I had been faced with court papers served, which were some what confusing and distressing. I contacted Stowe, and met with Aimee McKay, who I must admit calmed me and reassured me when she started speaking over the papers. She was honest and upfront about costs and the challenges I may face but gave me the confidence to pursue the case with her. After a period of near 14 weeks and and two court appearances, I have managed to get the outcome that was best for me and my son…I must also add that the barrister, Patrick was a must have he was calm and collected and very reassuring. First rate service throughout.

I chose Stowe Family Law, albeit in somewhat of a hurry off the back of previous reviews here on Trustpilot and it has proven to be a worthwhile choice.
The solicitor assigned to my case was Bal Boughan, and she and the team supporting her have been nothing short of fantastic.
At all times they have taken the time to fully explain the process, ensure that I understand what needs to be done and have been available to discuss matters face to face at relatively short notice.
Bal is a consummate professional and clearly will do her utmost to get what is best for her clients interest and it has been a pleasure in all my dealings with her. I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone who requires the services of a Family Law practitioner.

Bal & Billie at Stowe in Sheffield helped me with the financial side of my divorce. Everything was done via email which is very convenient as i work full time so would have found phone calls/meetings difficult to fit in. They explained everything in a way so i could understand and always kept me updated with the progress at each stage. The advice given was really helpful and they always gave me every available option when it came down to decision making so i could make my own informed decisions. I found both Bal & Bille to be very empathetic and would recommend their services to anybody.

My cases have both just finished after 20+ months and I can honestly say I could not have done it on my own. Jake is an absolute credit to his profession and company he has always gone out of his way to give me the advice I needed to hear even if it wasn’t what I wanted to hear. He has a great rapport and sense of humour to boot which when your going through family court is a great help to lighten the mood. The team behind Jake was always there when I needed them when he couldn’t help either due to having a holiday or been in court. But he would always follow up with me as soon as he was able to. I made an online enquiry and booked a call back between 12-1pm for Wednesday 22 February. I was called on the day and within the time arranged but unfortunately due to work demands I missed the call. I promptly received an email and rescheduled for the following day. I missed this call, again due to work, but rang back still within my time slot and had a supportive call with Teresa from the client care team. I then booked an options call with solicitor Rachael Harwin from the Sheffield office on Friday 26 February at 12pm. Unfortunately Rachael never called. I contacted the client care team just prior to 1pm to advise of this and have not, to date, received any further communication. With a minimum fee of £400-£900 I would like to feel reassured that my solicitors are reliable and responsive to start in what is already an emotional and difficult situation. Unfortunately this has not been my experience.

I had to go through a particularly difficult divorce with aggressive demands from the other party who were the areas main solicitor group.
I Googled solicitors in Yorkshire and after reading reviews i chose Stowe and was represented by Maria Costa , due to her knowledge , expertise and diligence the result was better than i thought i would achieve at the start of the Journey.
Marias assistant Melanie was fantastic also ,an absolute star , nothing was ever too much for her to do to help , she was efficient and extremely bubbly which helped massively at a difficult time.

I contacted Stowe regarding drafting a consent order. I requested a call back to get some free advice and was assigned Charlotte Newman. She was very friendly and put me at ease on the phone. There was no pressure at any time to continue using their services after I had received the free advice but Charlotte definitely knew her stuff and I felt like I'd be in good hands so I asked them to proceed. Both Charlotte and her assistant Alison were very quick and efficient and always on hand either via email or phone to answer any queries I had. I'm very happy with the service they provided.
