An absolute hostage situation. I tried to make two changes on my policy and it took hours and attempts over three days. Suncorp phone number leads to a labyrinth of options and then it hangs up on me... See more

Sudden locking of my business account
Sudden locking of my business account. This account has been active for more than 18 years, and I have received no explanation as to why access has been restricted.
I have made several phone calls in an attempt to resolve the issue, but I have been transferred repeatedly between departments without any answers. I was advised that I would receive a return phone call, yet after 4.5 hours I have still not been contacted.
This situation is unacceptable and is causing significant disruption to my business.
Diabolical Insurance Company
Do not ever waste our time with Suncorp, the worst Insurance Company I have ever dealt with. One star is too much for these incompotent idiots. Have an accident, they take your excess payment then they do not give a toss about you. Despite call to the most useless call centre (wherever that is, absolute waste of time) I have ever had the displeasure to deal with, they are worse than useless. Spend 40mins with them on the phone, 30mins of that is on hold. Promise you the customer experience will be fantastic. What a lot of crap. Had to get my car towed to a yard, after nearly three weeks it's still there. Absolute joke, all you get are excuses and how it will be resolved. On the phone on hold again to this waste of time call centre. been waiting 20mins listening to their terrible music.
Useless customer service speak to you…
Useless customer service speak to you arrogantly even got sworn at
Suncorp
Suncorp offers prompt and professional service, making insurance and banking straightforward and stress-free. Their friendly staff and easy-to-use digital platforms ensure claims and transactions are handled quickly and efficiently.
Suncorp road side assist.
Thought I was protected with road side assist by Suncorp. But it was the worst experience I have ever had. I was in the middle of nowhere broken down on flinders highway mingela rang to organise a tow truck took over a hour to even get one sent and I was told so many different outcomes they could do. I informed them I had no idea what was happening still when I got off the phone I had no idea what was going on. They are u professional and unreliable. It was close to dark and I was by myself being young never have I felt so let down. They are not safe to use and inform u off what ur entitled to
The worst insurance ive ever had
The worst insurance ive ever had. More than 2 months for a claim, that moved the car without telling me the details and address of the new place. I've asked a damage report and had no answers. I've ask for my plate with more than 6 months left and had no answers. The worst insurance ever
Horrible online and phone service
They offered good interest rates which is why I switched.
I understand the trade offs between this and more traditional banks
However the survey Cee is ridiculously bad.
The integration with QuickBooks is rudimentary; each time an OTP is required. The first attempt always fails
I signed up for electronic statements, yet for more than 12 months I got none. No paper ones either.
Moved house; tried to change address; kept getting a failed message. No local branch existent. One fine day, log on and it’s updated. No explanations to complaint and no offer to provide any of the missing statements.
Finally, trying to close the account was like pulling hens teeth.
Needed a call centre operator, an ID specialist and then the CC operator again. Overall 27 mins. Have you heard of OTP? What’s the Suncorp secure app for if not this??
The operator kept offering to make my account more s secure even though I requested a closure. At the end I asked for an option to leave feedback: she said go to our website.
Thanks, but no thanks
DO NOT USE THIS BANK
DO NOT USE THIS BANK! Tried to transfer a large amount out of my account to my CBA account and they put it on hold for 24hrs!! You don't have access to your own money even if you need it urgently!! A total joke!!!!! Have been on the phone now for 23 minutes and still waiting on something to happen!!
Well I came here to warn people at how…
Well I came here to warn people at how poor this bank is and how poorly trained the staff are, but given the extremely low rating, it seems people beat me to it and given the dates of these reviews the management really don't care as nothing is improving.
Would not recommend Suncorp for landlords insurance
Would not recommend Suncorp for landlords insurance. I have no prior history of claims over a 10 year period. i put in a claim for malicious damage. The tenants had been asked to vacate as had a dangerous dog, with bites to tradesperson. They left holes punched in several walls and dog faeces on the carpet....this had never before been noted during their 4-5 year tenancy.
Suncorp claimed it didn't meet the definition of malicious acts. Instead they felt that the damages were 'consistent with disregard, neglect, carelessness, use of excessive force, lack of due care, or poor housekeeping'. Seriously?...
No longer have trust in Suncorp for fairness or common sense...
Didn't send out a new card
Didn't send out a new card. Called three times. Eventually sent out a card to the wrong account. Took 6 weeks to eventually get the card. Worst customer service at any bank ever.
Avoid their insurance at all costs!
Avoid their insurance at all costs!! They will do anything to avoid paying you or make excess so high it doesn't make it viable to make a claim or increased premiums. Look elsewhere.
Frankly, not responding knowing when my policy is due only adds to what has been a deeply frustrating and financially damaging experience.
