The Turbo Vado 3.0 EVO is a terrific bike. While I like to dial in new bikes myself over several rides, it would have been helpful if the local delivery dealer who built the bike offered to set up ba... See more

I'd stay well clear
Oh dear. I've just read others reviews and now understand. The charger on my £4999 Specialized e hybrid gravel bike stopped working after only 15 charges. Of course it is 5 months out of warranty, so basically a case of "sorry, tough luck". Offered me an 'assisted purchase' of a new one, which suggests they actually take some responsibility, so why not replace?! Has to be said, the dealer (independent) was very helpful.
I'd avoid at all costs, particularly if you are spending a chunk of money on a bicycle.
The absolute worst company in the industry
I have several of the big brands bikes and was a loyal Specialized customer in recent years .
Among all the bikes manufacturers, Specialized ranks at the very bottom .
Their customer support as is evident from Google reviews and / or online bike forums is the absolute worst.
Their carbon frames break and crack due to manufacturing defects and practices more than any other brand on the market and unlike most other bike manufacturers , they
DO NOT HONOR THEIR so called
"LIFETIME WARRANTY"
Lust look them up on the better business bureau , look at their " F" rating and the amount of complaints submitted vs the amount resolved.
Here is the BBB definition for " F" rating :
" F rating is the BBB LOWEST GRADE"
Typically business with F rating have unanswered and/or unresolved complaints that reflects failure by the business to deal with the causes of customers problems "
Look at other bike manufacturers rating on the BBB website , no one comes even close to an F rating.
Look on YouTube for videos showing DIY carbon bikes frame repair videos , the vast majority feature broken Specialized frames.
Do yourself and your pocket a favor and go with any other brand.
Specialized is the absolute worst!!!
Don't buy the bar tape
Don't buy the bar tape. Only fits about half the bar on both sides. What a rip off.

Very shoddy service ....had a part fitted to my bike, I don't know how they managed it but it was fitted the wrong way round
When I enquired about getting it rectified they where no bothered so I got a refund and took it to evans who did do a great job I wouldn't let them service my bike pump
Poor customer service - frame warranty
In line with many reviews here, bad customer service. Once you have a problem (in my case a paint issue on my Specialized Roubaix frame), they will turn their back on you, and not honor their commitment to 'rider satisfaction' or their life-time frame warranty. I would not buy again from Specialized. And I am not trying to sound like a bitter and disappointed customer of a 5000 CHF bike but a source of objective information for potential future buyers of a race bike. From my experience, Trek offers much better customer service and Canyon is much better value.
Great service
Great service! I cracked a frame on a flight to an endurance race. Specialized had me set up with a brand new frame the same day and racing the next!
Awful quality, warranty and customer service
Bought a Specialized Turbo Vado SL. The battery failed after just 6 months of use, it has been almost a month since I left it for warranty. Every time I call they just say they are behind schedule and running tests.
Unbelievable that for the price tag of their bikes they fail within just few months and their service is TERRIBLE.
No customer service
Awesome bike nice to ride.
But they don’t care about their customers. No customer service to reach out to. No email no nothing. If you buy a 6500€ bike you assume they would care about you…
Ordered some spare parts for my bike and it took them over a week to reply on the form i made on their website. When you live in a country with 3-4 months of riding season it really sucks when you have to wait weeks to get in contact with anyone and then wait weeks for the parts. The season is to short and there are other brands that can give you better support and faster response time. Avoid if you can. They just take your money and run.
Non existent customer care
An order for shoes was placed on 23 June 2024. Specialized UK sent me another customers shoes. They were sent back the next day. They arrived at their returns centre but I have heard nothing from Specialized and their customer care service team are not answering calls.
POOR QUALITY AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I’m not sure if there’s any point writing a review for a company with this much poor feedback?! I bought my 14 yrs old a status 160 NOT CHEAP it’s broken after 9 months . Guess what they said ? Revert to your owners manual !!! Warranty what warranty it’s not worth the paper it’s written on . The bikes not even fully paid for and it’s broken with these guys washing there hands of it !!! SHAME ON YOU . Please don’t reply saying get in touch and we will help because I’ve done that and you was as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Poor quality!!
Very mich specialized
Went for a bike fit, 3 people recognised me, great feeling. Ben did my bike fit and when riding home instant pain relief. Asked when bike could be serviced and new handle bars and tape fitted, instant attention and accommadating with date and time to suite me.
Bike mechanic recognised me from covid days and came out to say hello, feel special for sure.
Cannot speak too highly of this very specialized bike shop.
Ordered but never received anything
Ordered some shoes online with a pair of cycling gloves, got a tracking number quite fast but the tracking wasn't working on Canada Post and never worked, I was checking on tracking every day for a while, until I gave up trying.
Seen on their website that they had shipping delays but not really any info about it, if you clicked on the notice of shipping delays you would end up on a non-existing page error 404.
I was thinking maybe at some point the order will show up here, but it never did, if I'd miss the delivery I would have gotten a card to pick up my package. Then randomly I got a email saying I got a refund on Klarna, I had paid the whole amount, they refunded my order but not the taxes paid. On Klarna it says "your return has been accepted" but I never got the order, the tracking never worked, I guess they just canceled my order after one month.
So yeah based on that experience I will not try again to place an order there, there's no chance.

