The driver telephoned me prior to delivery to say he'd be approx 30 minutes, he arrived 20 minutes later, The driver was very helpful and very pleasant and respectful. I was also very happy with the stones. I would, very happily, use your company again.

Dumpy bag of pebbles
Ordered dumpy bag of pebbles which were delivered on time by very friendly and driver. The load was placed exactly where I wanted it.
All I now need is the impetus to move them to where I want them.

With regards to the sizing of the pebbles, they are screened in two dimensions through a filter (like piano wires) set to the size range of the stones to be passed through (i.e 30-50mm). If you imagine an egg being passed through a hole, it will go through lengthways if the width parameter of the screen is set to that measurement, but it will not go through widthways if turned on its side (as that dimension is larger than the set measurement).
You will always get some stones/pebbles that go through the screener that can be larger/longer than the size range as they measure correctly on at least one of the dimensions. Once they’ve passed through the shaker/screener they next go into the bulk bag which are robotically filled & weighed as we don’t hand-fill/pick any products into the bulk bags.
We also don’t hand-fill/hand-pick any products into the bulk bags, they’re all robotically filled & weighed and can sometimes even come straight from the quarry pre-filled for us.

Great company.
I ordered two jumbo bags of gravel and one of them came with a rip (I believe this had happened in transit and had been wrapped with cellophane) when it arrived a small amount of gravel and fallen out of the jumbo bag say maybe 75kg of the 850kg.
I wasn’t even going to bother but I told the company what happened, I sent them a couple of pictures and they offered to send me a full replacement bag out!! you can’t say fairer than that brilliant stuff.

I should have read the reviews - stay away
I ordered 2 850kg bags of 40mm grey slate (delivery was no problems at all) at delivery the delivered slate looked lovely - and we were pleased. However, within a week the lovely grey was now brown/white/mottled and not grey! The majority of the slate has discoloured and I keep being told by customer service that’s it a natural product and there are disclaimers on the website - I suggest it should called ‘multi coloured slate’ rather than grey!

Slate is a product that contains iron naturally. It’s blasted from the quarry at different parts of the seam, so some pieces can have a high iron content and others can have little to none at all, unfortunately we're unable to control the percentage of this in each piece as all of the bulk bags are robotically filled and weighed (not hand-picked). As nature has taken its course and we've had some rain, the quarry dust that will have been on the pieces has washed away to reveal the iron colour within the product.
