Phoned to enquire about having my wheels aligned following hitting a monstrous pothole and was told to bring my car in for 1400. I done this to then be told there would be a wait, I explained that I phoned earlier and spoke to Tommy who said I'd to ask for him but instead was just asked to sit. Having waited for 40 minutes watching trade contract after trade contract come in and be served and repairs done before me and other public customers I had enough and left.

Also incredibly poor practice to leave job sheets with adresses, names and car keys sitting on the public counter for anyone to steal if they had the guts to, absolutely no way I'd have work done there even if offered for free.

2 tyres fitted today, at home, brilliant service.

I put my car in for mot and service on Wednesday,got a phone call saying it failed its mot with brake pipes and tyres and some advisories.i agreed to have two new tyres fitted and the brake pipes with new brake pads fitted this was one off the advisories I took car home and it appeared fine ,next day I was taking my grandson out with me when the brakes failed I phoned Strathclyde tires and was asked to take car back up.
My car was put on ramp and inspected I was asked to go my car and it was explained to me that no obvious fault was seen and I would have to come back as the ramp was required I replied that was unacceptable as I can't drive a car with fault breaks The mechanic who did the job agreed to look at it at once .he explained that he had changed the three pipes , I said it should have been the four pipes as that is what I have paid for but his manager corrected him saying they replaced four The mechanic then bled the system which was found to contain air Both mechanic and I went for a test run and breaks appeared to be fine, I took car home and decided to check if all four break pipes had actually been replaced,one wasn't I phoned and spoke to receptionist and I had a return call from manager saying that they had made an error and one of the pipes had not been changed as this had been on the advisory list and basically I could take car in for it to be replaced or get a refund I Said that I would have to think about it this was only yesterday and I am unsure what to do .just now I feel angry that I may have paid for things that may not have had to be done and worse being allowed to drive a car with faulty breaks these should have been tested before I was able to remove my car ,what if I was involved in an accident !!!

It is not exactly rocket science to be able to supply and fit new tyres and I have no complaints in this area. Unfortunately I cannot say the same of the failure of your company to fit a replacement, 2 part exhaust system to my car, described in report by independent engineer within 4 months of fitting as join of 2 part system "poor - (spurious)!" and which then failed completely some 22 months after fitting and rear section of new replacement 2 part exhaust system again fails within 10 months of fitting, all of which your area manager has suggested that the standard of workmanship was to "an acceptable standard" and Strathclyde Tyres are not prepared to replace the defective rear section of exhaust unless I pay for it - in addition to the costs already incurred by me resulting from your mechanics/fitters having carried out the initial work to my car in what the independent engineer describes, all as previously noted, as a "poor - (spurious!)" fashion!

Had new tyres fitted to my car, good price and really friendly quick service, will be back again

I needed 2 tyres and a MOT for my BMW.
Was quoted crazy prices from the national chains, and tried Strathclyde. Two tyres with an accident damage guarantee and a MOT- great price.
Service was very efficient & professional, and gave me discount voucher for my next visits.

i required 2 tyres for my car phone around a few companies and got a good price from strathclyde tyres in Kilmarnock service from when I arrived free coffee had wifi so I could use I was there less than half an hour from start to finish and got my car booked in for an mot at same time with a discount which is due in September good service all round I will be back

My car was in for an mot and I was told it would be better to sell it as it was going to cost £374 to fix it so I went to 4 other mot stations and my car was passed with no problems at all no work had to be done to my car needless to say I will not be back to be ripped off this used to be a fantastic garage great staff of witch some are still there and I trusted them but not now

I have gone to Johnstone and Kilmarnock branches for an MOT on two different cars. Both times they told me I needed work done which was not true. Once they said I needed the tracking adjusted after a repair of something that did not affect the tracking, and I got a refund when I complained. The next time I bought the parts they told me I needed and went to fit them myself, only to find that the droplink was fine. When I asked them about it they said it was "just a recommendation" - WHY?
The MOT deal would have been a good price BUT! They advertise that they do not inflate the price, that's true, but it seems they do inflate the size of the job.

Absolute disgrace this company, over charging for parts and labour. Also trying to replace parts that didn't need done, after a second opinion from another mechanic. Would not recommend them to anyone wanting a trustworthy garage.

Excellent service .Had a tyre warning on car and a friend had recommended this company. Took car to their Johnstone depot where car checked ,did need one new tyre ,. They fitted tyre , checked pressure and treads on other tyres and did a realignment too. Back on the road feeling safe and secure in under an hour and I was well happy with the price too .As Arnie says I'll be back !!

Put my car in for its first service today.Being a driver for only a few months,and never been in a garage let alone know what to when a car needs service I would like to give my thanks to the staff in Kilmarnock branch for making me feel at ease.Not only did they explain what was to be done to my car they didn't treat me like some stupid woman.All in all, a day that I was dreading turned out to be not as bad as I thought..and not as expensive either..so once again a big thanks to all at STS.

Had car in for its MOT at another garage who were quoting MOT for £20.They failed my 4 year old car and quoted £220 for brakes.
I decided to get second opinion at Strathclyde Tyre Service. £35 for MOT and no failure. Tested my brakes and passed with flying colours. Great service and friendly staff......they even dropped me off at work so I could MOT done during the week. Brilliant, I will definitely use them again!

I had all four tyres replaced over a few months and staff could not do enounced for me. Always had a smilke and cheery when ever I called in or phoned.

I have used Strathclyde Tyres for many years, and have found both the office staff and work force to be very courteous and helpful, Intend using them soon for my usual MOT and winter check

I got a flat roadside and I can't change a tyre!! These guys were recommended to me and came out and changed my tyre. Guy was lovely, and couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended. Great price too, will be going back to them to replace the spare!
