If I could leave less than 1 star I would, shocking customer service, either no response or the same response which I’m guessing is AI generated, basically stealing peoples hard earned money by not providing goods that’s have ordered or replacing them, so no goods and still have my money, with no resolution. I have checked on social media and it’s repetitive behaviour with 100’s of people facing the same experience, I will definitely boycott sports direct and there appallingly customer service team!
Relabelled Goods and Zero Accountability
Shopping with Sports Direct is a complete mess. Their stores are chaotic, and the online experience is even worse.
I ordered football boots in size 3.5 and received something entirely different. The box clearly showed size 11K (children’s), with a sticker slapped over it saying 3.5 like no one would notice. This isn’t a minor mistake, it feels deliberately misleading.
Customer service refunded me, but didn’t even want the item back. No real explanation, no accountability, just “keep it.” That doesn’t inspire confidence, it raises more concerns about how often this happens.
I should have paid attention to other reviews before ordering.

Almost a year ago, I purchased a bodywarmer from Sports Direct, but I never received it. The shop is unreliable and refuses to take responsibility, continuously blaming the courier.
After a long and frustrating exchange of emails, they finally agreed to issue a refund. However, to this day, I still haven’t received my money.
I have visited their store in Antwerp dozens of times trying to resolve this. Each time, staff contact their head office in England, and I am repeatedly given promises—but nothing ever happens.
This has been a complete waste of time and a very disappointing customer experience.

What terrible customer service. I was in your store today and went up to the first floor—there were three people at the tills chatting instead of serving customers. Meanwhile, one guy on the shop floor was trying to bring shoes for several customers by himself! Seriously, such a big store and only one person helping customers?
I got my shoes and went downstairs to pay—only one person at the till and a long queue. I asked if the upstairs till was open, and the cashier said yes, so I went back up. The guy upstairs told me it was closed. I went back downstairs and asked a girl with red hair, who was standing by the door looking at her phone instead of paying attention to customers, where the staff were because there was no one around.
She told me they were upstairs. I said that upstairs they told me the tills were closed, so where is the staff? The girl, clearly annoyed that she had to look up from her phone, started arguing with me, insisting that everyone was upstairs.
Seriously?! I’m not surprised that stores are closing and people are choosing to shop online— with this kind of service, I want nothing to do with it. That was my last visit to this store, and I will not recommend it to anyone. Stevenage brand

I worked tirelessly to promote their products through the affiliate link they provided. Yet, after nearly six months, they have refused to pay me the commissions they promised. I reached out to their support team multiple times, but never received a single response. This is pure deception. Disgraceful Service and Empty Promises from Sports Direct
Absolutely appalling experience with Sports Direct – a complete disaster from start to finish! I ordered shoes (Order SDNL50001001096021) on 16 May 2025 for €46.99, unaware that the shipment would come from the UK, as this was conveniently omitted from their website. When I realized I’d face long delivery times and customs fees, I immediately requested to cancel the order. What followed was an infuriating saga of incompetence and empty promises.
I contacted their helpdesk multiple times – 31 May, 2 June, 21 June, 4 July, and 24 July – each time being assured that my case was "escalated" and someone would contact me within 14 days. Spoiler alert: no one ever did. On 19 August 2025, I had another frustrating exchange with a rude consultant who demanded a screenshot of my banking app, which my bank (ING Netherlands) doesn’t allow for security reasons. I sent a payment statement instead, only for the consultant to dismiss it and hang up. I even double-checked with my bank, who confirmed they never blocked any refund – Sports Direct’s claim was simply a lie.
This company’s customer service is an absolute disgrace. They dodge accountability, make false promises, and treat customers with utter disrespect. I’ve been chasing my €46.99 refund for months with no resolution, despite providing all necessary proof. I’ve now escalated this to the European Consumer Centre because enough is enough. Avoid Sports Direct at all costs – they’re untrustworthy and unprofessional. One star is too generous!

Never got all sizes
Lost count of how many times I go into the store in my town and they don't have all the sizes you want. You then have to pay £5 to get the item in your size delivered to the store. At this point you are still unable to try it on to see if it fits.

Its a joke
Sorry to say that but order what I ordered (click and collect) didnt arrived at all there is no contact from Sportdirect.com why/when, just ignoring the live Chat etc...
The time for click and collect past on 12 November. Its a joke or are you treating customer not right to the standard which you need to improve much further...
I'm very disappointed as I used this store in the past.

I bought my son a pair of boots for his school clubs for about £70 online and they hurt my son’s foot so much that he was limping the rest of the day! But not only that but the boots looked nothing like the pictures and turned out looking horrible but my son didn’t care though as he’s not much of a fashionista as he just wants to get the job done but they hurt his feet so much that it nearly started bleeding! So when we tried to return them they said it’s not our fault and that they couldn’t return them! But after enough convincing they finally took them back but didn’t even get the money back but on top of that there was horrible customer service! Outrageous!

I'm would like to make big complain regarding Sport direct Web options and costumer service. That One and another is disgusting services.
All situation is starting from the issue, that Sport Direct send twice Ex-display football shoes!
The Sport direct web is just basic options if you like to find some information, but if you need to sorted out real situation you need to spend hours to find some similar information who can help you to sorted out your problem.
Second one you need to do a lot of different manipulation to connect to costumer service, first you come in to virtual assistant hands, than again u must be very carefully what you are clicking, because you can be send to the beginning! Then again after different manipulation ( thank you ) you are connect to the real costumer service assistant!
Now is start more interest conversation with live assistant, they find your order information, they said what they done all ready, but they don't listen you what you are trying to said and disconnecting your conversation!!! THAT IS UNBELEVEBLE!!! THAT IS DIGUSTING SERVICE EVER!!! I'm spend hours to connecting to the right person and then assistant disconnecting because they cant sorted out my question.

Should be on Rip Off Britian
I think a few people may have noted this - before i purchased a pair of trainers i checked the returns policy. The policy does not state anywhere that you have to pay £4.99 to return any item in any way. You cannot exchange in store. A very stupid policy for a business because, you'll only be ripped off once, and then never use it again. I think it should be illegal for them not to state the cost on the returns policy and will write to trading standards about this. I knew it was an immoral company and should have steered clear. More fool me. Now i have no trainers and paid £10 for the pleasure.

They still use 2 plastic bags I’m sure if they tried they could switch to paper bags and no plastic ones that’s why I’ve given a four star not Five. I’ve always had a perfect delivery next day I’ve never had an experience of returning a product.
