Amazing Service which was first class

Just wanted to say that after many weeks of looking for sunglasses and going into Sunglasses Hut Innaloo, the girls Sylvia and Izzy were absolutely amazing and showed such patience to ensure I was completely satisfied with my choice of sunglasses. A huge thank you to the girls for their amazing customer service. Thank you so much.

Very disappointed in Sunglass Hut

Very disappointed that Sunglasses Hut don’t offer a refund as a goodwill gesture to their customers especially when bought as a Christmas gift. (Most retail outlets will offer a refund with receipt during the Christmas period)
I was given a pair of sunglasses as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately I cannot wear these glasses as I have to wear prescription sunglasses. Tried to return said glasses for a refund to be told not their policy to refund and they can only exchange or give store credit! Obviously no good to me whatsoever.
Considering these were a gift , which is no different from buying unseen online (seems you offer refunds for online purchases)but not if you buy in person from your outlets.
I now have a gift worth $200 that I have absolutely no use for. Shame on you Sunglass Hut for not valuing and respecting your customers.

Was promised delivery 2-4 days after …

Was promised delivery 2-4 days after order.
After escalating on day of supposed delivery was informed that it was delayed and I would be contacted an provided an update
Call the morning of the next day and was given the same response

Called again that afternoon, 5 hours later, and told it was my fault as I had ordered after 11am and the disclaimer said that orders after this time would be delayed.
I challenged this as I had not seen the disclaimer and in fact had received an email from sunglass hut at 6:31 am confirming my order nearly 4.5 hours before the deadline they were stating I did not meet

Do not believe there timelines an be prepared to continually chase them in hope of a delivery

I purchased a gift card and came back…

I purchased a gift card and came back the same day for a refund because my wife had already bought 2 pair of glasses from them that week. They werent able to do anything for me . Very bad service and very displeased with this company. Will not be shopping here ever!!!!

“Sunglass Hut Online completely wasted…

“Sunglass Hut Online completely wasted my time. They advertised a promo code on their site, and when I called, the first representative confirmed it would work. I called back to place the order and the second rep suddenly denied it. An hour of back-and-forth for nothing. I returned the brand-new sunglasses I had just bought and won’t be doing business with them again. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.”

Got a pair of Oakley's as a gift

Got a pair of Oakley's as a gift. Opened them up, they are cool but the lenses are green (I am not a leprechaun) not into them... But I figure NBD they are brand new, still have the box, it's Christmas... No problem, go to the store, do a gift exchange, grab black ones, NP. Yeah no, no receipt no exchange. Stupid. Call customer service, they keep banker hours and they are no help. They are obviously brand new, in the box, their tags.... It's Christmas who gives a gift with receipt?
Ridiculous Corpo policies, for overpriced slop made by the same Italian conglomerate that makes $5 Walmart glasses. Biggest scam ever 100% would never buy anything here. You think they make you look cool? You look like a sucker!

Shady Refund Policies for Damaged Items

Sunglass Hut seems to think it's okay to make up its own refund policy with zero consideration for Australian Consumer laws. Poor stock levels in stores where they often try to sell you the display model at full price. I was unable to get a refund on an expensive product which was chipped, sharp, and dangerous to wear despite being "new in box".

Was forced a gift card and told to order a replacement myself online, and it arrived damaged again. They then refused to refund and tried to force another gift card on me. Online customer service is worse, as they just ignore you because it's inconvenient for them. I had to follow up constantly after being ignored for over a week. It's like talking to a bot, because it feels like they just scan key words and respond selectively. It's either that or the staff they employ on customer service lack the English comprehensive skills of a grade schooler.

0/10, do not engage with this business. Especially their online store, it'll ship from a Chinese warehouse despite claiming to be 'in-stock'. Shop from somewhere with a more honest return policy, or just do without it, it's not worth the hassle.

Delayed order and no updated ETA

I placed an order with a promised delivery timeframe of 2–4 business days. It has now passed that timeframe, and customer support was unable to provide a clear updated ETA. The only explanation given was “high demand,” but this information was not provided at the time of purchase — only after the delivery window had already expired.

I don’t want to cancel my order because I want the product, but the lack of communication and transparency has been disappointing. I expected clearer updates or a realistic new delivery estimate. Still waiting for an accurate response from the company.

