The right result after a disappointing start
My door had badly bowed after it was little more than 3 years old. My installer had ceased trading and so I contacted Solidor directly. Their initial response was very disappointing. They didn’t want to accept any responsibility for their product and it was some time before they agreed to replace the door. After nearly 4 months the door has now been replaced and I can only hope that this one does not bow like the first one. Rhea, who I ended up dealing with over the phone, and Ash, who fitted the new door, were both very nice and displayed the kind of attitude I had hoped for from the start. My rating reflects the fact that the right result was achieved in the end, although some trepidation as to whether the new door will fare any better than the original one.

Avoid at all costs
We have had 2 Solidor, wood composite doors fitted and both have warped. They agreed to replace one after a significant battle via our fitters however the other we are still in dispute. Please void

Solidor lock was jamming and we…
The Solidor lock was jamming and we were unable to unlock the door. I contacted Solidor regarding this, Rhea was extremely helpful. She asked me to email her with my details and some photos. Within a couple of days she called me back and had arranged for a member of the service team (Ash) to come out and fix it for us. Ash rang me to let me know he was 45 minutes away. Ash was able to determine the fault immediately and replaced the faulty locking mechanism and offered us advice on what product to use to keep the moving parts lubricated in the future.
Both Rhea and Ash were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The problem was solved quickly and efficiently. Thank you very much

A front door for a flat
I’ve written & sent a review already & am afraid I’ve now lost the details of who I dealt with. But I can say that I was greatly impressed with everybody I dealt with, from my initial meeting with the representative in my local store who was so knowledgeable & spent time explaining what would be the best front door for my flat, to the Technical Surveyor & then the fitters. They were so professional in their work & attitude & spent a lot of time explaining how the keys/locks worked. Would highly recommend the company.

Steer clear of this half arsed outfit
Awful company to deal with, are not willing to rectify a drafty mis-aligned door because the have farmed out all of their installations to authorised companies.
Gemma who cut and pastes a reply to make it seem like they care, if she is even a real person.
Wish we had chosen Rockdoor as we chose them in our last house…. Steer clear of this company

As such, this would need to be addressed by the company you purchased from and hold a contract with.
While I completely understand your belief that this may be a manufacturing fault, the signs strongly suggest otherwise. That said, we’re more than happy to help facilitate a resolution. The service team engineer Ashley was prompt and enthusiastic. He was helpful, polite and fitted the replacement glass parts quickly and thoroughly. He also inspected the door and made some adjustments which I was happy with. I’m very pleased with the service thanks.
