Absolute scam. I did the work, SoundBetter kept 100% of the money. I’m now out my time. Their customer service is slow and nonexistent. No sense of urgency to make it right with me. Endless emails with no action. Complete SCAM!

SoundBetter really needs to be updated and brought into the current era. It's very clumsy to communicate on the platform and job requests come through so very seldom, it makes it feel like the business doesn't really care about their customers. The option to upgrade is always a dead end, so I don't really see the purpose of the platform. It's sad because the idea is excellent, just needs strong execution.

I have not been paid from Soundbetter for 2 jobs that I completed. I have sent emails and they said it was a problem with my paypal account. I have received payments before no problem. I have since opened up a new account with paypal and when I tried to enter the new information on my Soundbetter account it comes up with error 500. After sending emails I did get an answer with suggestions on how to fix it but the problem is on their side. I feel like I'm getting the run around and disappointed with this company. I suggest not do business with this company and pass the word to anyone that is looking to offer their creative services.

I’m a seasoned professional drummer in Nashville. I’ve been on thousands of recordings yet can’t even “pay” to be a premium member so I can bid on projects so not thrilled about that.

The service works well other than not getting enough work through this. I’d prefer to deal with only SoundBetter but will still do fiverr etc until it’s worth it.

Soundbetter is a truly great way to make music. As a service provider it puts me in touch with artists, musicians and producers in a way that simply wouldn't be possible without it. Its ordering system is risk free, which is a great selling point for working remotely, and payments come through as soon as work is completed to the client's satisfaction. Commission is set at a reasonable rate, and for the peace of mind it's worth every penny.

SoundBetter has been a great platform for people in the music industry to connect and collaborate. Platform fees are transparent (though always an opportunity to be even better) and I have had jobs come my way through the platform all around the world.

The tags we use for people to find us don’t properly work. I’ve done my own testing to search “Sounds like” , and none of the artists that display have that in their tags, yet myself with that tag appears at a bottom of a list. Also the ratings don’t really bump you to the top of searches. Some people have very minimal ratings and yet they’re above others with much more. Soundbetter should improve their search engine so users can find the right people for the job they need done. Also for a year I haven’t been appearing on searches for the job titles I placed myself under. After editing and re ordering my titles, I appeared on searches.
