I’m writing to complain about the service StarHub offers.
I recently ordered the new iPhone 16 Pro Max and it is due to arrive from 9 am to 1 pm today but I did not get it. I contacted the StarHub helpline and they did not help at all.
The people on the live chat was very defensive and did not provide simple information that I asked for. I am just waiting for my phone to arrive and I did not get a heads-up that they would be late.
Highly recommended not to buy online despite the wait.

StarHub used to be good. Now plans are more pricey and connections just nonsense. The increase in price doesn’t justify the products given what more the service provided. You call in to ask for solution but they are practically not helpful at all.

Ongoing Issue With StarHub - Poor Customer Support

Alas, I am still not able to connect to a network while travelling in Australia.
I received an update from StarHub on Wednesday 28th. Again, the update was "There is no update. Tech Support need another 3 working days to investigate."
I contacted Customer Support today (Friday 30th) to find out if any progress has been made. No surprise, Tech Support are still working on the issue. The Customer Support Officer will escalate. Really? How many times can you escalate an issue?
It should not be this difficult for StarHub to determine if it is a network issue or the replacement SIM card they issued does not work properly.
Think twice before you give your business to StarHub.

Rude StarHub Customer Service
Very bad experience with StarHub customer service on 27 Aug 2024 at about 1 pm, I called to said I cannot watch StarHub channels as usual they will tell you to power on and power many many times and still don't work so the lady said next appointment is on 07 Sep. I told her the date is too long and she hung up the line. I knew she pretended that she cannot hear me but I can hear her. I kept hello hello then line terminated. If there was line interruption she would have call me back but she did not.
This is the first time StarHub Customer service hung up the call.
Constantly technical issues
Constantly technical issues, the routers must be of very low quality. Have starhub only 2 months now and had 3 visits of technical support as things just dont work. Have the StarHub's UltraSpeed/10Gbps, doesnt work well, not worth the money., technical guys are friendly enough and replay try to help. Phone support is useless, endless waiting and choice menus and the only thing they can offer is to turn off all and replug in. Thanks Einstein, hadn't thought about that. However, each time you have to go through this or they wont send a technical guy. Very frustrating. Will definitely not recommend this company.
Edit: it is the 15th of September and internet issues not solved. They will finally send a technician.. on the 26th of September. This company is sad, you will not expect such service in a country like Singapore.

The customer service is abysmal. There’s a complete lack of transparency, with no clear communication or direction on what’s being done to resolve my case. Their whatsapp chats are useless

Asked for a transfer service
Asked for a transfer service. Gave them 3 weeks notice. Last minute, they cancelled and lied about the reasons. Said new condo had not approved their work to be done which was not true. Changed story that it was the old condo that not approved which also was not true. Afterp poking through their lies, they want us to wait another minimum 1 week. Asked to speak to a manager and manager has avoided speaking to us.
StarHub Star Plan
Service staff are good. But unfortunately I plan to switch to other telco due to StarHub super lousy Star Plan. Once you in Star plan, no way to keep back your number if you change to other plan. Plus call Center does not help Star plan customer. Only online chat which is super lousy. Prepare to spent hours if u plan to use online chat. My family has been with StarHub for more than 15yrs and this is how StarHub going to lose their loyal long term customers. Great Marketing Strategy.
Absolutely horrible experience for home…
Absolutely horrible experience for home broadband. First installer came, had hardware issues, and left. Had to subsequently wait for ONE WEEK, for next available installer, who came, and within 3 minutes said there was NO IP in my home and left. Is this is joke? Calling customer hotline is also extremely painful.
Ridiculous StarHub broadband service
Ridiculous StarHub broadband service. Installation for my broadband was arranged on 26th of July, was also the date I move in to my new BTO. Technician came and mentioned that there was no internet connection and backend team told him to change the modem and still, no internet connection. Backend team called and said that there was no data IP and will arrange a call back to follow up on the 29th of July with the assumption that they should be able to settle the issue. I waited patiently without the Internet for 4 days (not being able to connect to my kid’s camera for safety) and used my personal phone data for work. They called back not telling me that the issue was resolved but rather that they will arrange a technician to down on 30th of July to do an installation again. (Again it’s not the hardware issue, they themselves mentioned it was the backend problem so what’s the point of getting him down? To entertain me?) Today, the technician came and still the same issue persist. Still no dam internet. No IP. I regretted taking up StarHub when I was looking around for a internet provider. 4/5 whole freaking days and nothing resolved. To those that are planning to take up StarHub, take my review as a consideration.

Quality service
I wish to compliment Mr. Low Jia Sheng for his excellent service when I visited Starhub at Ang Mo Kio Hub B1-09 on 25/7. He was so patient in assisting me to transfer all data from my current phone to the new phone purchased. He did not charge for that and told me that it is free service provided by Starhub. Well done, Mr. Low Jia Sheng and Starhub!
