We have noticed other horses in our neighborhood that have so many flies, lots of tail flicking. When I look at our horses, there are a few flies, but the horses are not seriously bugged by them like the other horses. That's how I can tell it's working!

I think the product itself is good but not great. Did not repel gnats and face flies after a while. I believe it did repel ticks which was great. But after the first three tubs, my mare refused to eat her feed until I removed it completely. No idea why. My other horses didn't mind it.

My horse is very sensitive to flies and I started using this last year. His stablemates will have flies around them but not my horse! I think it works well.
