I ordered bulk ammo back in 2020 and they never honored the purchase. They kept delaying and delaying and eventually just canceled my orders. Terrible company. I had even purchased a membership to save and that turned out to be a huge waste of money.

Ever since BHG bought Sportsmans Guide it’s customer service has gone from good to horrible and they don’t mind lying to you. I used to by fire arms and ammo regularly but now you can no longer depend on what they sell to be as advertised. No longer can you speak to C/S only text and they could care less if issue is resolved. Bad Company, Beware.

I ordered a utility trailer on 4/23 and paid $20 extra for overnight shipping. I thought it unlikely that they could deliver a trailer that fast but shy would they include that option during checkout if they didn’t? So of course 2 days later, no trailer. I did get my $20 refunded and an estimated delivery date of 5/3. It is now 5/4 and still no trailer. So reach out again asking where’s my trailer and get a curt reply that it’s a freight order and to contact the freight company ‘to make arrangements’. I’ve been trying all morning and their number is always busy. I’ll NEVER order from SG ever again!

Got a glock 30 sf shipped so fast it got to the frl dealer in 2 days they responded so quick any questions and any concerns I had would definitely recommend #california

sportsmans guide is a very bogus company in my opinion. I ordered 9000 rounds of 223 in May of 2020 during the corona virus outbreak and was told that my order was on backorder which was understandable. Then, over the next year and a half I was told that my order would be processed soon. finally, after 18 months of waiting they sent me an email saying my order had been cancelled because they could not get it from the manufacture. During this time they continued to advertiser the same ammo at the "new price"! They offered me a $50.00 discount of my next order after waiting a year and a half.

Totally bogus company! I will never buy anything from them again!

Terrible company. Bait-and-switch common. The photos in the catalogs show one thing but they send another. I joined as "Buyer Club" member and it was a total waste of money. Almost every order was wrong ---- not what was shown in the catalog. Awful customer service. Many of the advertisements are complete B.S.

If this company has a mission statement, it's definitely based on the notion of GREED! poor customer service, very unethical sales techniques! There are many other companies that carry the same products for similar pricing!

Do not trust this company with your outdoor needs. They agreed to sell me ammo on their site for $309 and then proceeded to delay my order for 1 1/2 years due to the price of ammo going up. Finally after delaying my oder each month they outright cancelled my order. They even admitted in my BBB complaint that the price of ammo has increased and they are not willing to sell me that specific ammo or a similar ammo at the price they agreed upon. Shady company that is doing shady business. Beware!

I ordered .45 Auto ammo on 31 August 2020 and they cancelled it on 15 February 2022. They gave me a $25 dollar credit. A few weeks after I received a notification that the 9mm ammo I wanted has come in. I then checked and they had the .45 Auto ammo at a higher price. I purchased the 9mm ammo and 2 boxes of the .45 Auto ammo. Times are hard, so you accept getting screwed. However, I will never purchase anything from Sportsman's Guide again or recommen the company to anyone. They clearly are about their bottom line, making money, not taking care of the customer.

In my opinion this is one of the worst companies out there with which to do business. Have had multiple orders mysteriously canceled with no warning or communication from the company. Are items out of stock? Would be nice to know. Decisions appear to be arbitrary. Communication is non-existent. Shipping times for items that have come through are abysmal and extremely slow. Do not buy from this company. In my opinion, it doesn't deliver on what it promises. I'm done with them and you should be too.

I have had nothing but great experiences with SG. Sometimes the selections take a while to replenish, but overall I love the experience of buying firearms from them. I do wish they would hurry up and get the Sig P320 X-Five Legion back in stock - its been a long time.

Sleaziest Company out there. Placed an order a year and a half ago for something that was backordered for following month. Prices were going up so they kept delaying backorder repeatedly. Order finally came in a year and a half later and they asked me to update my credit card (it had been so long I replaced my card) so i went ahead and updated it as requested. A month later no word. Went online and found they canceled my order and sold it to someone else for more money. When I called and asked them to honor their order they refused and kept passing the buck by sending me from one person to the next over the course of an hour long phone call. I will never buy anything from this company and advise you to do the same.

Placed an order for ammo back in July 2020. Order was suppose to arrive in August of 2020. SMG just kept pushing the delivery date out. Guess they never had any intensions of fulfilling this order as it is now Feb 2022 and they just cancelled the order without notice. I've been maintaining my membership with these clowns so they would not have a reason to cancel the order. Complete waste of time and money. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Save yourself the headache!

I placed an order for ammo in August 2020. Delivery has been pushed back multiple times and each time I followed the steps provided to keep my order active. And then yesterday, February 14, 2022, they sent me a email stating they are canceling my order due to ammo shortage. Today, February 15th, I visited the site to find the ammo I ordered back in stock at higher price. I have called customer service and they refused to honor their commitment. I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and encouraging every one else to do the same and to boycott the company!!

Company was selling ammo I verified it said it was in stock when I ordered. A month passed and got a notification it was backordered. I continued to wait on the backorder as I was getting a good price. 2 years of waiting on the backorder they told be they cancelled it. I did not request this and want the item I ordered at the price I ordered it at. Horrible company, I will never recommend them to anyone and actively steer people clear.

Absolute garbage customer service and business practices. I ordered an item through them (as a 3rd party seller) on Amazon and it was lost in transit. I contacted them and they said they would issue a refund and I would see it in my account in 2-3 days. After 7 days I still had not received my refund so I contacted them again and they told me they had issued a refund and if I didnt receive it I would have to contact Amazon as it is no longer their problem. I called Amazon customer service and was told that there was no record of the sportmans guide ever issuing a refund for my order. I eventually had to file a claim with Amazon to get my money back.

I pre-ordered ammo in July of 2020. I ordered 3 different items to arrive at 3 different times to spread out the payments. They did not ship them out as initially promised. I was ok and waited. Then when the prices went up they started canceling my orders. They could sell it for more than my pre-order price. They reinstated my order once and told me I had to respond to emails to keep my orders. I would search my email to make sure I didn’t miss their email and they cancelled my orders again. No notice and have ignored my email to them. Do not sign up for their club membership or order from them. They will dump you if prices go up and they can make more off someone else.

In the last year, I've bought close to 10 guns from them and have been very please with every purchase. The shipping to my FFL holder is fast and never had an issue.

I also buy a lot of other items from them. Last week, I ordered a gun case to carry weapons to the range. When it came in, the box looked as though it traveled thru a war zone. Three of the six latches were broken on the case.

I called customer service (on a Sunday...which was nice) and within a few minutes, the lady said a replacement would be on the way soon and to leave the busted up one out front of the house and FedEx would be by to pick it up. I didn't even have to print out a shipping label or anything. It was a great customer service experience.

My only complaint is they use FedEx instead of UPS. UPS is so much better than FedEx in my opinion.

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews on this company.

The worst business in the country that happens to sell firearms is sportsman's guide. They will not give you a tracking number and they charged you a $15 fee to buy a gun from them. Nobody else in the country does this. They won't give you proof your item is shipped. They're garbage on then highest level. I will be contacting people like Kentucky ballistics who is sponsored by sportsman's guide about this as well.

Don't use this company! they are keeping my refund or taking over a month. They do not respond to emails and the phone number they supplied doesn't work.
