Rip off tracker

James Kemple Investigation and Security has use spytec for years! My company will never ever do business with this company again!!!! I have ran 2 to 3 trackers on 1 account for year! Now the want to rip customer's off for more money!!!! Save Your hard earned money and go elsewhere!!!!!!

The "Worst" tracker and customer service!

I've had Spytec for almost a year, I've dealt with the unit having a very slow response time, so much so I'm trying to watch my son an he's apparently several miles away, then the front door opens and he's standing right infront of me. Also Spytec just added a stupid info window in the middle of the viewing window and it blocks your view of the tracker. I've tried and tried to reach so form of customer service and all I get is a stupid chat Bot with no real answers to my questions. I'm tired of paying $25 monthly for nothing besides the cost of the unit itself.

My Tracker has not been placed in my car yet. The tracker has been on my counter top in the same place for over a week. Today I started receiving alerts that it is moving at 5 mph every 10 minutes to different locations! 😳 Imagine this tracker in your dream car and you are at work and don't know if it's real or not! Definitely not worth $25.00 per month for something untrustworthy! Better GPS gadgets on the market!

Go elsewhere for your GPS tracker

Bought the GL300 on a Thursday and paid Spytec $50 to have it here, in Kentucky, by that Saturday because it was unexpectedly needed Sunday. The tracking authorization takes 24 hrs, once purchased, before it is active. That would all be fine and good but they don't have any, zero, tracking plans available on their GPS activation site. There is no phone number to call and talk to someone, they keep you at arm's length, so they don't have to deal with you. I played by their rules (like I had a choice) and a hour and a half after I emailed their "support" what I assume to be a person but could have been a bot, Damion, emailed and said they were having problems and he'd have billing contact me so I could get activated in plenty of time but I had to send my phone number. I sent it 3 hours ago...I've emailed three times since then... no response..this is a frustration that I paid for...like buying a Rubik's cube...I'd certainly recommend going elsewhere for your GPS tracker this bunch can't find their tails with both hands...

Worked great for a week.

Worked great for a week.. now it wont update the GPS at all. Was kept in its case, never even got wet. holds a full charge but still says its miles from here and traveling 45mph. Stay away. All I keep getting told is to restart it and take a trip with it. On a clear day, still gets no signal. Waste of money.

I’ve had 2 of these

I’ve had 2 of these. When they work it’s fantastic. When there is a problem it takes forever for their customer service to get it resolved. When it’s working, it’s fantastic. But if you have problems it takes forever to get resolved. I’ve currently been told twice they will replace it for free. It hasn’t worked for 2 weeks and they’re still jacking around trying to send it an update. Terrible customer service. They just keep passing you on to the next person.

I purchased a device from Spytec

I purchased a device from Spytec. It didn't work, so after several attempts to get it working I sent it back. I did see a few days worth of data before it quit working again, but then I also saw several days of data from before I received the device. I believe they sent me one that had been previously used and returned and they did a poor job of erasing the old data. They did not refund me the cost of the device once I mailed it back- saying they never got it. They did not refund me the monthly subscription fee either. Customer service and tech support was pretty nice, but ultimately it was all a giant waste of time and money. I have no idea how a company can sell you a refurbished device as "new" then refuse to refund you any money once you've returned it. Seems illegal.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! 1.) They say lifetime guarantee. I had my device for 2 month and it stopped working. I called to have them replace it. They charge for $20 handling PLUS I had to pay to mail it back. 2.) When I got the new device I lost all my data. I had to go to court to show my employee lied and was working his own accounts instead of my accounts. Using my car, equipment and on my time. BUT when time came I could not show the data because I only had the date from the new device. 3.) After 2 weeks of calling an
trying to get some help I sent an email. Again after some waiting someone called me. THEY HAVE NO TECH HELP. I was told they change the platform and we needed a new device. Waited another week. Now I have the device. I went on line to activate it. It won't activate. Say I have to talk to tech. BUT THERE IS NO TECH. Then I went on line to "chat" Can't find where to chat. Mind you my device is only about 9 month old ant it has stopped working twice. I have my 3rd device and it is not working.

New platform is absolutely useless

Have been using Spytec for almost a year with good service and few issues. However they have changed to a new “platform” and it’s absolutely horrible! They had to send me replacement trackers because they were suddenly no longer able to locate or activate my trackers due to issues on their end. Even with the replacements, the new platform is useless. They took something that wasn’t “broke” and tried to fix it. Tracking is ridiculously complicated with unexplained gaps in locations. I was going to hang with them and see it through until they fixed the bugs, but this is more than bugs, they have big issues on their end with no sign of resolution. Customer service is poor because they are so swamped with trying to handle all of the issues with the new system. Unfortunately I’m going to have to find another system for tracking. Also, battery life on the new replacement trackers is half of what it used to be on the old ones.

Old platform is the bomb,New platorm is a snap pop

Old platform is the bomb, I loved it! This new one is a significant downgrade from what the old one could do. I cannot even follow my tracker in real time. The the map is not using google maps any longer, but using mapbox, so the images I'm looking at are often way of date. My house shows a shed that has been torn down for 7 years. Wow, now that's a useless map. I can tack better with an old i phone tossed in the vehicle. I'm not gonna keep paying for this.

New Spytec platform is a disaster.

I am a long time subscriber to Spytec and have 2 trackers. They worked very well on the old platform. Recently spytec migrated to a new platform which is a disaster. Now many of the old good features are gone and the new platform makes it impossible to track your vehicles. Useful info is no more available . Too many clicks and no info . Do not buy it until the new platform is fixed or they go back to old platform otherwise you will be wasting money.

Unreliable new platform.

I have my Gl300 for almost 3 years with no problem which i can give them a 4 stars with their old platform. Ever since i sign in, in their new platform which their required, im having an issue of my GPS not updating location. I followed all their instruction and even drive around with the GPS myself but nothing changed. Sometimes it update after an hour or two or even a day. Im already planing to cancel my subscription if they cannot correct the issue. I noticed that they have lots of 5 stars reviews but that was from their old system that i am also happy using and not from the new unreliable platform. Their new platform as i remember just start only last July of 2020 when i sign in that i thought it would be better but it get worse.

Stay far away from Spytec!

Tried to activate the product, three weeks later still didn't work. Even the second device they sent for replacement did not work. Service was an absolute nightmare. Not completely convinced that this is a legitimate company. Would NEVER recommend this product to anyone.

Not good

I've been a customer for a few years. The old platform was great. This new platform is terrible. It doesn't show side streets anymore, tracking route is the same color as the roads so you can't even see the route. The old platform looked realistic, this new one looks like a cartoon and is just not very accurate. I've asked to be put back to the old platform but they won't do it because they are trying to get rid of it. Why? Now I'm looking for a tracker with a realistic platform

I have had the device for 4 days and the device turns off ever morning and dose not work until the late evenings. The company is selling products that they are unable to manage. This honestly has been my worst customer experience of my life.
Oddly the product only works late at night.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!
