Control unit battery replacement - great service in Nottingham

The battery on the cross bar controller expired while I was away for several weeks. I looked at some videos about how to replace it but they seemed a little tricky. I had a spare battery (Boyes store in Arnold, Notts had loads for £1 each) so took the bike into the concept store in Nottingham for a bit of advice. The guys were really friendly and changed the battery f.o.c. which was fantastic. They also gave me tips on how to do it myself in the future if I wanted to.

Great service, thoroughly recommend them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I ordered a turbo-Vado online on 24th March to use on a biking holiday in April. Once I’d ordered the bike I didn’t hear a single thing from the company- no updates via email or phone, just silence. I chased and eventually said I’d cancel the order if they couldn’t fulfil it. I was then told the bike was coming from the Durham store but that they had no packing boxes left so there would be a further delay. Finally someone from the Durham store rang and said they would drive my bike down to me in Northamptonshire three weeks after the bike should have arrived.
But sadly the problems didn’t end there. The manual given to me with my bike related to a different bike so I couldn’t register my bike on the app and couldn’t therefore use its full functionality on my holiday I’m now back from my holiday and have been trying to register my bike, only to find that it is registered to someone else. I am now worried that either I’ve been sold a second-hand bike without being told that it was second hand. This has been a dreadful experience and I wish I hadn’t spent several thousand pounds buying the bike!

Great Knowledge & Service

Thanks to The Manager Dave for sorting…

Thanks to The Manager Dave for sorting out an issue with the tyres and rear wheel on my newly Purchased creo 2 E bike. The issue was sorted Efficiently and quickly. Would definitely recommend anyone wishing to purchase a new bike. Thanks to all the staff. Ken.

Outstanding service from Ali in Leicester…

Outstanding service from Ali at the Leicester Store. Helped me choose the right bike (looking at both secondhand and new options) and he then assisted with sizing so that I could measure the new bike up against the old one in order to keep it a surprise for my husband. He then arranged 36months 0% finance and had the bike boxed and delivered in record time. I would not hesitate to buy from this store again… and I live in Cornwall so this was all done by phone and email!

Just blown away by the service at…

Just blown away by the service at Nottingham, bike fixed at great expense under warranty no quibble and in a few days.
Well informed staff clearly passionate about bikes, all shops should be like this!

Terrible service from Bristol.

I ordered my bike from the Nottingham Concept store last year and couldn't fault the service.
However, I ordered some handle bars and stem from the Bristol concept store and it too two weeks and many, many chasing emails for the items to even be dispatched - despite the order confirmation stating delivery in 1-3 working days. The tone of the emails were so nonchalant they verged on rude. Avoid purchasing anything from the Bristol store if possible.

Specialized concept store Nottingham

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this shop deserves a warning to others.
After showing genuine interest in making a purchase — including placing just one cancelled order in four years — I received an email from the owner that was rude, dismissive, and frankly shocking in tone.
I was accused of being a time-waster for making enquiries and changing my mind once — on an in-stock sale item that I cancelled almost immediately. No money lost, no bike assembled, no effort expended on their part. Yet I was treated as a nuisance.
Most of my enquiries over the years never progressed simply because they didn’t have stock. That’s not indecision — that’s bad inventory planning.
Customer service here is practically non-existent. On the rare occasions someone bothered to speak, the shop was empty, and I still felt like an inconvenience for browsing. Now I understand why: there’s an undercurrent of arrogance and resentment toward anyone who doesn’t instantly buy whatever’s on the floor.
Given the dismissive attitude I received before even buying a bike, I can only imagine how painful it would be to deal with this shop over a warranty issue — especially with a product many already consider overpriced and unreliable.
Their email did me a favour. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere, and I suggest others do the same.

