Spoutible is exactly what social media should be. SOCIAL. It's safe, trolls are handled expeditiously, people are free to be their silly authentic selves. We have raisins too!!
I love what Mr. Bouzy has created for us.

This is the only safe space social media platform. Everyone who isn’t a troll belongs here. Forget the rest.

Besides it being well designed and programmed to keep disruptive accounts from making the site unpleasant, the owner is very responsive and responsible, UNLIKE the bird site and its owner.

Spoutible is a work in progress, and it is already a marvel. It has the most features available than any other social media platform by far and doesn't require a subscription. The TOS are clear and effectively enforced. I have not missed the vitriol and chaos of the "Bird App". Trolls and bots may find it inhospitable, and I am ok with that. If you want dialogue and respectful discourse this is the place.

Spoutible was started as a result of the bird site being sold to a rat. It has great features, that allow the user to control their experience. You don't have to pimp yourself for followers, or be pimped and what you see on your feed is from those you engage with or news stories that were blasted out. You can be as engaged as little or as much as you want. Jump on in the water's fine.

Spoutible is without question a calm and seriously moderated environment that is being underrated, which is slowing its growth (or so it seems to me). Hopefully more people will join it to where it will be even more active and vital than it is now. It is absolutely a second home to me, and I continue to visit it daily. It routinely prevents troll farms and other griefers from coming on, and in this modern era, that's a great thing. Note: I am one of the early users of the site, and watched it grow to where it is now.

It's a very well functioning platform with all you could expect from a micro-blog.
I believe a lot of the failings of Twitter/X has been addressed in the new development.
It feels fairly balanced but quite a few people are to obsessed with complaining about other platforms. Just enjoy the silence. 😀

A great community with very little pressure placed on users to perform a certain way. A nice, positive respite that should be more common online.

This site has been built catering to the users rather than trying to make the users the product. You meet great people from all walks. It has a ways to go, but I'm seeing big accounts I used to like from X joining weekly.

The Spoutible community is designed for those marginalized. We listen & show love & support to each other. There are great discussions both political and humanitarian as well as fun topics, music, art, photography, videos, foodies, sports fans, books, creativity, crafts, and so much more. So easy to navigate. Great tools and features and it gets better each day.

Spoutible is a friendly and well moderated space. It's TOS is clear and enforced. It's functionality matches and sometimes exceeds other social media platforms with its interface most like Twitter of old. A great place I hope becomes the standard Twitter was.

I joined Spoutible in February 2023. At first I didn't get it. I'd come back from time to time and not see any activity. I finally figured out that I needed to follow people. I started to follow people, started to see posts and replies. People started to follow me (I'm not a prolific Spouter.) For the most part people are friendly, respectful, helpful. There are lively discussions. There are news feeds. There are music posts. There are jokes (the Great Raisin Wars for example.) It's a fun place to hang out. But you get out of Spoutible what you put into it. There are bumps in the road, but Christopher Bousy and his team get them worked out in short order. TwitterlessTuesday turned into TwitterlessAugust. I go back to X occasionally, but Spoutible is, IMO, much better and more fun.

I have found Spoutible to be a calm oasis in desert of hate-filled social media. Spoutible encourages conversation and debate, and discourages trolls, Nazis, racists, antisemites, stalkers, and the rest of that crowd who have found homes on some other sites.
I call it, keeping it civil, and safe, for those who wish to converse, not yell.

I really enjoy the variety of content people post and the way people treat each other. Someone strongly disagreed with me on one of my earliest posts and pointed out something I really hadn't thought about and how it could be interpreted. We had a good back and forth and now follow each other. In looking at the profiles of people I feel like there is a huge diversity of age, backgrounds, gender, race, socio-economics, etc.... The platform works REALLY well, easy to navigate, fast performance, and it works well on my PC as well as phone.

This social media platform does many things, very well. They add features regularly, and they do a very good job to provide a user friendly experience, with less trolls and invasive spam accounts.
It isn't a platform that "replaces Twitter" with all of it's glories and faults- so if that's what you're looking for? It will disappoint you if you're out to harass other users, or sell online porn content, etc.
It's geared toward open communication between rational people, without abuse and spam, and robot accounts.
It has a few quirks, that make it somewhat difficult to build engagement; but those are constantly being worked on; and although some above reviews accuse the platform of censorship?
It is clearly stated in the terms of use what isn't allowed; and constant abuse of the rules will get an account banned quickly.
That is a deal breaker; if you're looking for a platform to troll other users, or engage in personal attacks- it's not for you.

It's not perfect, but no social media platform is. What Spoutible offers, that Twitter never did and Bluesky or Threads never will by design, is a genuine attempt to remove trolls and bad-faith actors from the equation.

Easy to enjoy once you learn the differences between it and the other social platforms. I particularly love the hands on feeling from the actual developer himself. It shows us how much it actually means to him to offer a safe, healthy alternative to the toxicity festering among competing social media platforms. I call it home!

Joined early on. The site runs well. Its very feature rich and the lack of bots and trolls is an awakening to what social media can be. Like all social media, your experience varies with whom you follow and interact.
If your idea of fun is trolling and baiting others you won't last long. Wheaton's Rule in full effect.
