Many thanks to the entire SC&C team for how they all helped me learning so much more about myself, my faith in God and my capabilities through my beliefs in both God and myself.

I became involved with SCC back in 2016. I was looking at taking what I saw as potentially a significant financial downgrade with my relocation from the US mid Atlantic region in the Baltimore/Washington area due to what turned out to be the beginnings of a booming region of the nation.

The ROI (Return on investment) with what I paid SC&C to mention those that hate and refuse to recognize, accept or understand the personal gains that Capitalism, can and/or will provide, has more than exceeded what I paid for their services.

I owe many thanks and a great deal of gratitude to Fred and his his team. I am eternally grateful for aligning me with Mr. Bill Temple as my couch. He helped provided me life lessons which
enabled me to better understand myself and my capabilities that have significantly help me in my career and personal matters.

I owe a great deal of thanks to the SC& C team for helping me personally in many ways

I am not a client of this firm

I am not a client of this firm, but after reading the mostly positive reviews, I thought it might be helpful for some of those job hunters out there to hear my experience. I just received an email from Stewart, Cooper and Coon presenting me with a 7-question questionnaire, presumably to screen me as a potential client. The one that caught my attention was the last question - "As truthful as you can be, what will be the biggest reason companies may incorrectly/inadvertently "pass over you"? In my case, this question is really the crux of my entire job hunting experience. I believe that I can offer a high degree of value to an employer - value that is not readily translatable in a resume or cover letter. So far I evidently haven't been able to effectively project that value to potential employers, which leaves me nowhere thus far. I have employed the services of 2 other firms, both requiring money from me, and I have to say that I'm done shelling out money and getting no results. If I had encountered Stewart, Cooper and Coon earlier in my job hunting journey, before I paid a lot of money to these 2 other firms, I would probably pursue the possibility of working with SC&C. But I'm done paying money to find a job and that's how I intend to respond to the emailed questionnaire. What happened to the traditional model of recruitment firms getting their money from the hiring employer? I know that those percentages are high and companies are tired of paying what could amount to be exorbitant fees. Maybe those fees should be reduced across the board. Bottom line for me is, if a potential employer truly sees long term value in me as an employee, they shouldn't hesitate to pay the fee. If I'm going to provide long term value, then that fee will pay for itself many times over.

Snake oil folks

Snake oil folks. A legit recruiter will never charge the client (you) for their services. I've worked with recruiters for years, successfully securing most of the positions I've had and guess what? Not once was a fee discussed. I've also worked in technology for many years and I can see a good online review marketing campaign when I see one. Zero companies have almost a 5-star review, they don't exist. These reviews are left by employees through their real accounts or by creating fake ones. Save your money, leverage LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. Update your resume and start job hunting. If you're well qualified a legitimate recruiter will reach out to you and work hard on your behalf to secure you the right position. In addition, most mid-large companies have internal recruiters that will reach out to you directly. Don't get suckered into paying your hard earned money for an unnecessary and ineffective service.

Everyone is welcome to speak their mind on any subject. That's the American way. However, this commenter is NOT a client of our company. Moreover, I would like to address some points made by this person. Our employees do not leave comments websites. I am the only one authorize to do that, unless a website is designed for that. purpose.

Second, he's right in that everyone should update their resume and get to work to find something they want in the way of employment. However, even IF you are well-qualified, recruiters will NOT necessarily call you. As a 20+ year recruiter, I can assure readers of this message their job is to screen out candidates so to expect a call is an unrealistic expectation. Third, most mid-sized companies now have ATS (applicant tracking software) which is robotic and does the screening for the internal recruiters. IF , and only IF your resume is key word saturated and has the key components they seek, will you be put in a- list to REVIEW, not call, and then if you are not the perfect match, they will NOT call you. Again, I appreciate people providing information but let's make sure it is correctly stated, before publishing. Fred Coon, CEO

A Great Partner

After exhausting several months of looking for an opportunity in my field through on line searches, I decided to invest in myself by partnering with Steward, Cooper & Coons. It was a true partnership throughout the process. Through a detailed approach of worksheets and discussion, my career campaign coach got to know my skills, experience, career successes and career goals to help me create tools to promote myself. I truly had a partner that understood my strengths and the value I will add to my next position. I consider myself with above average interview skills, having an HR background and being in a position to interview and select upper management talent. By using the tools we created I enhanced my interview skills and found the feedback from my coach to be both on target and specific to further elevate my skills. My career coach is professional, detailed, knowledgeable, and truly a great partner! I am happy my career search led me to Stewart, Cooper & Coon to create a partnership that kept me focused, detailed and aggressive in my search to finding a position and company that I am very excited about.

