We had an excellent experience at Stevensons in Perth while shopping for Aditya’s uniform for Glenalmond College. From start to finish, Shirley looked after us with exceptional care and attention to detail.

Stevensons always have a great amount of stock in and are our go-to for start of years and top up items. We have used both delivery and in-store - both work well. Staff are super and their pop-up shops during Summer holidays are really useful

My son and I were served by Finlay for a blazer fitting. He was very patient and nothing was too much trouble for him. Stevensons are fortunate to have Finlay helping them over the school holidays. First class service.

We are extremely disappointed with the experience we had during our recent in-store appointment. The staff member assigned to assist us had no knowledge whatsoever of the items on the list we came fully prepared with. Each time we asked a question or suggested an item, his response was either “I don’t know” or “I’ll have to go check at the back.” He was clearly untrained or uninformed about the very basics of the products.

To make matters worse, when his supervisor—a female staff member—got involved, she was equally unhelpful and dismissive. There was no effort made to salvage the experience or provide proper guidance.

We were also told we needed to book an appointment, yet the store was practically empty, and people were freely walking in off the street. It was clear that the appointment system was unnecessary and misleading.

Most frustrating of all, no fitting was done for our daughter. No measurements were taken. The staff member couldn’t even determine her size, nor did he make any serious attempt to do so. This was not a “fitting” appointment by any reasonable standard—it was a complete waste of time.

Add to that the lack of a reachable landline to make enquiries beforehand, and the absence of any toilet facilities for children (we had to make a dash with our 5-year old to the shopping centre), and it’s hard to describe this experience as anything other than utterly poor. We left the store frustrated and disappointed, having accomplished nothing.

We expect a formal response and explanation for how such a poorly managed and unprofessional encounter could take place.

Staff very helpful. Shop was very busy but staff were polite and kept us informed of when they'd be able to help or getting us alternative sizes. At the till, staff provided excellent service and didn't rush us through the purchase even though they needed more staff that day.

Whilst staff are helpful and efficient, as a company Stevensons is completely degrading. Sizes manufactured for 'on the shelf' stop at a stupidly small size - 32" waist in kilts, size medium in polo shirts for example. Anything bigger, requires a 'special order'. Nothing special about it, other than the fact it takes 12 weeks! Way to go, in promoting inclusivity, and the confidence and self esteem of young people.
