Fraudulent company
This company preys on vulnerable students by the means of making them sign up to contracts removing many of their rights. Their employees are two faced and ultimately have their own interests at heart, they disregard their customers, LIE to their customers and also cannot spell customers names correctly on LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENTS. Proof of their lying fraudulent nature is sirin edens review (THE ONLY POSITIVE REVIEW) as she is an employee of the company. If swanletting would like to respond to this, I'd love to hear their response. If they deny this, it is only testament to the basis of their business.
Crooked Cowboy Company
The first thing I’d like to say is that the single reviewer here who gave Swan 5* appears to be an affiliate of the company, from a search of their name. Hopefully that will be removed as it is against Trust-pilot policy.
This is typical of Swan who have a history of much worse corruption than this with employees previously being found guilty of falsifying documents. Swan are also under investigation by government regulators and have had their status downgraded in 2021 as they are not compliant with UK governance and financial standards.
As for my experience, I was a temporary resident in some accommodation at their Broomfield site for a couple of months. The bathroom was in a state of disrepair, and the customer service was even worse. I also received a £100 parking penalty when my permit fell from my dashboard one day half way through my residency. Swan refused to get involved and they allow the parking management company to enforce this on their customers, even when proof of a valid permit is later given. I understand I am not the first person this has happened to. In trying to resolve it I have found them to be purposefully evasive and repeatedly dishonest. Judging by other reviews and their history, this is a consistent theme of the way they do business.
I posted the above review on Google and Swan responded almost immediately, and very disingenuously, in the face of this public criticism. This is after they ignored me in person and ignored most of my emails for the last few months. They only responded in a timely manner after I asked my uni to intervene. Swan then cut me out of their response to my uni. They also never made any repairs to the bathroom for the duration of my stay which they claimed to have done in their public response to my Google review.
They’re a cowboy company who have no right taking people’s money. It’s quite disgusting that they have charitable status with their years of problems with the law, regulators and screwing over their customers. I’m not sure if they’re all villains or if the higher-ups force a culture upon the employees to behave like this.
Anyway I didn’t have a choice but to stay in a Swan property. If you’re lucky enough to have a choice you’d be a fool to go with them as things stand.

This company needs to be Dis-embowed, & company directors ie Keith should be locked up, We have a property that should be condemned, not fit for human habitancy.. No Gas Safety Certificate since 2019 Boiler out of action for last 8 Months NO Repairs done in 6yrs, F###ing Joke Stay away at all costs..
Warning - Do Not Use Swan Lettings!
Rented a property and had nothing but issues, Swan Lettings would not reply to calls or emails and refused to give deposit back. Total scam company!

7 of us had a house for our second year of uni. We each had to pay a £75 admin fee right out of the gate so that was already out of pocket. The carpets needing replacing immediately but never were. A few of our rooms had mould. Guttering hanging off of the house. Keep in mind we were paying £380 a month EACH. Customer service was awful and we each had to pay £97 out of our deposits as our rooms "weren't clean". Wasnt exactly pristine when we went in. DO NOT GO WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS

f there was an option I would give this company no stars. They screwed us over right from the beginning. Firstly they take our money promising us that the house will be ready by the first week of July. Later on when we realised things weren't looking good we had to call and inquire, leading us to find out that it won't be ready for at least another 3 months even though we had to back in uni by September. This put us in a horrific situation where we were looking for another house a couple of weeks before our move in date as they could not provide us with one that met our specifications. At the same time they took forever to get us our money back (missing two dates they provided us). Please do yourselves a favour and stay well away from Swan Letting. You can thank me later!
Terrible experience with the company
Terrible experience with the company. They have failed to keep many promises such as when the accommodation will be finished and when we would be refunded. Overall a stressful experience and would not recommend to anyone to select housing from here but instead to actively avoid it.
The WORST letting agency
The most unprofessional letting agency I have come across after dealing with the majority in Swansea. After 2 weeks of trying to contact them, with all phone calls and emails being ignored, the property we attempted to rent was withdrawn from us around 16 days before we were due to move in for University. We were refused compensation or another adequate property despite the contractual breach, which Balaram, the owner, denied. The refund was promised on 3 separate dates before being finally paid into our accounts, which almost jeopardised our chances of securing a different property with a different agency.
Would not reccomend to my enemies, an agency with a shed for an office and an equally fitting "businessman" owner.

Absolutely the worst letting agent I have ever used !!!!!!
- NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE EMERGENCY NUMBER
- Also, whenever I had a problem, I called but had to call about 3 times before anything was fixed.
- Don't count on any service they said you are supposed to have, they won't even try to pretend to care about it.
- Shared my contact info, including my two phone numbers and email address.
So if you choose to live here, wish yourself a good luck.
