Booked Villa Damaskina, Gennadi, Rhodes through Solmar Villas, for September 2025, Great communication after booking, prior to arrival from Solmar and Liza the manager of the villa, who confirmed via WhatsApp key collection, gates etc... Fantastic villa, exactly to the pictures, local village 10 minute walk, which had a supermarket, bakery and great tavernas, restaurants. We booked Solmar taxi transfer which was excellent both ways, we hired a car from a local provider, prior to arriving, which arrived as we did, which worked out great. We were looked after for pool, maintenance and cleaning by Rocco and his wife Lillie-Anna, super couple, very friendly. This villa gives a great base for exploring, has everything you need, very comfortable beds, very clean, space to chill outside in the evening, eat alfresco. Great villa, great stay, thank you

Villa marcelo moraira, excellent villa and pool, great sea views and outside space. BBQ area amazing. Villa was clean on arrival, no ants! Bedrooms spacious and great storage space. Pool man and gardener were not an issue, friendly and did the job quickly. Outside shower a bonus as shower in double bedroom not very spacious! Overall a very enjoyable stay. No issues with company, good communication before hand, no need to contact during stay

After a previous poor stay booked through Solmar I was reluctant to give them another go. I left it 2 years and booked Villa Adaris as a group of 8. Right from opening the front door I knew I had made the right decision. The Villa was beautifully clean, smelt good and the rooms were clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for us all. Beach towels and a sea view were very welcome. There was everything provided that we needed, except for a pair of scissors in the kitchen, but that was a minor thing. I did have to phone Solmar one morning as the kettle stopped working. They were excellent and a chap turned up with a new one. Out of the 8 of us not one had any complaints whatsoever. We had a brilliant holiday made all the better by the beautiful villa.

We stayed in a Solmar villa 3 times now, and each time it has been great. The website search function can be a bit clunky but it gets the job done.
I like that they sort out extras you might need, car hire in previous years and a cot and high chair this year.
This year we had an issue with hot water to the villa, all it took to resolve was a quick phone call. By lunch time the next day it was repaired.
Vilas have always been high quality and clean. With nice features. The pool area we had this year was in a beautifully landscaped garden area.

The villa needs some renovation. Mattresses need changing some had blood stains on them. Reasonable clean and a nice villa in a good location just a bit tired.

We were a family of 5 staying for 2 weeks at Freedom villa. This is a large 4 bed spacious exceptionally well maintained villa in a very quiet location. We've visited the area on many occasions and stayed in different properties each time so feel experienced enough to give our honest viewpoint.
The villa has an amazing view of the argaka, yialia, latchi and akamas coastline with countryside all around. It is very peaceful with just one other villa at a short distance in front but not overlooked or noise intruded in any way. There's a lovely pool area with plenty of shade and seating areas and a barbecue at the side which we put to use a couple of times. The surrounding gardens are pretty and well maintained, watch out for a couple of rather spikey shrubs at the back of the villa if you have little children though. A nice touch is the new hot tub (at an extra cost), but great for a relaxing hour or two with a glass of something!
Inside is a large lounge area with a very comfortable leather sofa and tv (hardly used) with some books and games for entertainment. A very well equipped kitchen with plentiful crockery and utensils and a great size fridge. We did have a bit of a kitchen ant infestation which we've experienced in villas before, but discovered their entry point, blocked it up and that seemed to sort them out!!
This is probably the only villa that we've stayed in that provided us with bathroom towels and also a large supply of pool towels, which was great as in my opinion you can never have enough towels.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are all very spacious large doubles with lots of wardrobe, drawer and hanger space, no complaints there. However the mattresses are quite hard, as are the pillows which was an issue for us, softer pillows really would be a huge improvement even if the mattresses might suit some guests.
The only other issue that we felt should be addressed is the access road to the villa, it is very much an off-road track, very bumpy and not suitable for hire cars that aren't 4x4's, we had 2 cars that were kia stonics and had to drive it very carefully.
The owners were friendly, visited us a couple of times enquiring as to whether we were happy or needed anything which was very kind but not intrusive at all.
During our holiday we visited the Kykkos Monastery (quite a drive), a donkey farm in kathikas (bit distressing to see these poor guys to be honest), hired some quads & buggies and went on our own Akamas adventure (great fun as always), visited Omoodos which is such a pretty little village and found the monastery there extremely interesting, made the usual trip to Paphos and The Arches in Polis (lovely little shop) for souvenirs and then did plenty of relaxing by the pool.
This is a great villa for peace and quiet that we would highly recommend but a bit of a drive (20 mins) if like us you dine out most evenings on holiday and want to get in to Polis or Latchi, but nevertheless very nice indeed.
We've not used Solmar before but we would have no hesitation in using them again. All communications with them were simple, prompt, friendly, plenty of info and they've been a great company to use for our first experience with them.

Stayed at the villa last week and had a fantastic holiday, 2 minutes walk to the beach, Pepe's Beach Bar, La Antigua and Mett hotel are all within minutes walk. The villa was immaculately clean and offered everything you could possibly need. Bart our host was super helpful and friendly and dropped by to help us manage the safe. Totally our mistake with instructions :( Will def stay here again. 5 stars isn't enough!