I was looking for an electric gravel…

I was looking for an electric gravel bike but everywhere I went didn't have any on display so it was very difficult to made any comparisons on bikes. I visited the Nottingham branch where I was looked after by Jack whom was very knowledgeable on bikes and gave me the confidence to consider the Creo2. They didn't have one in store but found one within the group and ordered it for me. Jack kept in touch to update me on when it would arrive and when it was built to take it outside for a 'test' ride. I was not only impressed with the bike but the service I received from Jack and the other members of staff whilst I was there. Subsequently I have bought the bike, taken it on its first ride and love it. I can only say what an excellent customer experience I have had from this store and would highly recommend Jack and the team. Thank you Della

Yet another exemplary experience experience …

Yet another exemplary experience with Nottm Specialized store. New Rovel integrated bars fitted SL6 S-Works Tarmac has totally transformed much loved machine. Workmanship outstanding and attention to detail amazing. Must mention all store staff, Wayne, Adam, Andy,Dan, Jack and Phil. Everyone so professional and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough.

E bike purchase

Walked in knowing very little about e-bikes as I’m a road and track rider, Jack took a load of time to find out exactly what I needed before we even looked at anything, didn’t try to sell me the most expensive bike in the shop, took me to the bikes which suited my age/needs, all the other members of staff where just as helpful and knowledgeable, looking forward to returning in the near future.

Excellent and personal customer service

This is a review of the Harrogate Store, I haven't been to any of the others.
t the risk of sounding like an advert, I cannot recommend the Harrogate Specialized store highly enough. The staff there genuinely seem to want to help you choose the perfect bike for you (and not just the most expensive one they think you might buy). Today, I went in with a little follow up issue (of my own making) and they sorted it out in about five minutes and didn't make me feel like a fool for not being able to sort it myself (which they would have been within their rights to do!).

Excellent customer service and support

Excellent customer service and support throughout the full purchase experience of my new gravel e-bike. Many thanks to Henry and the team and I would definitely recommend anyone to buy a buy a bike from the Chester store.
Also the Bike Factory next door is equally excellent in terms of bike choice and customer service.

Only one company had what I wanted in…

Only one company had what I wanted in stock so was stuck using them again. Took the money - email next day saying item not in stock. Asked for a refund - still not paid a week later....

Its was the worst service I have ever received

Its was the worst service I have ever received in my whole life at specilzed concept Norwich, rang store to book creo 2 not even a year old told them it kept coming up with a motor error, first all was going to take about 6 weeks to get it in awful , managed to get me in earlier, took the bike in 5 people all standing around the till doing nothing , when they did bother to speak to me the first thing he said is you have to pay £30 for us to look at it I said why handling charge, joke , left the bike got a call a few hrs later to say it was done great I thought they said it just needed a firm wear up date , picked it up when out on the Saturday worked fine , sunday started happening agian cutting out and not restarting,
Rang up on the Monday to tell them not working so booked it in for the Friday I couldn’t make it so a friend took bike in when he got there they said another £30 or we don’t look at it so my friend said he won’t pay another £30 as you haven’t fixed from last time , so the guy said we won’t look at it then , my friend said it’s not working they said you didn’t get the bike from us you got it from Tredz and started shouting are you not listening, And walked off in a mood ,
I agreed to pay the £30 and claimed it back from Tredz which they did the same day ,
I was told by Tredz that any specilzed bike can be taking to any specilzed dealer and by law not be charged when bike is under warranty,
Tredz said don’t worry we will pick the bike up from Norwich and take it back to Tredz first class service as always

I would never step foot in that specilzed shop in Norwich ever again and nor will any off my mate awful service

Want to buy a turbo vado sl in small

Spoke with Ruislip store, wanted to buy a turbo vado sl 5 in small, unwilling to get the bike in for me to try from their sister store as it will cost them £50...........So, willing to spend £3,200, they're unwilling to spend £50......!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!
Will buy from Cannondale instead, if that is the level of customer care.

Excellent service

Took my MTB in for a seized
Seat post and the mechanic sorted it against the odds. Great service from a friendly team . Also went above and beyond when my road bike needed a new bottom bracket earlier in the year. Highly recommended⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️

Visited Harrogate to check out a Levo…

Visited Harrogate to check out a Levo SL and get some new kit. I was greeted with the standard "Are you okay..", I was.. and then the staff went back to busying themselves with whatever it was they were doing. I eventually found kit but noticed it wasn't particularly clear what was what and item's I've seen discounted online weren't in-store. They had one Levo SL but it wasn't exactly accessible. After about ten minutes I left.. I probably won't purchase Specialized now as they'd be my service centre and I wasn't impressed with this level of customer service.
