Bought a HP 15-AB269SA Laptop back in Oct 16 so its out of warranty. Motherboard failed already. Have just rung as I can't find a replacement motherboard anywhere and they say they don't stock motherboards
for laptops so basically it renders a £300 laptop useless in less than 6 months.
My Advice shop elsewhere so that you have the technical and spares support that you should get. It may cost a bit more but in the long run your better off. Not helpful when rung just said buy one on off ebay.
Great considering someone has removed the label off the Motherboard so theres no part number for a replacement. Oh and HP don't offer support or spares for these refurbished Laptops regardless of what they say when selling it to you.

Will never use SVP again
I bought a laptop from SVP in April and it developed a fault and would not start up in June. As it was within the 3 month warranty period they replaced it. This was the beginning of July. The replacement developed a fault in September - I was abroad and could not return it until October but when I contacted SVP I was told the laptop was out of warranty but they would see what they could do. I returned the laptop and suggested that as neither laptop lasted 3 months this was not satisfactory. I have just been notified that my laptop reached them damaged and that I had not packed it well enough! It had been packed in the same way as when I returned it before. I am really regretting getting a laptop from SVP and would never trust them again.

Goods not delivered, no way to contact them
Having ordered from SVP several times over the past 10 years without a problem I ordered again at the beginning of April. Despite several EMails and attempted phone calls I have still not received the goods or been able to contact SVP.
I have tried to find postal address (no longer on their website) to send a registered delivery letter. According to Companies House it is registered at 111 EDMUND STREET BIRMINGHAM B3 2HJ - along with numerous other companies, so it would seem its just a postal front address.
Then I saw its status at Companies House:-

Its accounts and filings are also well overdue. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as to whether its a good idea to order from them. Im off to contact my credit card company...
Shockingly bad
They have sent me faulty goods and will not answer emails , has been going on for months. If you do use them make sure you use paypal or credit card so that you have extra cover, I sadly did not....
End of an era...
I have used SVP for years but I have now decided, never again. Ordered a kids' tablet and opted for the free delivery. After two weeks, still no sign of it. The contact form on the site doesn't work and the customer care email address, which I have emailed twice now, goes unanswered. So, they have my money and I have no product and I have no way to get in touch, so I have been forced to start a PayPal dispute.
Will not deal with again
I have placed and order for 100 packs of photo paper several times over the last 6 months. On 3 of those occasions I was send the wrong stock which I had no choice but to use as I had run out of my usual stock. On one occasion I got a refund for the difference as the stock they sent me was cheaper. My last order came 2 weeks ago and again it was the wrong stock. I sent an email to say I wanted a refund for the difference and as they couldn't manage to send the actual stock that I order I will have to look for another supplier. Haven't heard from them since and at this rate I don't expect to get my refund. I will never deal with them again. I wouldn't normally order from a business with no phone number showing on their website but their prices were very good and I that swayed me. I can't run a business with such an unreliable supplier and have since found another supplier.

Bought a Kindle which turned out to be registered as stolen, cue lots of dragging of feet and then eventually denial of a refund.

I bought a selfie stick and it was faulty, got in touch with svp .they said they could refund me or send a replacement ,i said ok for replacement, i have sent four replys a week ago and they haven't replied to any of them,this is very bad customer service,

I ordered a refurbished IPad from this company. It wasn't to my expectations, so I returned it the next day.

Used to be reliable - now useless
I have ordered from ukdvdr (now svp) for years and I placed an order for blank media and paid for next day delivery I have done in the past. Their website shows the items shipped and the courier showed it arriving at Edinburgh, however, the next morning I receive a text from the courier saying that nothing was received and the parcel has not arrived for delivery. I have tried emailing, raising support tickets and trying to locate a telephone number without success. Now I am without my cash and without the items I required to complete a job. I will certainly not be using these people again.

Ordered a refurbished tablet and paid for next day delivery, on receipt, the tablet was badly scratched and had lower memory than advertised.
Contacted customer support and had a new tablet eventually delivered, this one was worse than the first.
Both tablets were definitely not as described, made a paypal claim against the company and over a month later they cannot be even bothered to collect the tablet from the courier that they arranged to collect the tablet.
There is no phone number to contact the company, so you are at the mercy of possibly being one of the lucky ones that they decide to answer.
Am now at the end of my patience, so off to the small claims court, this way perhaps they will start treating their customers with more gratitude after they have to pay for my court costs as well.
Will definitely not be using this shoddy excuse for a company that do not have the decency to provide even a contact number when you do have a problem.
Worst Company Ever

Cannot deliver what they advertise, dishonest, awful customer service.
Advertised a Dual core 7" Android tablet for £30 (refurb). Purchased one, waited a month, no sign of product or communication from company. Rang customer services asked what was going on and was told 100's of these items "had been lost in the post". So when I asked why I had not been contacted to be told of this (what I believe fictitious) loss of 100's of tablet devices by the postage company, they said "we were waiting for customers to contact us" (ukdvdr.co.uk/svp.co.uk) about the problem. The reasoning I can only guess at behind this would be so that if some customers had received the item, they couldn't lie and say that they had not to receive another device? Great trust in the customer. Offered me a replacement device which was no where near the standard of the original device, and wanted to keep the same amount of money!? Clowns. So all in all, cannot deliver what they advertise, dishonest, awful customer service. Just glad that I used Paypal so that I could receive my money back without a fight. If I had not, I am certain it would have been a challenge. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I never leave reviews of companies but felt I had to warn people not to waste their precious time and money dealing with these people. Go elsewhere even if it costs more, for piece of mind.
