What went wrong...

What went wrong...
The Tramway & Central store locks it's doors & not allow anyone in @10:25 pm yet, this location is supposed to be open till 11 pm. So, when I get off of work btwn 10 after 10 or 10:15 pm & race over to the above location to grab milk & bread for the morning.... I'm told by security that the store is closed @ 10:25 pm & not permitted to go in & grab 2 items. THIS has happened to me three different times NOW, one time I made it in when I arrived @ 10:20 pm only to be told by security that I had 5 minutes & a second after he told me that, a woman comes over the PA & announces I have three minutes before the store closes & the registers shut down. Mind you it was almost 10:30 pm. then.
So, what's the deal?
Why tell the public this location is opened till 11 pm when all you do is frustrate people like myself blatantly, & purposely. I've been a Smiths customer for over 40 yrs & never in all that time have I ever been treated so rudely. This is the first & only time I've ever complained about ANYTHING but, there comes a time where enough is enough. I read in the complaints & this is also going on at a Rio Rancho location as well & for as hard as some of us have to work & with as much money as I spend with you folks it's very disappointing.
I'd appreciate you guys figuring out what time it is that you really close & also remembering that your customer is the whole reason you have a job.

I can't believe how RACIST this company…

I can't believe how racist this company is. I was fired because I was outperforming all the workers who have been there a long time. The racist managers made up lies to the brand new store manager, (who has never seen me work before.) I did nothing wrong. I worked multiple aisles every night in a quick, timely fashion and assisted my teammates in need. The managers were just jealous of me. All I did was keep my mouth shut, worked hard, and supported my teammates. What an embarrassing, racist company to work for.

Horrible customer service

Someone hacked into my account and placed a fraudulent order, called customer service right away. The agent kept redirecting me to contact my bank if I don't recognize the transaction and said that Smith isn't going to investigate on their end. No accountabilities whatsoever! And hung up on me!!

Employees at the Rio Rancho Smith’s are…

Employees at the Rio Rancho Smith’s are solely concerned with closing before the posted time. The store posts closing time is 11:00 pm and even the workers that collect the carts around the parking lot make they let shoppers know “we close in 15 min…. Got it?”which I was told at 10:30 pm.
If you do not want to work until 11:00 pm, then do not choose to work at a store that closes at 11:00!
I am a healthcare professional who works very long hours and depends on store that are open until 11:00 pm….. maybe I should keep shopping at Walmart where employees stay in the store until closing at 11:00!

Get out of the APP business Smiths

The app consistently fails, I just wasted 2 hours ordering, problem solving, and trying to give smiths my money - which they wouldn’t take because they have a random error code when I click ‘complete order’ that prevents me from paying for groceries. DOnt go into the app business if you don’t know what you are doing! I’ll NEVER shop ant Smiths again!!!!

Zero value app and a waste of time! I hate SMItHs!

MORE TRAINING !!!!This store needs training for its…

This store needs training for its employees starting with the manager so the way to security in diplomacy and customer service. Being reliant on their money services desk, and without a vehicle, the walk here(which is the closest grocery to home) is about 40 minutes one way. The service desk has ALWAYS been open until 8pm up until recently. 4 days straight, I arrived at an earlier and earlier hour starting at 7pm, then 6pm, then 5pm and then 4pm only to be turned away and unable to cash my check to pay utilities without any explanation as to the current hours, if any at all. There are NO hours if service posted ANYWHERE, and when I questioned them about this, the manager had security escort me out of the store without cause or explanation. AGAIN, this is a grocery store which I was not permitted to purchase any FOOD at all. I was calm, I was confused, because I NEED to pay my utilities and I was treated like a criminal while I was in fact a paying customer!
Outside of the store, in the cart pickup area there is a man panhandling and when I told him I didn't have any cash, he threatened to shake me down for a card.. YET here I am being escorted by security out of the store.
Kroger foods and its subsidiaries really need to rethink this overall strategy of running the ONLY neighborhood market and train the employees on, HOW to identify actual threats, and train appropriately on HOW to SPEAK, and interact with paying individuals rather than chase them to the competitors without cause.
I will NEVER EVER go back to this store and I will post this same exact review in every outlet and forum possible due to the, 1. Harassment & threat from the panhandler outside, 2. Not maintaining proper signage of hours (that would have saved me 4 days worry of walking to and from 49 min each way, 3. The inability to purchase DESPERATELY needed FOOD!
If you can avoid this store, do so at all costs! There is a Walmart market another mile away in the opposite direction along with several other chains within a 5 mile radius that have better prices, better trained employees with diplomacy and proper training in every kind of customer service.

Update 5/4/2024

Update 5/4/2024: Kroger's greed has gotten much worse. The ONLY 2 cards excluded from 4x the fuel points promotion is phone cards and amazon gift cards? Absolute rampant unchecked greed is what that is. I see the dumb game points thing is gone as fast as it showed up. The website is still there but no one is earning points anymore. There is only one thing and one thing only that happens after company/business mergers, complete closure with or with bankruptcy. Albertson's is even more expensive and if they think they are bringing that nonsense around here with our local economy tanking they better prepare for the worst. I am preparing to shop here as little as possible in the future and they brought it on themselves. Profit before customer never works out in the long run. I have spent thousands over the years in my local smith's/kroger and they just keep taking and taking. Every single time I shop I need to check my receipt to make sure they honored their sale prices. It's quite exhausting but they know they are doing it. They prey on people's busy lives. I will call them on it EVERY TIME in these inflated times. Unfortunately there are a few items that no other store in the area has, so I'm forced to go here for certain things. The worst part is them selling the fake non reloadable visas, mastercards and t-mobile cards and then saying "oh well too bad, call the company." Knowing full well the companies will do NOTHING about it. They know they are selling fake cards, they don't care and they keep doing it. The card company lies and says they will send out a new card.No they won't. Both the card company and smith's/kroger are committing fraud and theft. I have reported them and prepaidgiftbalance.com(AKA U. S Bank, other reviews match my experience)for it but I'm just one person, we need lots of reports for the bank to be sued and the retailers need to help accountable also because they know what's going on and they let it happen.

The employees

The employees! I love ❤️ every person who works at Smiths. I shop there some mornings just so I can see certain people.
