i have ordered from this company a few times now - mostly wood blanks - and they have never let me down, and the quality is good and the speed of delivery is excellent. For my recent project I needed some cherry and black walnut, and they had no cherry so i went elsewhere. That company took my money and then said they didn't have any. I continued with the black walnut order and ordered some alternatives from S and B. The S and B order is arriving sooner than from the other company, despite the order being nearly a week later. So a big thank you Stiles and Bates.

I've been woodturning for just over 12 months, starting out initially with "safe" bowls and candlesticks. That must have got my creative juices flowing, as I then started looking at pen turning and a wide array of more "creative" woodturning projects.
By sheet fluke I happened upon Stiles & Bates website...and it has subsequently opened up MANY new possibilities with my humble lathe! They supply pretty much every kind of "accessory" you can think of, ranging from a variety of pen and pencil mechanisms, to pewter lids, salt/pepper mill mechanisms, etc. This year they have also started supplying resins for "hybrid" bowls, which I am just about to start experimenting with.
Refreshingly they are also exceptionally knowledgeable and willing to give advice whenever needed.
The best bit is their catalogue...It is worth just getting this to the brilliant one-liners and creative writing!
Oh, they also supply excellent quality wood blanks and pretty much every kind of woodturning tool you could ever need!
