I didn't work for me on an external drive failure. Seems that on old external chips with their own power supply a chip on the external drives circuit has to be moved to a new board

As discussed during our recent conversation, you're attempting to recover data from an external drive that experienced a power failure and is connected via a SATA cable. It appears the recovery was unsuccessful because critical information was written to a chip essential for decoding the disk. This chip may need to be removed and soldered onto a replacement board for recovery to proceed.
We would like to inform you that a stable and secure connection between your computer and the hard drive is essential to initiate the recovery process. Once connected, please check whether the drive is recognized in Disk Management on your computer. This ensures that the system can detect the drive, making it ready for scanning.
To move forward, please download and install Stellar Data Recovery for Windows application and initiate the scan.
However, if the drive is physically damaged or still not recognized in Disk Management, we recommend our specialized data recovery services. Stellar operates Class 100 Clean Room Labs in India and the Netherlands, equipped to handle complex recovery cases.

I had a problem with an external disk. "chkdsk E: /f /r" showed problems, but stopped with "not enough space for repair" message. Afterwards the disk was shown as "RAW". I purchased STELLAR data recovery but didn't know how to handle the problem. After some effectless telephone call with a stellar technican, I started a live chat. Technican was very helpful and respectfull, as the language of my computer was German and it was problematic for him to handle that. Also reaction of the disk was very slow, reconnection needed more than an hour. We stopped in the evening after everything was prepared for further analysis and we just waited for the readiness of everything. This morning another technician took over. After repeated reconnection, stellar was able to start analysis. Result is still open, but things look quite good now. I am very happy about the friendlyness and respectfullness of the staff and the patience, they take. The Software does not seem to be the first selection to adress the problem, because I don't want to recover any data from another disk. Instead I want to get the drive working normally again. This is hard to understand for an unexperienced user. But it seems to do the work needed now
