Excellent service
Having ordered the bug body in the blue to match the two headless hoods I already owned, Snuggy Hoods very kindly sent me the full bug rug they had on stock at no extra cost (due to having a delay in sourcing more of the blue material to make one to order). Absolutely could not fault this service, I received the item the next day in a lovely package. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I love your snuggly hoods and rugs for my girl they fit so well and easy to size:)
My girl gets bitten a lot from flies, midgies and mosquitoes under her belly and I love how that protects her.

The most helpful company to deal with
The most helpful company to deal with, customer service is amazing. Always at the end of the phone to answer any questions. They were extremely helpful checking the fit of my rugs via photos and accepted them back and swapped them for a different size without any quibble at all. I brought the wrong colour in the sale and they swapped it for me even after the sale had ended. You get what you pay for and snuggy hood products are the best! After sales are also fantastic.

I really like this product but could be…
I really like this product but could be a little more rugged. It costs a lot of money to have it easily rip. It does help though with protecting my horse from itching.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee against damage but the fabric is incredibly easy to repair unlike a mesh or turn out type rug.

Not worth the money!
The rug was stated that they won’t get over heated in, however once I brought my horse in yesterday she came in dripping in sweat and the sun wasn’t even shining.
Also the purpose of the job is to stop the bugs however they’re still irritating my horse massively with the rug on.
Over all not very impressed as it was a very expensive rug!

I am sorry to read your review Erin.
It is definitely not common or normal for a horse to overheat in these summer hoods and rugs, hence them being sold and recommended for decades - both here in the UK and overseas (as you will see from thousands of other reviews).
You may find the animal a little warmer over the first couple of days - but he/she should definitely NOT be dripping in sweat. If this is the reaction you have encountered, I would definitely suggest that the rug is not suitable for her. I am really sorry if this is the case. It is incredibly rare.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee suitability for each and everyone (as with any product), but normally after a couple of days use, the horse will start to shed coat - which you will find in the belly cover as described on the site. This is the horse adapting to the new blanket.
I am very surprised to hear that she is still being irritated by the bugs though? They are unable to get to the skin with this blanket on?? It is physically impossible for them to get through or under the blanket so long as the fit is tight enough. I wonder if it may be too loose - allowing them inside the blanket?
