SCAM WEBSITE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I signed up for the South London Club Card when I moved into the area and all seemed fine at first. However, I moved out of the area years ago and despite multiple requests to cancel my subscription they continue to take money from my account for membership every year. I have tried the contact form on their site, social media, emails to Support and Thomas with no response across any platform. I cannot seem to cancel the payment and this company is taking money for nothing and will not stop. Please avoid them at all cost! They are complete scammers.

There is no way to cancel your membership. The debit card I used to sign up expired years ago but they are still taking my money every year.. somehow.

I cannot remove my card from their system. They were also sending their annual discount cards to my old address when I asked them to change the address, (This was a few years ago now so no idea if they are still sending them!)

Have emailed them 3 times in the past to cancel and nothing, just being charged again later on that year.

Went through my bank who refunded me. Avoid at all cost! Its such a shame the idea was nice at the beginning. Update your system!!

Avoid buying from these people.

Ordered a Straight Out of East Dulwich mug in early December. Messaged them several times, through the website, and through Facebook messages. No reply. No delivery. They've taken my money. Disgusting. Will never purchase from these con artists again.

Avoid. Definitely avoid.

Just like others have said, Avoid.

After not hearing from them for years (no email, no cards received), I realised that they had still been taking money for me.

As payments are not collected by direct debit or standing order you seemingly can’t just stop these via your bank. And any emails to them to ask them to cancel your subscriptions just go ignored.

Keep going to your local shops, just don’t bother with these scammers.

Absolute thieves

Absolute thieves, took my money then went into complete silence, ignoring all my emails. Do not buy from this scam site! I bought a simple A4 print of Blythe Hill Fields for almost £30 inc. P&P, steep price, especially when they don't send the items, money for nothing!

A con

I wouldn't advise signing up for this. No where seems to acknowledge the card and like the person said below, they claim discount in places when there isn't one.

I've tried cancelling my membership and they keep trying to take my money for another year. I've contacted them several times and they're ignoring me. It's a con.

Since posting the review below

Since posting the review below, I've finally heard back from South London Club and they have finally refunded one x £15.00 - only 2 months after I contacted them, but as the saying goes, better late than never. So wanted to update the rating from a 1 to a 3 to reflect this change.

Advertising discounts that don't exist to drive website traffic

I joined The SLC in July 2023 because they advertised a discount with The Avenue Cookery School in Wandsworth.

After I signed up and paid my membership fee, I contacted The Avenue to use the South London Club discount. The Avenue told me that they had discontinued the discount with SLC over 18 months ago. They had asked SLC to stop promoting the discount multiple times, but SLC continues to promote the discount that doesn't exist to keep driving traffic to their website, and take people's money under false pretences.

I have contacted their support team on 3 separate occasions to ask for a refund due to the discounts not existing, and I am being completely ignored. I have requested a chargeback from my bank now and will be getting the money back that way.