The villa was in a lovely rural location overlooking olive trees and mountains in the distance.
Beautiful pool and pool area perfect. Plenty sun beds and outdoor dining table with chairs in shaded area.
You DO need a car though, nearest shops and restaurants 10 minutes drive away, walking not really as option as it’s a steep dust track to the main road . Even taking rubbish to the bins involves taking the car.
Villa was well equipped, beds comfy, great bathrooms and place was spotless. We had adequate privacy from Villa next door.
Only problem was the air conditioning, it only seemed to come on sporadically, it was exceptionally hot while we were there and we couldn’t get the bedrooms cool enough during the evening or nighttime which made sleeping difficult.
So lose a star for that.

Easy to book on line. The villa suited all our requirements. The service whenever I needed to contact Solmar was excellent. Laura always came back within minutes via the WhatsApp chat.
Very helpful with general information and booking airport transfers.
The Villa was in a great location in Binibeca. Pool was a perfect size and the outside seating was great for our group.
Rooms were fine as we had a bedroom each, could be a be tight for adults sharing the twin rooms.
The kitchens were equipped adequately for our needs as we ate our each evening.
For info the main supermarket does deliveries. Just fill up your trolley and ask them on check out.
Enough restaurants in the resort for a week resorts either side aren’t too far away in a taxi.
Would stay here again.

Villa was absolutely perfect, with everything required for a brilliant holiday. Only a couple of criticisms we arrived at the villa to check in at 16.00 as specified to find the cleaners were still there so we had to sit outside for a further 45 mins before we could get settled. The gardeners also turned up mid holiday and started working on the garden?? and at one point started using some very noisy equipment whilst my 1 year old grandson was having his nap so we had to ask him to stop but it would have been very intrusive while we were all sitting round the pool and eating lunch even if my grandson hadn't been asleep.

Solmar villas as a company were great, communication was excellent from booking to whilst we were there and until we left.
Unfortunately we found Villa kiwi in Javea to be tired, the cleaning needed a lot more attention. I dropped something which rolled under the bed and when I fished it out it was covered in dust and hair, there was also an empty plastic wrapper under there too. Dust everywhere especially on top of bathroom tiles. Don’t know what she cleaned but not the villa, when we arrived at 4.10 pm she was still there and didn’t leave till well after 4.30. Not good when you want to relax after being up since 4 am.Bit cheeky to leave a cleaning kit as a welcome pack.
No comfortable outdoor seating, terrible rusty sunbeds.
Double bed was so uncomfortable that we slept in single beds in other room.
Bathroom fittings rusty
Shower took for ever to drain
Floors dirty
White towels were grubby, old looking and very small.
Missing tiles in pool.
Such a shame as we expected more from such a great company.

The villa was very basic.
The sofa’s were very low and hard (especially for disabled people). There was a bad storm and the mess round the villa was really bad. No one came to clean up. We had to personally purchase a pool net to clean the pool; retrieve parasols and pushchairs from the pool. The kitchen window leaked really bad during this storm. The kitchen was actually flooded to mid calf height.
Maids came in mid week to change towels. You couldn’t use the washing machine, due to where it was situated in a cupboard. You couldn’t load or use the drawer of the washer. There was no clothes line (or sort) to hang towels etc!
A stair gate & child gate was provided.
A burning smell came from the oven when in use.

Lovely new villa in Zurbaran villa Nerja, just a few issues, we could here what everyone was doing on the loo next door & activitives in the bedroom!! & they were having it large!
The apartment was spotless, credit to the cleaners, we were meant to have parking & this had been withdrawn with no notice, most evenings it took an hour to park!

We stayed at this villa during our holidays in Majorca and were very disappointed overall.
Outdated interior: The villa looked nothing like the photos online. The pictures must have been taken a long time ago, as the interior was old and quite worn out.
Plumbing issues: The showers were not clean, and the pipes were in terrible condition – everything got clogged constantly, which made daily use frustrating.
Poor bedding: The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and of very poor quality, which even caused back pain during our stay.
Electricity problems: The kitchen had an electrical failure. When we came back from a day out, all the food we had bought (around €100 worth of groceries) was spoiled. No compensation was offered for this loss, and even worse, we never managed to get the issue fixed. Each day we tried to contact them via WhatsApp, but every time we started from scratch with no real solution provided.
The only positives were the location – very close to Alcudia, a charming little town – and the overall calm and quiet surroundings.
Unfortunately, despite these few positives, the villa was far below expectations. It urgently needs maintenance, better customer service, and proper management before being rented out again.

We stayed at Villa Hazal near Hisaronu ' this Villa was very comfortable, well situated for a local restaurant and shop.

The villa is excellent for families, great space, massive garden, the barbecue area was good only missing a sink.
Swimming pool is great for kids, although the lights weren't working, I reported the issue. The maintenance men were there but the problem wasn't fix during my stay at the villa.
The cleaning wasn't very good special in the kitchen and living room, the day we arrived dust were visible in these areas.
We enjoyed very much the stay here, the place is very quiet.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Cielo. Our initial slight concerns about a villa so close to other properties were unfounded, as the clever design meant you really weren't overly aware of the neighbours. The house was very well appointed and presented, the terrace and pool are were perfectly presented, and being north facing we were able to find shade throughout the day. We are regular visitors to Kefalonia and this house has some of the best views so far. As an older couple our only very slight issue was the narrow, steep stairs. There is a metal handrail but it's not super sturdy so they were still a bit of a challenge for us. As usual the booking experience with the Solmar team was all excellent and we would recommend this villa to others.
