Avoid service

Studio Figura Brisbane is a massive disappointment. Behind the nice-looking facade lies a completely unprofessional and unhygienic business.
​The hygiene standards here are nonexistent. I watched them fail to change towels, pillowcases, or protective mats between clients in the fat cavitation and EMS rooms. The machines are not wiped down after use, which is unacceptable by Australian standards. The staff are untrained, and getting a hold of them on the phone is near impossible.
​When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund, management refused and tried to pressure me into continuing. They completely ignored the fact that my GP advised me to stop. Even worse, they tried to give me medical advice regarding my thyroid condition (where I am currently going through cancer screening). They arrogantly dismissed my condition, claiming it was safe to continue just to protect their bottom line. They have zero medical knowledge yet play with people's health.
​They promise the world in their ads, but they do not provide a safe or professional service. Do not trust them with your body. Save your money and go somewhere that actually prioritises consumer safety over quick cash.

Dishonest, poorly equipped & disorganised

These people have no business standards or ethics.

The suite has a nice feel but their equipment has been out of order for *years*, they haven't been able to retain staff so bookings suffer, the staff they do have are ill-trained and unqualified even to sell their packages.

Every time I showed up for a booked appointment, I waited 30-45 minutes while clients and staff swanned around treating it like a lounge room; at one stage I ran into the owner - a Nordic trust fund baby who's never had to manage her time - who informed me that my water retention made their services inappropriate. She gave me some recommendations to resolve it: a several month process, but didn't pause the package and her business manager (after 3-5 months of my unsuccessfully attempting to make contact) refused any reasonable accommodations.
In short if you can find a single person that cares about being fit for service then they're either too disorganised or too money hungry and entitled to pass on the intel.

I can see they've done a review recruitment drive on Google maps recently but the fact remains that they do not know or have any interest to learn what they're doing in business management, customer experience or even administration.

They've got strengths in branding, advertising and equipment selection (if they could keep them maintained or working) and if you have a few grand to throw at a pretense of self-care then they'll do.
But don't expect any of their treatments to actually work, to be competently administered, or even to be appropriate for you.
