WORST PLACE TO WORK

Absolute worst place to possibly work for. Staff love drama will make anything and everything a scene definitely feels like a school ground instead of a place of work. Managers are awful will always make you do way too many hours even if you don't want them. Would definitely not advise anyone to work for them unless they want a terrible work experience. by the way this is in the Swansea branch.

Abrupt Security Guard

Abrupt Security Guard stopped me inside with my 7 month old baby and said I was not allowed to be there because I had KFC in my pram. I was not planning to eat it but to get my friend who was inside.. he didn’t have to be so rude.. I’m a women with a baby what harm am I gonna do! His tone of voice and body language was if he was talking to a man who looked threatening.. I told him I had no idea that was the rule.. That’s the first time I’ve seen this security guard at this place before!
I then told him I’m informing my friend he got me to repeat myself as if he didnt listen so then I waited outside for them.

The man just had to speak to me in a nice way, politeness goes along way and I wouldnt have left the place with having an anxiety!

Terrible experience

Terrible experience.
The hippo toy was broken and when playing the claw game the machine simply broke when carrying a penguin plushie. When we notified a staff, they only gave a single pound back and denied to give us the toy or the whole amount of attempts back. I particularly don't care but it would destroy a kid's heart.
It was very unprofessional. I'm really disappointed with the place. I hope the service is better for bowling.

Was told "We can't justify staying open for you."

Booked on the website for the Merthyr Tydfil superbowl for 10pm & 10:30pm. When we arrived at 10pm we had staff approach us saying we needed to leave as they're now closing. Confused me and my friends said we've booked 2 games and the website stated (And states to this day) that they are open until midnight. The worker walks off to the back and told us to wait.

Shortly after we had who I assume was the management on duty come out and his first words were, "Hey guys, we can't justify staying open for you." then offered to move our booking to the next Tuesday however this was the one rare day me and my friends had aligning days off so we refused this and questioned if I was able to get a refund which the staff did say was fine and if I would like cash or card refund. As I couldn't trust what information was written I didn't want to risk a card refund with no proof of it so I took the cash option. I then questioned if we are able to get the £2 Tuesday deal by coming into store as each time-slot is only able to have 1 booking each despite there being 12-14 lanes? The staff did say he has my name and is in next Tuesday and if we were to come in he would allow the deal in-store despite it being an online deal for the mix-up.

All in all the staff did all they could with what they have and it was clear the powers above were pushing pressure on the staff to close early. Definitely advise you change your website however as false advertising is a serious case for those who wish to pursue it further one day.

Beware this morally reprehensible company. We had to cancel our booking 48 hours in advance due to the storms making it impossible to get there. No refund was offered despite explaining the situation to a very understanding Manager. They doubtless managed to sell our spot (as they said it would be full if we didn't book) so they raked in double the money. A very grubby way to do business.

Tried to book a laser nation party for my son. Online it says £10 each and a minimum of 10 guests. Apart from when you call it’s £250 to book the whole place! The manager and member of staff need training in customer service. They didn’t mute there end and I overheard the conversation apparently the cleaners need to come in early as the place is minging! Not my words. I pointed this out and then they hung up on me. Safe to say won’t ever visit this place.

Avoid the Ipswich branch

I would love to give this company a 5 star, but due to the rude and unprofessional manager at the Ipswich branch, they only get 1 star, 13/11/2021 at 2pm, the manager on duty was very rude to me and my wife when we had an issue with the food, we ordered 2 classic cheese hotdogs and were given chili slop on a hotdog, the counter staff were helpful and trying to resolve the issue, but the manager on duty, oh no, he was rude, I explained the situation to him and he didn't want to listen.
I explained that we ordered classic and we got a chili cheese, I got given a huffy response "well that's our cheese sauce! It has a kick to it!" So I politely said that it doesn't say that it's got chili in it, I pointed out that you can see chili flakes, I requested that since it wasn't advertised as having chili in it that could I have it replaced with a plain one, again, a rude and snappy response, "well your gonna have to buy another one then!"
It was at this point I realised, he didn't want to be there, neither did he care about the customers, not the sort of person who should go anywhere near public, I was polite the entire time, made us leave early being spoken down to, so bottom line, avoid the Ipswich brand with a mile long pole unless you like being treated like dirt

But I will leave on a high note, the Norwich branch, 5 star everytime, very polite and strong team, makes our visit each and everytime a good one.

