Damage due to broken equipment!
BBB.org Complaint:
On 08/11/2022 I went to swift wash to wash my truck. As I exited the carwash, I noticed a film or residue on my truck. I parked the truck, and the attendant came out and stated that they had a hydraulic line that had burst in the car wash. Several cars in front and behind me were sprayed with hydraulic fluid. The remedy by the attendant was to return to the carwash in an hour. Instead, I returned in 2.5 hours and they were still working on fixing the broken line. On my way back to the carwash my truck as well as others were directed by the attendant to go through the exit lane as the entrance was blocked. At that time, the exit bar came down on my truck and scratched the truck. I asked for the manager and the attendant told me he would be there as he was running his car through the wash. I spoke with Michael (Mike) Zolli and showed him the damage and was upset with the hydraulic fluid on my truck. I also, explained that I was directed to go through this area. Mike apologized and assured me there would be no damage from the hydraulic fluid leak. Mike also stated that customer service is paramount with Swift Wash and they would paint my truck if needed. Mike directed me to fill out an incident report for his corporate office. Today, on 08/16/22, I receive a message from Carin Falasco
(Swift Wash Customer Service), stating that this matter is my fault. Carin's partial canned and dismissive message is as follows:
After carefully reviewing your claim and the investigation performed by our on-site manager, we have determined that the damage you reported from the gate on August 11th was not our fault. In the attached video it is clear that you are too far over in the exit lane, which resulted in the gate hitting your vehicle when it came down. As for the hydraulic fluid, this was all removed from your vehicle the same day and didn’t cause any damage.
