The original had gone very yellow and brittle and broke when the decorator tried to remove it. This clipped straight into place. This is a direct replacemnt for the oringinal. I'm not sure that it is really necessary on my radiator which is 1200 mm long but I replaced it anyway just for completeness when I put the cover back together. Only time will tell whether it will fade like the original but so far it is perfect.