Only Wish I Called S&C Sooner!

Having been laid off, looking for your next career opportunity, and being in your mid 50’s is a position no one wants to be in. I personally know that feeling and I never want to feel it again. After I was laid off, I spent six months doing it on my own, and coming in second place in job interviews. I had exhausted all my resources and didn’t know what to do next. Stewart, Cooper & Coon (SC&C) reached out to me, and I now wish I would’ve engaged with them sooner. With SC&C, you not only have industry professionals to help you find your next career opportunity, you have people who really care about you as a person. My career coach was not only my coach; she was my partner throughout the whole process, and available anytime I needed her. She helped me pick myself up and helped me put a plan into action. Not only did she assist me in finding my next employment opportunity, she taught me skills I can easily use in my new job, and in life. My word of advice for anyone who is in the situation I was in – call Stewart, Cooper & Coon today.

SC&C Helped Me Effectively Organize & Manage My Job Search

After searching for over 18 months I have found employment in the chemical industry and wanted to express my gratitude to your company for helping me organize and manage my job search so effectively.

My search begin when my previous employer restructured and my position as Vice President, Sales, was eliminated and I was back in the job market without a coherent plan of action. I found Stewart, Cooper & Coon, six months into my job search and, after speaking with your staff, I decided to utilize SC&C services. It was the best decision of my career.
Their processes of evaluation, SHARE story creation, my WebFolio, the great coaching, help in preparing for interviews, and help and support during negotiation was invaluable. I was then focused and fully prepared for my job search.

My Campaign Director was a constant source of inspiration, motivation, solid advice, and tremendous assistance during the entire search process, truly dedicated to helping her clients any way at any time and a true professional in every sense of the word. I recommend Stewart, Cooper & Coon highly and am happy to act as a reference.

Stewart, Cooper & Coon helps you get results.

I was laid off from my position with a leading financial services firm. As part of my severance package I was offered the services of an industry "leading" outplacement services firm. That firm offered resume writing services, a dedicated "coach" and a weekly networking meeting where others searching for employment would meet to review job search progress. Needless to say I was not successful with that model of job search. It felt like I was getting a mass market approach to finding my next career.

After a review of the Stewart Cooper Coon (SCC) model for Individual Executive Placement I engaged their services and believe that they provided me the necessary tools for securing my current role. SCC spends a great deal of time helping you get into the correct mindset for looking for employment and supports you throughout the process. You are held accountable for your deliverables and frequent calls with your coach help you stay on track. SCC does a deep dive on all of your past career successes and uses that information to build a compelling and results focused resume.

My former outplacement firm gave me a three page resume full of fluff. My SCC resume was two pages and only contained quantifiable successes. I had a recruiter say that my resume was one of the best they had ever seen. SCC builds you an online Webfolio goes deeper into your resume successes by highlighting executive core competencies and how you used those competencies to realize career success.

The Webfolio link is added to the resume and can be used as you network for your next opportunity. SCC will help you research firms and develop a list of companies to target in your job search. They will go one step further and will make calls to those firms to introduce you and open up networking opportunities. This is most successful if there is an open position at the firm you are targeting, but you never know where that next role is coming from so everything helps. SCC will also help you navigate marketing to recruiters, further expanding your networking capabilities. SCC provides the frame work to help you build compelling SHARE stories to be used in interviewing situations.

They spend ample time helping you practice for interviewing so that those SHARE stories are second nature and can be delivered with confidence. SHARE = Situation, Hindrance, Action, Result, Emotional Intelligence. Once you have the offer SCC will help you navigate the salary negotiation process and land the offer you want.

The Stewart Cooper Coon method is very thorough, thoughtful and focused. They will help you discover the best of you and turn that into a compelling story to share with prospective AND future employers. I highly recommend them.

