all "in a meeting" and no-one could be bothered to come out and speak to me (10am in the morning). Left my number with reception, no one called me back. Voting with my feet, avoid.

This company acts with upmost…

This company acts with upmost dishonesty. Ordered and paid for items online. I was subsequently called by phone that the items were priced in error and that I would have to pay the extra if I was to receive my order. I had explained to them that the contract had been formed as payment was accepted for the said goods for the published price.
The company said they would get back to me. However within half hour of the call I was notified through my PayPal account that SMC have refunded my order. This was done without my knowledge so I called SMC and I spoke to a manager who then advised the items were not in stock and could not fulfill my order.
The manager had actually lied about this just to get out of the consumer law ‘invitation to treat’ rule. The company clearly has breached its contract with me. I could actually pursue this through the courts but simply can’t be bothered of all the hassle. Just simply avoid this frivolous, rude, unprofessional company.

I regret ever dealing with SMC.

Bought a new motorcycle from them as the sales guy Paul, was pleasant and easy to deal with. Aftersales extremely disappointing. Warranty/recall work not done despite leaving bike with them for a week . No call back from Service department despite repeated requests. It would seem as soon as SMC have sold you a motorcycle they lose interest . I now deal with Jordans in Leeds and they have been excellent.
I regret ever dealing with SMC.

0/5 I just got robbed by the service department I got charged for a tracker device on my 959 Panigale for £65.35 to check the tracker device and was told to pay further £330 for cost of labour to replace the tracker and speaking to Ducati I was told that labour cost is covered by Ducati under warranty. I even took extended warranty when I purchased the bike.

I enquired about a service for my Ducati Monster via SMC,s service designated email system and received a confirmation email but their service department did not bother to make any contact with me so I took it elsewhere.I bought the bike from them new and am now ready to change it but their poor service has lost my custom.

Selling products they do not have...

Ordered an exhaust system. Full payment took immediately at checkout but item not despatched until 8 days later. Took 10 days to receive the item from the point of ordering it and paying in full. No order update or despatch email. Sent 4 emails to Customer Services to chase my order but only got 1 reply with no apology or explanation for the delay. Had to escalate to a PayPal claim to get their attention and then they finally replied and said they had to order it from the supplier as they didn’t have it in stock. This company took my money in full without having the product available and didn’t bother to update me at all.
