Missing Swim Spa and my Money

On organising pick up of my fully paid for Swim Spa I was informed it had 'disappeared' along with nearly $26 000 of my money. Now conveniently they are not corresponding with me in relation to paying my refund. Have lodged with the ACCC, got legal representation and talking to A Current Affair. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Company went into liquidation this year and all the same people still run it!

Ordered and paid in full for a swim spa in Nov 2023, it is now Sept 2024, and we still don't have any products, when we ordered the spa we were told that it would be approx. 6 weeks for delivery, its now been 10 months!

In Feb they rang and said they couldn't get the spa, so we asked for a full refund and have had no contact since.

I received a phone call from the Managing Director John today stating that they went into liquidation this year, and they have no liability to provide me with the spa or a refund as they are now a different company.

These guys are a bunch of crooks, avoid at all costs

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY It is a shame that you cant give zero for a score as this company certainly deservse it. I purchased a Spa in Dec 2023, the spa just over 6 months old trips the circuit breaker. The spa is at a brand new house with it own electrical circuit, the circuit has been tested by an electrician with no fault found. I have lodged a warranty claim, where they have stated they will be send out a new pump, no testing just sending a new pump. still no new pump.
The spa is unsafe and unfit for purpose it was sold for.
You cant talk directly to anyone to rectify the problem ONLY by email that they refuse to respond too when asking for updates. I cant even get this fixed under warranty.
This company breaches all consumer rights in relation to consumer guarantees.
Australian consumer law clearly state
"When a business sells a product that later develops a major problem, it must give the consumer the choice of a refund, or replacement of the same type of product."
This company should not be allowed to operate in Australia.
Time for a complaint to ACCC, Fairing Trading QLD and a claim through the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

After Sales Service is a foreign concept

Spa was delivered today. We asked if someone would come to show us how to start up and how to use the chemicals.
"NO, we don't do that" "It's in the Terms and Conditions"

After sales service is an unknown concept with these guys. I just hope I don't have any warranty issues.

Do not buy from this company!

Do not buy from this company! Please buy your spa from a company who actually cares about their customers.

Our family all chipped in to buy my wife and I a spa pool as a wedding gift - pretty amazing gift, I know.

The spa was purchased from spas direct in September 2021, brand new.

The spa arrived damaged. It had a large Crack along the side of the outer shell. One of the speakers didn't work and one of the corner lights didn't work. The spa cover has also become waterlogged, only lasting less than 6 months (under a covered area).

Obviously the quality and care from spas direct is crap. To make matters worse, I have been emailing them for the better part of two years reminding them of the issues in hope that one day they might correct their shortcomings and repair the spa back to a new standard.

Until such day, I will do my best to warn potential future buyers of what they are in for should they ever have an issue with their spas direct spa. It is not worth it, go somewhere else where customer care actually means something.

Extreme reap off don't buy from this business

they just sold us used spa ; total rubbish damaged from all sides will demand money to be returned even if we have to take them to the court. Owner extremely rude he believes that there is nothing and no-one to stop him from poor performance

Yes I’ve seen all the negative reviews…

Yes I’ve seen all the negative reviews but honestly I’ve found @spasdirect very professional to deal with. We bought a Mountain Deluxe Spa 3 months ago and had an issue with the pump, put in a warranty claim and 3 weeks later brand new pump and controller pad. I’m in Tassie so really appreciate how quickly they processed our claim. Thank you Spa Direct absolutely recommend this company for anyone wanting a spa but not wanting to spend a fortune. End of day yeah you do get what you pay for but these guys have been great 👍

The Worst kind of business

If you value honesty and high quality customer service, avoid this company at all costs. As with the other review to date, my experience with this company is they take your money and then ignore you and your rights as consumer. It is highly disappointing that the ACCC allow this sort of behaviour to continue, as they have clearly been doing it for years. Do your research. Read the 1 star reviews - They are accurate. Check out the Facebook complaints page - search spadirectcomplaints

I have waiting over 17 weeks for my spa and no response for a refund

I have waiting over 17 weeks for my spa to be delivered, this is contravention of their terms and conditions which says a refund is available “:Spas Direct will offer a full refund if a supply issue arises and is unable to provide the ordered goods or substitute goods within 14 weeks from the date of order. This is deemed to be a reasonable time frame by Spas Direct.” I was asked to contact their accounts department so Ive sent multiple emails there without a response. I contacted the single number listed, an independent call centre. They advised me to try their complaints department. Multiple emails to this produced this response from gmail.”There was a temporary problem delivering your message to complaints. Gmail will retry for 46 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently.” Needless to say it failed permanently. I tried their website online chat box . I just got strange auto responses “ someone will ring you soon, have a nice day” to my queries re: a delivery date or refund. of course no one has. I went back online to find the chat box feature had disappeared. The amount of stress and heartache this dam spa has now cost cannot be fixed even if they were to deliver the spa and the refund. We are an older couple who saved and did without many things to buy the spa, so I can’t write it off as a bad joke
