Excellent Quality and Service

We are very happy with my purchase from this tile store. The tiles are high quality and look amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole process was quick and easy. Highly recommended!

Poor quality damaged tiles blamed on nature or customer

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Stone Deals, not because an issue arose, but because of the manner in which responsibility was repeatedly deflected once it did.
Following delivery, nine tiles, around 9 percent of the order, were found to be cracked. The pallet and all boxes were intact. The damage was confined to individual tiles inside sealed boxes and was reported the same day with photographs. Despite this, the initial response focused on whether the delivery paperwork had been signed as damaged, implicitly attributing fault to transport, even though there was no external damage to note at delivery.
When this position became untenable, the explanation shifted. First, the cracks were dismissed as “natural veining”, accompanied by an unsolicited and scientifically dubious lecture on stone formation, including the assertion that veins are “natural cracks”. Once further evidence was provided, the issue was reframed again, this time on price. I was explicitly told that at £39.99 per square metre I should not expect good quality stone, despite the same stone being sold by the company in other formats at prices approaching £99.99 per square metre.
In the same correspondence, I was described as a “valued customer” and offered a single free box as a goodwill gesture, while being expected to either collect it myself or pay delivery costs exceeding the value of the tiles.
It is deeply disappointing to see a business show so little pride in its product or accountability in its service, and instead give the impression of prioritising deflection, patronising explanations and opportunistic charges over honest resolution.

Firstly, thank you for providing photographs of the areas you believe to be defective in the natural stone purchased from us.

We value all customer feedback, as it helps us continually review and improve our service and internal processes.

We have acknowledged, and continue to acknowledge, that the two tiles identified as damaged require replacement. As a prompt resolution, we have offered to replace these two tiles and include three additional tiles at no extra charge.

Though what you are referring to as defects are the natural veins of this range. We have offered a complimentary box of the same product at no additional cost, which we consider to be a reasonable resolution in circumstances where damage was not recorded with the delivery driver at the time of receipt.

However, we must clarify that many of the areas you have referred to as defects relate to natural veining. In several cases, the veining shown is on the reverse of the tiles, which is laid into bedding material during installation and is not visible once fitted. The veining visible on the face of the tiles is a natural characteristic of the stone and does not constitute a defect. These natural features are representative of the product and are clearly displayed within the imagery provided on our website.

You have again stated that you found our earlier explanation regarding the formation and characteristics of different stone ranges to be “patronising” and described it as an “unsolicited and scientifically dubious lecture on stone formation.”

We would like to clarify that our previous explanation was provided solely to ensure transparency and to give clear information about the product supplied. It was not intended to cause offence. However, we must provide accurate, factual and consistent information about the materials we supply to all customers, so that expectations align with the inherent characteristics of natural stone.

As a valued customer, when you indicated that you have an extensive understanding of how rock forms, we then took the opportunity to explain our pricing structure in more detail. We fully respect your level of knowledge and simply clarified that natural stone is graded, with pricing reflecting that grading. This is standard practice across the industry and applied consistently by suppliers to the ranges they offer

Respectfully, a natural stone range priced at £39.99 per square metre will not exhibit the same level of uniformity or selection as a range priced at £129.99 per square metre. Differences in grading, consistency and visual refinement are reflected in the price point. Expecting identical characteristics across significantly different price tiers would not be realistic, as higher-priced ranges undergo more selective grading for consistency and appearance.

Our position remains that, aside from the two damaged tiles already acknowledged, the product supplied is consistent with the advertised specification and inherent characteristics of the range. Nevertheless, as a gesture of goodwill, we are prepared to provide a complimentary box of this range for collection from your nearest warehouse. As this is a natural product, any replacement tiles may display similar natural variation.

First class customer service

I only used this company for a small order to fill in some cracked slate tiles that needed replacing. The sample was sent quickly and a good match. What really sets this company apart is the excellent customer service though. In particular, Jo was extremely helpful in liaising with the warehouse to pack and prepare my order for collection by courier which I organised myself. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would highly recommend them to anyone else considering some home refurbishment.

