Do not recommend, never again

I bought a pair of boots on a website owned by Spartoo (JBMartin) and where the customer service is handled by Spartoo. For the past 4 days I have been trying to register a return request, but the button on the website for that action does not do anything, it just stays on the same page. I tried it on laptop, on tablet and on my phone, using the Classic and the Mobile interface: I can fill in the return reason and choice of action (refund, new size etc) - but everytime the final action button does not do anything. It is difficult to not come to the conclusion that the company actively tries to discourage returns. I called the French customer service in the weekend, but they were not able to help foreign customers. I called the international customer service today (they are not open in the weekend) who run into the same IT-problem (return button does not work) and said they will register my return request later in the day and I should check for their message later - it is 10 pm now and there was no message, and the IT-problem persists (after 4 days that I am aware of it, but perhaps longer). Extremely frustrating experience. I will not buy here again.

Subject: Deceptive Product, Lost Parcel, Zero Support – Spartoo Is Failing on Every Level

I ordered a Fred Perry Barrel Bag from Spartoo to Ukraine. The reason I chose to order from their store was specifically because the material shown in their product photos matched exactly what I was looking for. This particular bag is manufactured in two different materials, and one of them I absolutely did not want — so the material shown in the listing was critical for my purchase decision.

After placing the order, I never received a single confirmation message or payment receipt. Why? Because Spartoo incorrectly registered my email address. Resolving this issue was a nightmare. They never replied to any of my emails, and the only option I had was using their absolutely terrible so-called “chat” on the website, which is slow, inconvenient, and nearly unusable.

Then, I waited for a long time — only to find out the parcel had been officially declared lost. But according to the delivery company Bpost, the item was never even handed over to them for shipment. I eventually got my money back, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the end.

I made the mistake of giving Spartoo a second chance — which I now deeply regret. I placed the same order again (Order #1050039--098556548), and this time the bag arrived — but made from the WRONG material, not the one shown in the product photos. This is clear false advertising, and I have attached photo evidence to prove it.

Naturally, I requested a return and refund, explaining clearly that the product did not match what was advertised. What did I receive in response? A confirmation that my return was accepted — but with the reason listed as “wrong size”! This is an outright lie.

Even worse — their website and order messages clearly state that returns within 30 days are free, but suddenly they told me to pay for return shipping myself. As a result, I have not yet returned the item, because I absolutely refuse to pay for a return that was caused entirely by their mistake.

Let’s summarize:

Incompetent customer service — no replies to emails, chat system is a joke
Lost parcel — first order mysteriously disappeared
Deceptive product listing — second order came in completely wrong material
Incorrect return reason — fabricated by Spartoo
False promise of free returns — now they want me to pay
No compensation, no apology, no solution
Spartoo, you have failed at every possible step. Your business practices are misleading, your support is non-existent, and your behavior toward customers is disgraceful. I will now share my experience publicly and persistently — across every review platform and complaint channel I can find — until people know that they risk being blatantly scammed by your company.

You will lose customers over this. I will make sure of it.

Great experience buying from…

Great experience buying from spartoo.eu. Delivery took 3 weeks to Serbia, but it was worth waiting because sandals are superb :) I bought Teva Midform sandals in my regular size, even though they recommended going a size up for this model. Maybe I should have listen to them and that way I would have more room in front of my toes, but they are fine like this too. Would definitely recommend and probably will order again :)

Best online shopping experience ever!

There are recommendations which shize of shoes you should pick in relation to your usual size. Which is ver helpful. I bought three pairs but sadly one was a bit too narrow and one was tiny bit too big, just enough that I couldn't make it work. The third one is perfect. So, I returned the other two. It is simple and quick and you get your money back fast. Also, returns are free, even of shipping!
They seem to sell quality brands. I will definitely be returning
