Having snorkelled and dived when younger, I recently became interested in spearfishing and coastal foraging. I went to Startpoint with a “I need pretty much everything to get me going” approach.

Barcley, Joe and team spent a great deal of time taking me through everything with solid practical advice at every point and never treated me like the spearo-kook that I felt like. In particular, at no stage did they upsell or try to get me to spend more than I’d budgeted for. If anything, they would temper my new-found enthusiasm with “you probably don’t need that at this stage” and also offered a discounted package for what I did buy.

I enjoyed an amazing guided day with Joe, and am now passionate, if still pretty novice, about the sport. The inclusive approach has made me feel like I’ve joined a friendly club rather than become a new customer.

There is nowhere else I’ll be going when I do need to replace or upgrade my kit. Top recommendation.

Since being taken over, their customer service is appalling. I've shopped with SFS for a number of years and never had an issue under the old management.

I recently called up to ask or advise on a new suit and was chatting to the YouTube legend, Joe Pike (Joe PK). We chatted about the apnea suits and their own start point suit and why their suit was superior. His reasoning was that it was made by one greek bloke and it was a superior fit. He didn't ask me for my dimensions to know how it would be a superior fit. Am I tall and skinny, or am I short and stumpy? How does the start point suit fit to my body? How does it being made by one greek bloke make it superior?

I then found out the Start Point suits are made from Sheico neoprene, which seems like a very basic and cheap neoprene and used in most basic budget suits. Why would I spend premium money for a budget suit?

Spoke to multiple people on different days about different gear and they were all very helpful. Ordered with no problems at all. Had to return wrong sized flippers but again, very straight forward with good comunication from the company. All in all a pleasure.

I went through hell when I ordered through Scuba Store/Dive Inn/ Trade in.....whatever they call themselves. They are a scam which should be avoided at all costs! My friend recommended Spearfishing Store and I could not be happier with the service. I spoke to Anthony and he kindly and patiently talked me through all the kit I would need to get me started. They are extremely well informed and have great stock and prices on there site. They were so friendly and so easy to get hold of, my order came the next day. I could not recommend Spearfishing Store UK enough! And please so you don't make the same mistake I made, please avoid Scuba Store at all costs, just trust me on this one!

i had some compatability questions with regard to new spears, my email was answered within a minute, (wow!!) my order was dispatched fast enough for me to back in the water by the weekend, you can't ask for more than that!! ace shop, defo use them again and again

Having recently started out spearfishing i needed pretty much the whole kit. I bought all of it over a few months from
Spearfishingstore.co.uk as the service and advice i recieved was better than any i have had before or since from a store or shopping online. As i live a fair distance from the store all of my orders were online however the help i recieved regarding sizing was outstanding and accurate each time with the option of a return if not.

I ordered a pole spear and received it exactly one day after ordering, good quality, good packing, price was a bit high. however staff were very helpful and friendly on the phone.. overall i will defo shop again with spearfishing.com.