Item not received and terrible customer service due to lack of any contact

This review is to warn others not to purchase from SunglassesHut. I placed an order over a week ago and has yet to receive it, despite it being scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Multiple attempts to contact Sunglasses and the delivery company they use;I have been unsuccessful. The only response has been automated messages indicating someone will be in touch, from their webpage: yet nothing comes about. I hope this review prompts a response, as I have not received the item and cannot get any assistance or answers. Their customer service is deplorable; they take your money and then disappear.

Website broke down at checkout and yet…

Website broke down at checkout and yet still charged me causing a duplicate order. Customer serivce hours are ridiculous and they are unwilling to provide information or do anything to help. They claimed to raise an urgent issue to cancel my duplicate order and provide an update by the end of the day. I then chased it up and they said I would hear first thing tomorrow morning but they refused to tell me whether anything in this urgent request had been actioned and they would be in touch. I heard nothing apart from an email from Evri saying my order was out for delivery. 2 days later they finally sent a crap half an apology when the effectively noticed they had not bothered to look into this "urgent" request. Also their returns procedure on their website is full of bugs and makes it incredibly unclear. It states the parcel will be picked up but does not offer a pick of dates or times in order to arrange this. In the end I decided to see if I can just drop it off at UPS point as this meant I didn't have to sit at home waiting everyday till they turn up.

Placed order over 2 weeks ago got lost/stolen been investigating for longer than they stated now without gift and money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM they are liars stay clear. Will be looking at this legally now. Have reported this to governing bodies as it seems they are known for this behaviour.

Concerning changes

This is in relation to the outlet store of sunglass Hut at outlet mall Dubai. Given it's an outlet, it's distressing to see that prices over the recent past have been hiked up rather than marked down, in particular of some older pieces that I was eyeing. Also the discounts in general have been become less attractive.

Luis the store manager at Sunhunt edinburgh st James quarter is absoutely a professional with a top class customer care support. He went beyond my expectations and truly essembles a quality of a 5 star service. Thank you Luis Im so pleased with my glasses.

Awful Customer Service and No Response…

Awful Customer Service and No Response to Formal Complaint

I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with Sunglass Hut. After an issue with my order, I contacted them multiple times and received no replies at all — not to my emails, not to my follow-up messages, and not even to my formal complaint, which they completely ignored.

The lack of communication is shocking for a company of this size. I’ve been left with no support, no resolution, and no acknowledgement whatsoever despite giving them plenty of time to respond. Customer service has been absolutely unacceptable, and I’ve had to escalate the issue myself because they refused to engage.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering. Companies shouldn’t take people’s money and then ignore them when something goes wrong.

Received someone else’s returned items

I ordered some sunglasses online and paid extra for gift wrap (a black Sunglass hut box) which comes with a personalised note. The gift wrap box arrived looking like someone had already torn it apart, the gift note was someone else’s and the sunglasses inside had an extremely loose arm on one side compared to the other. The website only allowed a return without gaining a refund for the gift wrap. I contacted customer service for a full replacement which they said wasn’t possible & my only way to get the gift wrap, note and glasses again was to return everything and reorder. I said I wanted to ensure I was refunded the gift wrap but would not be reordering. They advised I would get a full refund, sent me a return label and a 30% off voucher. I returned the items to find they would then only refund the sunglasses and not the gift wrap (so effectively they have stolen £4.99 from me as I was most clear I wanted the whole lot refunded). I tried to put a claim in for the £4.99 and so far have failed. To return the items I had to print a label at my own expense, then drive 5 miles to my nearest UPS point as there isn’t one near to me (again, at my own expense). Thought I’d check out the 30% code they sent just for fun… lo and behold, it doesn’t work. It lists all the brands it doesn’t work on and the brand I tried isn’t on that list, but the code did absolutely nothing. So to summarise, my online order turned out to be someone else’s return, and i have ended up paying out money to end up with absolutely nothing. Won’t be purchasing online from them again. Just a simple refund of the gift wrap as I asked and I wouldn’t be writing this at all. But I can’t ignore the entire farce and not warn others.

UPDATE: Since posting this, and putting in a claim through Klarna, I have received my full refund.
