Just an awful experience

Logged in no problem. Exited the site and 10 minutes later when I tried to log back in it wouldn’t let me. This seems to happen on a regular basis. A truly awful site

STV PLAYER SHOCKING …

So have been watching a series 2 episodes per programme no problem until tried to watch 3rd series. Keeps say I need to check Internet connection etc absolutely nothing wrong with this I can watch other apps no problem. This has happened before but only with STV Player - need to look into this as a matter of urgency.

Waste of time and effort!

Will not play anything at all. Samsung tv come up with error R-1, firesticks and LG tv error code 8. I went through the routines they give in support, but at the end of the day they are blaming my IP provider. Funny how it all worked up until last week. Even using my 5G mobile data it did not work. I think they need to get their house in order before they blame others. Not worth the effort to download. Removed from all my devices.

Just dreadful

Just dreadful, constant buffering, and then you have to restart several times to also watch the picture degrade with more buffering. Is this a deliberate ploy by STV to up the viewing stats on adverts. How can a player be this poor, close it down.

This service is total shite

This service is total shite, get a grip STV. It freezes, it buffers and a single advert plays multiple times. Get this mess sorted out STV or we’re all off to ITVX or better still BBC iplayer.

I'm done with this app

I'm done with this app. Every pause or rewind causes you to have to sit through adverts you've already been subjected to. I've no problem with ads generally, such as on Prime or other streamers where the frequency and duration of them is reasonable but this is ridiculous, exacerbated by the drop-outs and buffering on STV. Now gonna see how to delete it from all our TVs.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage

We basically no longer use the app to watch anything. It doesn’t continue where you left off. If you try to return to where you were - queue 12 mins of adverts.

If we don’t record stv from live tv - we just don’t bother at all.

Shame!

Ive paid the subscription on my iPad

Ive paid the subscription on my iPad, but the firestick and my tv stv apps are completely different, when I log into each one they are all different, and don't show what I've watched on my iPad, they don't even have some of the shows I've watched on my iPad

I was half way through watching a drama…

I was half way through watching a drama called Exile with John Simm the after one episode it froze and I’m now unable to see the rest it’s nothing to do with the internet. On the app now instead of programs rating 1 to 10 I only have 1 and 4

When did STV become worse than the…

When did STV become worse than the biased bbc? I don't watch bbc because I disaprove of their brainwashing propoganda, but I do try to catch up on Scottish news on the stv player, however if it isn't Colin Mackay deriding the first minister, it's reporters lambasting other SNP politicans on what they percieve to be their failings. I'm sick of it guess I'll just have to watch Sky new for world events.

MINUS stars are not possible

MINUS stars are not possible and neither is NO star, which is the maximum they deserve.
(Why are there no thunderclouds ⛈ or angry faces 🤬included in the grading scale?)
They take monthly payments from me and say it is not them.
The only company fitting the bank information is them!

AVOID

had a terrible experience with customer service at this company. Money was unexpectedly withdrawn from my account, and when I contacted customer support for clarification, they struggled to locate my account. After I mentioned involving my bank, they finally acknowledged the issue and claimed I had signed up for a free trial, which I did not.

When I requested a cancellation and refund, they refused, even after I insisted that I never wanted the membership. So I told the company I would go to my bank and ask for them to interview and their response was unprofessional, simply stating they would wait to hear from my bank.

Overall, this company has poor selection and awful customer service,Other streaming platforms, like Netflix and Amazon Prime, have refunded me without issue in similar situations. I strongly advise avoiding this company.

STV are NOT Scottish

STV are NOT a Scottish TV company. I dont watch state broadcaster bbc but to come home and switch on for the STV News and find yet again that I am supposed to endure Spain v England womens football live. No chance. All 'Scottish' programs cancelled. I wrote to STV on a similar previous experience and received a simple replay stating they were consticted by the ITV network and have to show all England games in Scotland. What garbage this channel is.