I hired Stewart Cooper and Coon to …

I hired Stewart Cooper and Coon to assist me with my transition to the civilian world after retiring from the Army. They did a great job of preparing my resume, helping me focus on interview preparation and thinking about my next move.
The work of actually finding a position was left more to me than I had anticipated. While I did not find a position through their firm, the preparation for interviewing was definitely well-done and improved my poise and self confidence in the interview.

Thanks for telling everyone we helped, especially since you found the position on your own. Many clients find their new position through media, or online, or networking. That is expected. There are 7 channels of marketing and to depend solely upon SC&C to find a job is not what we recommend or do. In fact, we tell every client prior to gaining that status, that we are not allowed to promise them a job or even an interview , by Sate Statute. under which we are regulated. Focus and preparation are the key to conducting a successful search. Without that, one is simply like a boat in the ocean withouht a compass. Thanks for the great coments.

SC&C has been hands down, the best investment in myself, and my career.

I can only say great things about my experience with Stewart, Cooper & Coon, and the partnership I had with the entire team assigned to my campaign. I was fortunate to have an excellent Campaign Director who did an outstanding job keeping my focus on the tasks that provided the greatest impact to my career transition.
The early stages and initial tasks requiring that I provide my past experience and accomplishments, in all honesty, seemed somewhat time-consuming and tedious. However as a result of all that preparation, today I am able to reflect on 20 years of my career and communicate my accomplishments with great confidence.
During my visit to Phoenix, I had the opportunity to learn and master skills that I now use in my every day communication.
Consequently, within 6 months of joining SC&C, I started receiving calls from recruiters and executives interested in discussing their needs with me, resulting in multiple job offers. I was even taught skills that helped me effectively negotiate total compensation packages, which has proven invaluable.
SC&C has been hands down, the best investment in myself, and my career.

Thanks for the comments. The reason you received the calls from the recruiters and companies is that they understood and "got" your value when looking at your resume and Career WebFolio and LinkedIn profile. Those three, in combination, make a powerful brand that clearly shows a client's value to the company. Thanks for the opportunity to work with you.

My introductory experience

My introductory experience with Stewart, Cooper, and Coon was exemplary. I was contacted by a Senior Executive Consultant shortly after posting my resume online. He took the time to review my resume and contact me to gauge my level of interest in using an Executive Search service. During our first call I found that my consultant asked thoughtful questions regarding my background, experience, desires, and interests for the future of my career search. We scheduled a follow-up call during which my consultant said he would provide me with a courtesy review of my resume and some tips for my career search, all being gratis. I left the first call feeling rather impressed. Our second call was a real eye-opener. My consultant lead me thru some of my resume deficiencies, and furthermore tested my interview preparedness. I was surprised to see that there was so much to learn about how to market and brand oneself. I found the introductory and review sessions conducted by Stewart, Cooper, and Coon to far exceed my expectations. They weren’t just a sales pitch. I took away some fantastic insights and advice from my time spent with them thus far. I would recommend any individual looking to further their careers to reach out to Sterling, Cooper, and Coon in an effort to learn more about themselves first, and then make a decision to utilize them for additional services.

Pre-paid 'Recruiting" Scam

stewartcoopercoon.com

Stewart, Cooper & Coon / employs a "Blain Ross Johnston" and a "Fred Coon" and they use a crafted email to create a warm lead then call you to pitch to you.

They feed off your emotions to try and hook you as they are talented sales folks which is unfortunate since they prey on those who don't have the money. They use very refined sales tricks which I enjoyed hearing. One was "What was the most you made in your career? $999, so you shouldn't look for less than that. Our service is probably beyond your what you can afford, but we can talk again later this week if you want."

One of their statistics is that they have a 97% success rate. All being told they should be more interested in taking first months salary for $10k+ if that was the case - but they want the money up front since they are doing little to help you find a job.

Additionally, to preclude you from doing any due diligence they furnish links to ripoff report and BBB which are both shakedown services which allow the business to refute the claims. As such Ripoff Report started offering a new service called "RipoffReport Verified" that allows paying members 14 days to resolve complaints before they are posted, for $89.95 a month. It's no surprise that Stewart, Cooper & Coon are "RipoffReport Verified"

Everything online can be faked. Buyer beware.
