Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the booking process to be incredibly frustrating and difficult, often encountering issues with the website and its user experience. Customers frequently reported problems with logging in, creating accounts, and the system not recognizing their details. The interface was described as clunky, illogical, and not user-friendly, leading to significant wasted time and stress for those trying to book appointments. Some people also felt that the staff and service were inadequate, with concerns about cancelled appointments due to sickness and a lack of backup personnel. Reviewers mentioned that the system often failed to record bookings, and that finding available appointments, especially for specific locations or within a reasonable timeframe, was nearly impossible.

Absolute garbage not fit for purpose

Absolute garbage. Registered, accepted my password. Said it was strong. Got the activation code sent to my email address.
Then try to book an appointment and it says no email recognised. Then password incorrect.
Clicked reset password in case it was my error.
Still waiting on a reset to the email they sent my activation code to.
Absolute garbage.
I know my way around a computer and online phone activity.
What us an older person or someone not as competent to do.
Utter disgrace.

Dreadful

Dreadful. Trying to book a covid vaccine (Boots Ireland) everything works until transferred to Swiftqueue. Says it will send my registration code to my email and then nothing happens. Lots of people will give up. These incompetants will cause a covid resurgance!

What's the point of booking a time and a day to do a blood test? They don't keep anything running on time. I booked a blood test for 2:25 pm, and it's now 3:00 pm and my name still hasn't showed up on the screen. I asked a nurse what's going on and they said they're running 1h30m late... How the hell is this possible? What's the point of this service? Any at all?!? More of our hard earned money gone down the drain. Unacceptable.

GPs forced to rely on unuseable technology.

We used to have a great walk-in service for bloodtests, but now I've been forced to use something called Swiftqueue. Honestly, I've never come across such a user-unfriendly app. As an adult in my 40s, who consider themselves pretty au fait with technology, heaven knows what it must be like for someone in the 70s or older. Firstly it asked for my mobile number, then said it didn't that format, so I was forced to leave it blank. Then it asked me to search my GP - no results. Hospital - no results. Location - no results. Apparently nowhere in greater London offers bloodtests! No wonder the NHS is in such a state if it's forced to farm out services to get-rich-quick venture capitalists with half-arsed ideas and no grasp of technology. Now I have to got to the surgery tomorrow and take up more of their precious time because some beancounter has forced them to rely on inadequate technology.

Not even 1*

Not even 1*. Echo several other recent contributors. Apparently no centres available to book in Sutton, Surrey. Nearest 6km?? Help pages useless 'round & round in circles'. Inability to book on this site goes back at least 12 months. Fortunately our doctor's practice provides a phlebotemy service, often with a 4-6 week wait, but that's better than the poor effort Swiftqueue is.

Swiftqueue is a disaster

Swiftqueue is a disaster. The site crashes constantly, appointments vanish without notice, and finding an available slot is impossible. Logging in is a nightmare, and support is nonexistent. It's an absolute waste of time. Fix your system!

Bloody awful from start to finish and impossible to contact

Bloody awful from start to finish.

In a bid to be helpful, I thought I'd try and leave some constructive feedback on usability, and of course, trying to leave feedback or actually contact them as an organisation is the one thing they've managed to make even harder and more counter-intuitive than booking an appointment. Round and round in circles, chasing red herrings, and suggested pathways, searching in vain for a way to contact Swiftqueue directly as an organisation and ending up back where I started...

Swiftqueue total failure

The site refuses to recognise my GP centre. Nor can I enter my mobile number as the options generated do not match my phone. Therefore I cannot use it. There is no way to contact the alleged ‘service’ to inform them of this problem. I need an urgent blood test but have no way to book it. Am appalled to think that I am paying for this.

It worked fine for me

It worked fine for me. Gave a choice of appointments and locations for an x-ray and I made my pick. Several reminders came and then I went for my appointment. All went smoothly. Much better than the old way. Could not believe this was the NHS.

I'm disappointed to report that my…

I'm disappointed to report that my experience with Swiftqueue at Kings Mills Hospital fell short of expectations. I had driven 26 miles for a 40-minute journey to attend a scheduled appointment at 10:35, only to discover a ticket system in place with 34 people ahead of me in the queue. I was taken aback by the sheer number of people waiting.

With three phlebotomists on duty, I estimated that each person would take around 7-8 minutes to be seen. This meant I wouldn't be seen until at least 12:45 - a wait of over two hours. I couldn't help but wonder why Swiftqueue accepts appointments if they can't ensure a reasonable wait time.

In hindsight, I wish I had been informed about the ticket system and the potential wait time when I booked my appointment. A bit more transparency and communication would have gone a long way in managing my expectations.

I hope Swiftqueue takes my feedback on board and makes the necessary changes to improve their service. Until then, I would caution others to be prepared for a potentially lengthy wait when using Swiftqueue at Kings Mills Hospital, especially if you have a long journey to get there.

Swiftqueue it certainly isn’t swift

Swiftqueue it certainly isn’t swift

Frustrating…

They cancelled my appointment without a reason. Now I can't book a blood test because of a cyber attack; been trying for nearly two weeks. How long does it take to fix a health IT system? The UK is becoming a third world country and they are allowing it.

I would give this service 0 if I could.

I would give this service 0 if I could.
It’s astonishing that a service that was working ok compared to now has been made worse by this new booking system.
I managed to book but received a random email cancellation the day before appointment with no specific reason given.
The email was very system driven and impersonal which made me think it was a phishing email. And now the system is down over an apparent hacking attack.
At least when one could just walk-in for your blood test appointment, you could arrange it in your own time and be prepared to wait in waiting area.
Now it’s a convoluted and backward system that only made things worse. Please scrap it or make it work.

Check with you GP Clinic - verify first

I write because I fear others may come across the similar issues when time is not on our side. Sometimes we need answers quickly or treatment quickly and any delays may be the difference between healing or not.

My GP sent me for a Blood Test. I logged into SwiftQueue and booked an appointment from the list THEY provided. However, upon arrival the nurse could not find my details. Because the Hospital did not accept "GP referred" Blood Tests (I never knew that was a thing".

The nurse was kind, and suggested that I go to a local Hospital (around the corner) as they had places free for that day.

SwiftQueue however would not list that (around the corner) hospital for me to use. This mean't I was unable to get a much needed Blood Test as the hospital could not validate me on their system, nor could they send it back to my GP.

The lady taking blood said she had this a few times. So SwiftQueue must be aware. They must be aware that for "GP referrals" only some hospitals will accept you. It should ask if this is a GP referral, it doesn't. I had the administrator of the Hospital help me with the app and she could not find a way to short list the hospitals. In the end I went to the sheet of paper the GP gave me, which had a list of hospitals.

Sadly, I have to wait 3 weeks more (5 weeks in total) to get a Blood Test to understand what is wrong with me and to get treatment. An eternity when you are ill and fear the worst.

You feel scared. A deep fear unlike anything.

System has been down for over a week in…

System has been down for over a week in Greenwich and Lewisham for booking due to some ‘cyber attack’ whatever that means. For a society that wants every tiny little thing to go digital they really don’t care about people not being able to book and are not in any rush to fix the situation or provide an alternative means to book appointments and people in hospitals are being turned away by rude staff. If this was any other business this would be costing them serious money and they would have fixed it within 24 hours due to that. But i guess peoples health don’t matter.