This email isn't specifically pointed towards you, but I must express how I feel. So I'm saying this to Suncorp and not you as a person.
Let’s go over this again:
The previous tenants trashed the place, stole multiple items, and left us with a serious mess. Yet Suncorp refused to cover it—writing it off as "wear and tear" and "human behaviour"? This is ridiculous. If this was a hotel or airbnb, every single stolen or damaged item would have been replaced.
Now with this new claim, where there's confirmed water damage, your process is once again set up to leave me with the bill. This time it’s because the repair costs are apparently less than the $2,000 excess—a figure I’m convinced has been strategically inflated so most water damage claims fall just under it. It’s manipulative and disgraceful. What about the mould in the walls now which under your policy has to be fixed as part of the disclosure and standard of the house.
On top of that, I’ve looked into Ambrose Construct Group—your so-called independent repairer. Let’s be honest: they’re not independent. They're a preferred contractor of Suncorp, publicly linked to your team, regularly hosting your assessors, and very clearly dependent on your ongoing business.
This creates a clear conflict of interest:
They have every reason to downplay damage or reduce scope to keep your costs low.
Their survival depends on keeping insurers like Suncorp happy.
You, in turn, get to distance yourself from their decisions while benefiting from their narrowed reports.
So while you hide behind third-party “assessments,” your entire model is set up to avoid paying out, plain and simple. You get plausible deniability while customers like me wear over $20,000 in damage.
What is the point of this insurance product?
It hasn’t protected me from theft.
It hasn’t protected me from damage.
It’s only protected your company’s bottom line.
I’ll be cancelling all my policies with Suncorp—home, contents, and anything else. Your business model is built on fine print, denial strategies, and what looks a lot like intentionally priced-out excess structures.
You’ve lost my trust. Completely.
Could Use More Empathy and Faster Responses
I had to make a claim with Suncorp Home & Contents Insurance after some damage to my place, and honestly, the customer service left a lot to be desired. When you’re already stressed out, the last thing you need is slow replies and representatives who don’t seem to really get what you’re going through - or care.
The responses took longer than I expected, and I often wished someone on the other end would be a little kinder and more understanding. A quick message or just a bit of empathy would have made a huge difference during a really tough time.
As a bank
As a bank, they let people take money out off your account and then say there's nothing they can do, absolutely disgusting public service , don't recommend at all
never again
Had an accident in January had to wait 2 months before they were able to have my car in to repair it. When repairs finally got done on my 4x4 through their repairer had to drive the car over an hour away to have it done and they left bolts loose on bullbar, stripped screws in places so I couldn’t remove accessories and wires cut and not reconnected leaving my spotlights no longer working. If you have a four wheel drive with accessories do not let them repair it if you can avoid it!

Worst bank ever - ask your broker not to recommend
There are double transactions showing up on the credit card transactions online, no refunds showing until you call up and ask them why, unexplained interest charges when you already transferred more than enough funds for repayment and other undisclosed fees. I regret having my broker recommend Suncorp to me. Please do not let your broker persuade you to join Suncorp. They draw you in with low interest rates but their interest rates goes up significantly after a few months. Their IT and overall technological system is outdated and can not be trusted to provide a safe and secure transaction.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST service
THE ABSOLUTE WORST service! My car needed to be towed and I was covered for 20 kms- the mechanic I needed as its an Italian car was 30kms and despite being with suncorp for years, they outright refused to tow the extra 10kms and the supposed manager was a total A****** W ATTITUDE and lacked any customer service!
Last year they also refused to send roadside assistance despite paying for
It as I was living on kangaroo island and while they knew that was my address, it was only when I needed assistance they said they do not cover islands!
Always an issue with them and the staff is rude and unhelpful! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Beware Suncorp
I haven’t been with Suncorp for 30yrs and I received a letter from them updating their privacy policy. I was angered that after all this time they still had my information. 30yrs! So I rang and asked them why they can have it for so long and that I wanted my information removed. After about an hour of back and forth with the guy asking several different departments I was politely told they can’t delete my information. I asked why and all I received was they can’t. So, you can imagine how angry I was and I still don’t understand why they can’t delete it so I’ve sent an email to the ACCC about it. This is about the 4th company that has done this but this is the only company that won’t delete your information. So beware SUNCORP!!! HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH THEM WHATSOEVER!!! You’re information isn’t safe!!
Traumatic Experience Deadly
My daughter died and police had her car towed and impounded.
Suncorp staff member stated there was no policy.
I knew this was wrong but under such traumatic circumstances I paid toget my daughters car and belongings.
This was last week of April 2025.
Here on May 28th 2025 as her executive I recieve her bank statements to find Suncorp took payments right up to last week May 15th 2025.
I already insured it with Racq.
Never never trust Suncorp
