Bad customer service, you may or may not get what you paid for

Getting a hold of an actual person to talk to is nearly impossible. If you do get to talk to an actual person, my experience is, they couldn’t care less. I don’t think I’ve ever talk to a company where they don’t even apologize for their mistakes.

If the shipping company loses your package, they won’t help you with a refund.

They lose your orders (as in the whole order goes missing) and half the time what you order either isn’t what you ordered or it’s out of stock.

If you are able to open a return for something that’s not as described you won’t get a refund for that either.

Disappointment, not deals

Terrible on all levels! I placed an order for 9 items on March 14, 2023, and my Visa was charged $62.59. They didn't even pack my stuff until March 24, when they sent me an email saying 2 items I bought and paid for were not available (they probably sold them on eBay in the TEN days it took for them to bother with my order). One of the items was of course the one I really wanted, but I was not given an option to cancel my order. $12.32 was refunded back to my Visa. I paid $10 for shipping but it still took another 5 days (I live in suburban ATL, not hard to find). Of the 7 items I received: the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans had the zipper sewn wrong and couldn't be worn in public. I had to literally throw them in the trash. Two pairs of shorts (new with tags) and one shirt were significantly smaller than their marked size; will give to the thrift store. One shirt was shown and advertised as being short sleeve but is actually a 3/4 sleeve shirt that I can't wear until fall, and may not then because it fits tight and the colors match my spring and summer items, not my fall items. One pair of denim shorts and one shirt fit well and I expect to enjoy them. So out of 9 items ordered, only 2 were as described. I paid more than $25 for the 2 items I'll actually wear and nearly $17 for the 3 items I'l actually keep. 90% of the items on the site are marked as non-returnable, and you have to ship items back at your expense and pay a high restocking fee, so basically you can't return anything. I could have gotten a MUCH better deal buying new items. A complete waste of $50.

TL;DR: Swap takes two weeks to deliver garbage that is messed up and/or doesn't fit and you can't return it. If you really want to buy something on Swap, buy it through their eBay account, not their website, so you can force them to take responsibility when they send you trash.

When I first placed my order I thought…

When I first placed my order I thought all my choices were available...then I got a message that said several were unavailable so I canceled my order...then several days later I got a message that my original order was coming...it arrived with most of the order but 2 items were the wrong size....I'm glad your business is growing but there were several disconnects (problems) within your system.

Good prices but slow shipping…

I have been a longtime customer of Swap but am ready to leave them for good. They’ve always had good prices and variety, but shipping is now extremely slow—it now takes 2 to 4 weeks after purchase to ship. And it is hit or miss whether I actually receive everything I ordered. They seem to have an inventory/quality control issue. It seem that with every order lately, I’ve paid for items that they end up refunding because the items are suddenly no longer available—or they’ve lost them in their warehouse at shipping time.

This is completely unprofessional, disappointing, and a colossal waste of the customer’s time. Also, the shipping price has risen to $9.99—the highest at any of the retailers I frequent. Ditto for return shipping, which used to be free and therefore added a level of confidence when buying. But not any more.

For all the reasons listed above, I only shop with Swap very seldom now because it’s such a gamble. I’d rather pay more with their competitors, like ThredUP, for better customer service and the confidence that I will receive everything I paid for and in a timely manner, and that the condition of the items are as advertised. Swap has been struggling with customer service since the pandemic began, I hope they can get it together soon.

really frustrating

really frustrating. I bought two items, one I really wanted, the other was just to use up a credit. The one I really wanted never shipped because it was misplaced (this has happed at least 3 times) and I was still charged full shipping for the item I didn't really want. I was credited for the amount of the item that didn't ship but was still very disappointed not to get it.

It was terrible

It was terrible, some of the clothes we ordered were ripped, some were dirty. Many of the clothes were already sold when I purchased it. I had waited 5 weeks on a pair of shoes that were sold,and somehow they "forgot" to let me know, I am now waiting for an in-store credit, because they somehow can't return the funds to my bank. The worst place to shop ever. Just go to a goodwill, at least you know what you are getting