Conclusion
Norwich branch 5 star
Ipswich brand 0 star
Solution, new manager

I had a massive problem last year with…

I had a massive problem last year with Super Bowl St. Helens. The booking system was down, I complained and was given short shrift. I took out a further complaint and was promised a family pass by a guy called George. Nothing materialised and I complained again and spoke to him and this time he promised my family free bowling for a month and vouchers for free food. He thought I'd forgotten about it! Well he's been told to either put this right to my satisfaction or I WILL take them through the Small Claims court. I've had some great success lately using this method. Watch this space. I promise you I'm really up for this fight.

I rang to see if the St

I rang to see if the St. Helens branch was open, and was pleased to hear That it was. My son absolutely loves bowling. I spoke to a lady over the phone who told me book online which I did, I must say the website is poor, as it kept taking me off the site. I booked two games for two people, myself and my son, I was so pleased that it was only £10, And the lady told me because I worked for the NHS some drinks were free, bonus! When we arrived I got told that it hadn’t booked Me on even though I had a booking reference and when I booked this I had saved it to my “books” and I had booking confirmation!
I was told that there was a lane free At 12.30 (the time I was booked on) but I’d have to pay full price, even though I’d already paid! At this point I asked to speak to the manager, an obnoxious man came over named Danny, and told me that I hadn’t received an email so I couldn’t use the facilities, I showed him my booking confirmation the money that had been taken out off my bank! He wasn’t listening to me! His attitude was disgusting, haven’t we just been through covid and you would think you’d need all the business you can, and I’m presuming that you would of lost a lot of business! I will never ever say foot in this establishment and I urge other people not too! You seriously don’t deserve custom

DO NOT WORK OR VISIT HERE

Worked in the Ipswich branch for a short while. At first 4 managers, only one actually knows what they are doing.
The place is a joke, no training, the cleanliness is worse than poor. some of the staff are lazy because the managers can't bothered to train or keep an eye on the staff.
Someone from Head office comes down at least once a week because the place is run so badly. Staff are treated badly for minimum wage. The bowling lanes break down all the time and no one cares. DO NOT WORK HERE.
The male manager is only interested in going out with the staff and smoking weed. This was film and out on the company's WhatsApp group. He can't do the job he is paid for and always turns up late. One of the female managers had her own catering company, obviously that did well which is why she works at Super bowl and can't get the food ordering correct. The only boy in the kitchen doesn't clean it and moans about cooking. But the managers say nothing and let him get away with it. Food when ready is left in the window for ages to go cold before being served. It FAILED it's last 4 inspections.

Paid for 2 games of bowling and fined £100 for using Superbowl's car park

Fined £100 for using their car park at the Macclesfield Superbowl even though we provided a credit card statement showing we had used the Superbowl on that date. Will not be visiting again or holding any more children's parties here as we have in the past. Wasn't told about the need to enter registration details and like many others (see Google reviews) received a £100 fine. Clearly a scam. Provided a credit card statement to show we paid for 2 games of bowling but still told we needed to pay £15 or be taken to court and if we objected it would go up to £100 again! Have visited many times before and not had to enter reg details. Why would anyone park there if they weren't using the Superbowl as there is a massive free car park just yards away? It was dark when we arrived and didn't see any signage nor did any staff member inform us of the need to enter reg. details. Given the location of where the Superbowl is, the majority of people going there would need to use the car park.