It was a nervous purchase ordering…

It was a nervous purchase ordering tiles online as their appearance is so crucial to my renovation, even with a sample and Stone Deals providing pictures of their current stock of Vienne Yellow beforehand. What I received far exceeded my hopes. They are exceptional. Utterly thrilled with them. Beautiful tiles, full of life, texture and blend of colours. It’s made my week and I can be hard to please !

Wonderful customer service

Wonderful customer service. I just required a few mosaic tiles to repair some shower tiles. Jo at the company was incredibly helpful for such a tiny order, and a member of staff who lived near me even hand-delivered the tiles. At a time when there often seems to be little customer service, the way I was treated was outstanding!

Don't trust

Company sent some lovely travertine tiles but sent 23 tiles short of the job we paid for 51sm and received 46 we tried to get the rest sent out but was denied called it was our fault absolutely shocking take your money elsewhere, we've had to re design and use a different company. Shocking from the manager !!!!

Dear Mr Iles, we continue to be extremely puzzled that you still believe you have received 23 tiles short on your order. You stated that you FELT you were short on your tiles AFTER you laid them, NOT when you received them. You have discussed this matter over a lengthy telephone call conversation with our manager, who assessed your shipping photos which were then forwarded to you and Ms Dickson and were informed by him that the photos clearly show the total of 206 tiles across your 2 pallets. You were also explained that we take these photos not just as proof of items being shipped but to be able to assess and rectify any possible warehouse staff errors that may have occurred during order preparation and that on this occasion, however, ALL of the 206 tiles can be individually seen and counted in your shipping photos. When these photos were forwarded to you and Ms Dickson, Ms Dickson subsequently called us back to state that she is counting the amount to be less than 206 tiles. This, of course, in itself is not initially shocking, as counting errors can occur. What is shocking is if we have counted your tiles several times, coming up with the same 206 total, why you and Ms Dickson fail to do so time and time again. With respect, again, you have not been sent the wrong number of tiles, you have received all of the tiles you have paid for on your order with no damages and on time. We would like to kindly point out that cutting and possibly breaking some of the 206 tiles is what is leading you to believe you have not received all 206 tiles, rather than us actually sending you fewer tiles than you have ordered. Excellent Service and Tiles delivered on Time - Highly Recommended!

We were extremely pleased with the service that Jo provided to us from Stone Deals. We wanted to order a specific travertine wall tile for our kitchen/diner and utility room. Jo was so helpful and kept us informed at each stage of the ordering process as well as updating us on the progress of our delivery dates. We need some additional tiles (we miscalculated numbers required!) but Jo ensured that this extra order request was dealt with speedily and it did not affect our tiler's work schedule. Jo was very professional and efficient with a pleasant manner, the tiles were exactly as we hoped and all delivered on time and in perfect condition. We cannot that Jo and Stone Deals enough and do not hesitate to highly recommend them. Thank you!

I am happy with the goods and the customer service. The stones were exactly as promised. The delivery process was very smooth.

Carrara tiles

I wanted a bit more information on the variations on the Carrara tiles, I spoke to Jo who was knowledgeable she also sent me photos of the tile they have in the warehouse, having these was useful in making out decision.
We went with the Carrara White.
The whole process from ordering to delivery went without a fault.
I would definitely recommend this company and I can not wait for my tiles to be installed.

I couldnt even place order for samples…

I couldnt even place order for samples on check out.
Their site will make the transaction hope not take your money but not release the order , your bag is still full..something is very doggy here planing to speak with the bank i was even afraid is some spam to take your card details.
No email on the customer service you can speak with about any issue.
Not recomending at all.

Please kindly note that samples are free on our website and only additional postage charges apply for sample orders above 2 in quantity. Unfortunately we have found that some devices on some browsers do experince issues at certain times of the day, usually this is around midnight, unfortunately, even though we have been working closely with all major browser providers, there still seems to be a very small percentage of customers that experince this issue. In regards to being able to contact us to discuss any issues. We have a policy of no more than 4 rings to answer a phone call during our working hours when our phone lines are not already occupied helping other customers, customers have the ability to leave a voicemail, which we respond to at the earliest opportunity. All of our contact details, including our e-mail address , phone number and company address is under "contact" on the top right of our website, once clicked, our customers can also send us an e-mail directly from the next screen. It is also possible to request a call back from the same screen. We hope this is helpful information.
