Went to an event did not feel at al welcome and definately not included
Went to an event did not feel at all welcome
No one in specified meeting area. When I messaged I got a reply that all were already seated and no vacant seat . I was at meeting area 15 mins early. All attendees appeared to already know each other, all seated together. I sat solo, still enjoyed show
No follow up message from anyone - will not attend this regular event again.

Hi Cate, we're really sorry to hear you didn't feel welcome at that event. We spend a lot of time trying to remind members that once they have built strong friendships with other members, it can make new members feel left out, which is why we have such strong guidelines around being welcoming to new members. Looking at our records, it does look as if you've been to several events over the last few years, so the system may not have alerted the existing members that you needed some extra welcome. Grateful for being a member of Stitch
I've been a member for a few years now, and there are so many groups that you either meet in person or virtual groups online. I've never met a group I didn't like, and the people are so nice. A very positive experience!!

Stitch has enriched my life.
Stitch has enabled me to meet a lot of new people, some of them are now friends.
I don't do much of the virtual stuff. I think life is full of that already. I have enjoyed the events from meals out to outdoor theatre, it's all been enriching to my life.

Loving life
Stitch has really opened up a whole new world for me. I retired early so most of my friends still work and are not available to hang out with during the week. The activities on offer are variable so there is always something interesting happening. I have found the members to be fun loving and friendly. I absolutely recommend it.

Stitch makes life better in lots of ways.
Stitch makes more of an effort to verify it's members than many paid sites and any free site in the world that I know of, & takes other measures to make sure members aren't scammed or taken advantage of in any way. It has a rating system for human interactions, & just like the rating system on eBay helps people avoid dodgy sellers, Stitch helps people avoid trolls & the like. There are heaps of activities & the only limiting factor on how many activities I join in on is my energy level (there's lots of free or cheap activities so cost isn't a big factor). One thing I love is making friends with people through the online discussions, unfortunately it's rare that the friends I make in those discussions are in the same city as me but we have interesting conversations. There are also heaps of people I catch up with who do live locally but this tends to be in the activities rather than the discussions.

My Wonderful Stitch Family
I have now been a member of Stitch for about 8 years & couldn’t be happier.
I have met so many amazing people & made so many wonderful friends & still making more as there are lots of new people joining all the time.
I am constantly busy going to so many events like shows which include dancing (which I love) cooking demos & amazing talks at the Aust Maritime Museum and many many more. The various events are limitless.
I am enjoying myself so much especially with the exceptional event organisers who really do wonderful jobs.
Without Stitch I’d probably be just sitting at home all alone 🤦♀️😞

I’ve been a Stitch member for about 3 years and I absolutely love it! There is always a good choice of events on offer, and at every event you usually see some regular faces as well as meeting new ones. I’ve found everyone to be welcoming and friendly, as at the end of the day we all want the same thing…..connecting with others and having a good time. No more sitting at home alone, and it’s a safe way of meeting people. I’ve made some really good friends.
