ski’s waxed and serviced at…

I had my ski’s waxed and serviced at sport 2000 val D’Isère . Afterwards I could not use them and felt like a beginner . They were terrible . The tried twice to fix and just made them worse ! The technician clearly does not have an idea . Afterwards I went to Intersport who lent me skis whilst the rectified the problem! Not much left of my new skis ! Do not use this destination .

La Plagne Villages Sport2000 was excellent

We hired skis for 8 people from Sport2000 in La Plagne Villages. They were super efficient and great value. Some of our party needed to swap equipment and this was done with ease. Two of the party were injured skiing and we were only charged for what we used. Highly recommend!

Scammers

I reserved skis and ski boots in advance for a week at Sport 2000 Chalet de Neiges. Due to circumstances, one person could not come. Two people brought their own ski boots, and one person left after four days. Everything was clearly communicated before the rental period started. Still, at the end we were charged for skis and ski boots for four people for a full week. Scammers…

Better go to Zenith Sport.

Worst store

First time I ever went into Sport2000 Prime and it will also be my last. I was looking at some Nike shoes and noticed a strange symbol I had never seen before. I own 5 pairs of original Nikes, including the same models, so of course I wanted to be sure they were real before buying.

I asked the woman working there if they were original. She was super quiet, almost annoyed, and said, “Yes, it’s real,” then added that I “must have a different model” which is why I don’t see that symbol. That was it, it is just a normal question that people ask, nothing extraordinary. I didn’t even call anyone else over — she herself went and brought some man over. He didn’t come to help, though. Instead, he was instantly aggressive, telling me, “If you think it’s fake, go out of the store.”

We were 8 people ready to spend around 400 euros, but instead we got kicked out for asking one simple, valid question. If staff get this defensive, it’s a huge red flag about what they’re selling. The man’s reaction basically confirmed my suspicion.

Rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Worst shopping experience I’ve had in years. They lost hundreds of euros in sales that day, and a lot more in future customers, i hope if you guys listen to me. Avoid this place at all costs.

Terrible old equipment rude staff

I hired a snowboard for the week in Val Thorens and paid for the superior equipment. The board I got was a good board 5 years ago but was now a bit worse for wear. The bindings were very poor and during the first day kept releasing which was proving dangerous on steep slopes. I went back that night and they swapped them. I was given a set what looked like they had been chewed by a pack of wolves. The leather was splitting and stitching fraying. I used these on the second day but they were loose on the board so delayed movement when turning. No amount of tightening solved it as they were just worn. So I went back a third time and actually got a new set. Something that should have happened on day one seeing that I paid for superior equipment. While I was there another person was also complaining about the same issue. Although they did swap the equipment the staff were very reluctant to do so, unhelpful and bordering on ignorant. I will never use this company again.

IT equipment is failing them

We had ordered our skis in advance and arrived at the shop at the opening time. However, in spite of asking, it took 50 minutes before we could leave. There were 2 principle reasons for this. First, there was only one person available to meet customers (a second person downstairs said he could not help as he hand to be present downstairs, which i understand). However, at a crunch time, this is not an appropriate set up in order to be able to provide appropriate customer service.

Second, the IT systems are out of date and so the young man sorting out the skis also had to manually input all details about the boots, skis, poles, helmets, which made the short staffing problem likely at least twice as bad. Compared to your competition which have invested in scanning equipment, this makes your service noticeably worse. By comparison, i had arrived in another shop a few weeks earlier (Sanglard in Chamonix) at opening time on and on a weekday, and in that case i was probably the 6th customer in the queue - however there were 3 people working and the IT was top notch: i had tried on boots, had skis adjusted, poles, helmet, and and back out the door, all in about 10 minutes.

The quality of your equipment was good, as were the (limited) people. It seems a shame that you have not yet invested in the technology that could dramatically improve the customer experience.

A good experience at Sport 2000 Mummery, Chamonix

We used Sport 2000 at Mummery, Chamonix. A well positioned location by the bus stop to most resorts - Brevent, Flegere, Les Houches, Aiguille du Midi. Arrived just as a Julian was shutting shop on a Tuesday evening but he delayed closure to help us, the only customers. Could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Recommended for service, quality of equipment and advice.

We have just returned from a family…

We have just returned from a family skiing holiday in Avoriaz. The guys at Sport 2000 where we hired all our skiing equipment were great. They were very helpful on the fitting, friendly and were able to answer all our questions. They even looked after our shoes on two occasions. I will hire from them next time we go and would highly recommend them to anybody else. They just made the hire thing very easy! Thanks!

Set your expectations low and you might be surprised

I quite like this company. You have to haggle and they aren't going to win any prizes for customer service, but I had fun with them.

Stuff the boring corporate "your business is important to us". You won't get that from sport 2000, so at least they aren't overtly hypocrytical.