The BEST in the business—at having the WORST customer service and post sales support in the industry.
Sadly, it’s nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone. Text/SMS hides everyone names and allows them to provide you support with zero accountability and have no empathy at all for your concerns/issues.
Numerous issues of overcharging or simply canceling orders with no communication. Fair warning for anyone out there not already invested in this brand to STAY AWAY and give your money to another biking company that actually cares about biking and not the bottom line.

Specialized Haul LT Support Suck
Specialized Haul LT Support Suck - Bike was damage on arrival and no support
Order # US-0100107174
Order # US-0100107174 -- Bike come out of box damage (paint handle bars and fenders), rear wheel rubbed on the brake pads, and my gears did not right. I open support ticket the first day I got the bike on Jan 14, 2024. It's 14 days later and no support from specialized regard damages, bad parts, brakes or gears.
I was accepting better result with Specialized...Consider I own low level cargo bike from Lectrice company and their support is so much better and Superior to this high end bike company Specialized !
I am disappointed that I spend $5,050 on this ebike and cargo accessories and I cannot use my bike after 14 day from deliver and I am still waiting for "email" from specialized
What a joke.
Their customer service is inefficient…
Their customer service is inefficient and blames the customer. I ordered a bike online, I should have been contacted by the delivery company to set a pick up date and time, thing that never happened, plus specialized did not give any information to the delivery company to contact me. Their customer service is rude and passive aggressive, very unprofessional. Stay away
Appalling after sales service
Appalling after sales service
My Creo 1 stopped working.Dealership could not find the problem. They received no support from customer services, phone is switched off for a week as they were too busy! No response to emails. After 10 weeks the Specialized, techie turned up and fix the problem in half an hour.
The problem for me was I have to ride 100 miles a week for medical reasons.I cannot do any other exercise due to an injury. So I bought a Creo2!4 days later the Creo 1 was fixed. Specialized will not take the bike back even though I would accept a £2kand it has only done 75 miles
If there service was up to scratch I would have saved£7500.00
I have only bought Specilized in the past(3bikes)Never again .Do not deal with this outfit.
Avoid - no after sales support at all
So over the years spent way over 30K on Specialized bikes.
Moved to a Levo Turbo costing £10K.
Chain broke on second ride (Tredz replaced for free - expected - why do they always put a £20 chain on a bike costing 000’s)
After 12 months decided to take care of the battery better as always charged to 100%. Set charging to 80% and it fused the charger when the bike instructed it to stop charging.
Purchased a new charger a week ago and it works fine.
One month since my initial warranty claim via Tredz (who are helpful but seem to have similar issues as we do). Specialized now want me to send the bike to a specialized retailer for at least two weeks as we hit the riding season.
You cannot contact anyone at Specialized directly (incl. the telephone number that has a message saying they are too busy (recruit more staff - we are paying thousands for the bikes)
Overall it’s a great bike but with no support it will be the last one I buy from them. Complete joke.
Local bike Bike not workingshop replaced battery on…
Local bike shop replaced battery on Levo SL on technical advice from Specialized. It took them 2 weeks to send this diagnosis. Bike still isn’t working (despite paying £400 for new battery) Bike shop has to contact Specialized again. There is no way you can contact the Technical Dept on the website. Appalling service!
