The team at southern timber are fantastic. I have used them for years now and there knowledge of materials, friendlyness and prices are fantastic i would always recommend them to any one.

As the owner of Salcombe Interiors, we very regularly use Southern Timber within our projects. We buy a lot of Millboard Decking, timber, and last week had a large quantity of external Porcelain slabs for the outside of a house we have just refurbed. Yaz, sales manager is always very helpful and friendly. We get very competitive prices and the delivery service is prompt and reliable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Ordered timber from them to be delivered.
They delivered a 3.6m 18mm thick plank with a gaping shake right down the middle of the length. It was completely unusable. Contacted them and sent photos and was offered a derogatory 50% discount. When I pointed out I was entitled to a full refund their rep became churlish and petulant.
Awful company, completely unprofessional.

Good showroom and found Dan very knowledgable and helpful when we went in looking for engineered wood and wood effect flooring.

Phoned ahead to check stock of item required. I asked the salesman for a part number as it was hard for him to find on his system. Turned up and the chap on the warehouse desk greeted me with "how can I help you"? It went down hill from there. I was treated will contempt and mocked for my stupidity for daring to turn up with a part number and expecting them to know where the item was located. In the end my wife found it in their warehouse. Totally incompetent and rude, amazing how one man can spoil an overall good company.

Very disappointed.
Gave me totally wrong information and I drove 140 miles (at great expense) to only find out that they had no display there of decking.
And no apology and no call back from Dan.
The place looks very disorganised, so be aware.

Good service and no issues with amended quotes, I would have given 5 stars but no Crane for the delivery which when mentioned when i ordered by sales would have saved me 3 days or agony if i had known they would send a flatbed instead.
